Dan is the best diesel mechanic I've met in over 30 years. Extremely knowledgeable, fast, efficient and fair. He fixed up my LML 2013 duramax like nobody's business. Only uses quality OEM parts from the dealer. Modern day diesels are highly complex and difficult to work on and He appears to handle them all. After the repairs of putting my truck back to new he was responsive and helpful throughout my multi day journey to get the vehicle ready for California's absurdly difficult for diesels smog check. I am grateful that there are still honest and talented mechanics out there. I almost didn't leave a review because he is my secret guy and hopefully he isn't too busy next time I am in a bind. Can't go wrong with this guy from my opinion. Best value in LA.

I finally found a Diesel mechanic who can work on my 7.3 Ford . I was losing a lot of power and it was shifting hard. Dan replaced all the parts that needed to be replaced since it had over 135,000 miles on it. ICM, IPR valve, Exhaust sensor,wiring asy and cleaned it really well. He test drove it and said it was still not running well and asked about a ground that was on the MAP sensor. I told him it could be of three things. Sirius radio, Back up camera for camper, or for the batteries from the camper to charge while I am driving it.He removed and ground and test drove it. It solved the problem, more horsepower and torque, better shifting and now I will not have issues going over the Grape Vine or Cajon Pass with the camper on the truck. He knows the 7.3 like no other person I know. He even works on the metro trucks. I would recommend his work .

Professional, diesel mechanic, I have a 2007 F350 that was given to me by my Father. So this truck has sentimental value. I called Daniel at diesel specialist to let him know about the issues it has. He told me to bring it in so he can diagnose the issues. He recommended what I needed to do. I gave him the OK and at a reasonable price. My truck is driving awesome. I recommend diesel specialist to anybody that has a diesel truck. You won't be sorry he truly is a great mechanic.

I have always taken my Ford F250 6.0 to this shop for repairs, Danny is very knowledgeable and able to diagnose issues that my truck has. Had my oil cooler, and other sensors replaced so I could pass the smog test. Prices are reasonable the the workmanship is excellent. A mechanic you can trust with your truck.

Took my 2004 Ford excursion to S&S DIESEL Repair Montebello. they kept it for three months and could not repair my truck. I then took it to Daniel Zavala for a second opinion and he had it for three days and fixed my vehicle. Now it runs really good. Daniel is a specialist; He's an awesome troubleshooter. He won't waste your time or your money.

I can't say enough good things about Dan and Power Stroke Diesel Specialist! If I could give him better then 5 stars then I would! I had an emergency with my Ford 6.0 F350 with truck camper that broke down in a fire lane, Dan went above an beyond to help me after hours on the weekend not only accepting the truck into his shop but also helping me find a wrecker that could tow my RV as AAA was no help at all. . The very next business day I had an estimate on the needed repairs and recommendations on potential major upcoming issues. Dans quote was extremely fair and he completed all the repairs before the promised date. I also appreciated the fact that when I went to pick up the truck Dan took the time to not only show me the old parts but to thoroughly explain to me why they failed. Dan also steered me away from other, 3rd party recommended repairs saving me lots of money. I found Dan to be very fair in his quote, delivered the truck before the agreed upon date and he was extremely honest, what more could you ask for? It's been a very long time since I have received customer service such as this and I will be back!

Long story short, I bought a new to me truck. Had an oil leak after I bought it. Went to another mechanic and told me the motor was leaking from the heads, a $3,500 fix.I came here for a second opinion, and he found the leak from the front diff where the breather tube fell off. He put a new one on and I was on my way.Talk about saving 3 grandDefinitely coming back here

You guys still add it. No I work on my own trucks and just didn't have time to fix this. I called during the week and didn't need a diagnosis, like mentioning above I already knew what was wrong. I just wanted to make sure I sent it to a place who was knowledgeable and knew what they were doing. Was straight forward about the quote. I had another shop who quoted me over the phone and It was in and out in 1 day I'll add that a year later this guy somehow got my number and started harassing me. Txting me that why I gave them a bad rating and negative comment. will add the photos for proof. I believe in good customer service and ethics. You are just mad cause I called you out on it and I actually followed up on it.
