Great experience at Downey Hyundai leasing my first EV. After being frustrated by other dealers who weren't responsive, wouldn't give me price quotes, or whose quotes seemed way higher than advertised prices, we started reaching out to several dealers within a 50 mile radius. Juan Chacon responded quickly to my inquiry, offered us a better deal, and we hustled over to Downey shortly before closing to see if we could get this done. Juan, and Abel Alvarez in finance, were patient but efficient, answered our questions, and helped us drive off that evening with a new (and freshly washed) Ioniq 5. Juan has continued to be very responsive and helpful with my follow-up questions. Really glad we connected with Juan and Downey Hyundai.

I thought i had a pretty great experience at Downey Hyundai. They were able to get me the exact car i wanted down to the color at the price I was willing to pay. It was a fleet vehicle, meaning someone was renting it while their car was getting serviced. They were able to get the renter to switch cars immediately to deliver it to me. The guys there are very nice and accommodating. However, they offered to return my rental car for me as a courtesy and 2 weeks later i get a call from Hertz saying they never received my car. Upset by this, i reached out to Jose who promised to pay me back for the mistake. Well, that reimbursement never came. Very disappointed as i would have happily returned the car myself if i knew i was going to be charged $200 for their negligence. Now he is ignoring my texts and dms. Super disappointed this is how my mostly positive experience went. If you're seeing this, please pay me back and i will fix the review. Thank you.

Ihad the pleasure to buy my first ev car in downey hyundai sunny was the best from start to finish very tentative in everything demonstrated attention he address all my questions patiently and clearly I would definitely recommend downey hyundai.

SUCH A SMOOTH EXPERIENCE!
I couldn’t be any happier with the whole experience from Downey Hyundai. George, Eddie and Samantha made the process beyond easy from the comfort of my home in San Bernardino. I decided to lease a 2024 Elantra and got an amazing deal, the staff found the perfect car for my budget without having to step a foot in the dealership. They answered all of my questions over the phone then delivered the car to my door step by 7pm. Their customer service is exceptional, I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who needs a car or needs to upgrade. THANK YOU DOWNEY!!!

Update my experience here... it's been close to two months since we bought the Santa Fe from this dealership, yet we still have not received the complimentary charger they have promised us when we bought the car... the original salesman who sold us the car is not replying texts or calls... was able to reach the manager named George about a month ago, he was very nice and says he will locate one...but a month later, still nothing... let's just say the experience buying the car was pleasant but the customer service post car purchase is practically zero... very disappointing... I will continue to follow up and see if they ever fulfill their promise...
We bought a 2023 Santa Fe plug-in from Rafael Mejia right before July 4th. Also got help from David and George. Overall the experience was pleasant. The crew were very friendly and helpful, which are big factors that convinced us to buy the car the same day we walked in to check it out. Even though the computer system were slow due to recent technical issue, the finance person remain courteous throughout and thanks us for our patience. We are still waiting on the team to send us the promised plugin battery charger for the car. Will come back and update this review with a full 5 star once we receive it.

Service Dept - LIES AND DISSAPPOINTMENT.
I got a brand new car, the color I wanted was not ready as it was just delivered, it was completely covered in plastic (inside and out). I was told I could take it back later for the initial vehicle service they did NOT do as the car was right off the delivery truck and was not prepared. I agreed and after leaving, Downey called me 100x to schedule the initial service because it was very important, got it done soon after.
Per the miles on my car, the first 8k complimentary service was needed, Downey again called to remind me it was needed. When I went and was reviewing the paperwork, the record showed it was already done. They were charging my next comp. service. without telling me.
I explained and complained it was never done and requested to show me the service report, initial service AND the "8k" service AND look at the dates. The Rep just said "Oh, that's just a glitch, you already did it per YOUR request. If you want the comp. service it will count against you or you pay and it wont." Rep refused to accept and acknowledge the mistake. I asked for my car back for their BS and it was out quicker then when I waited turning it in.
REMINDED ME, the day I got my car. The SAME service dept were getting YELLED at by another unhappy customer, they made a scene about their unhappy experience and everyone heard and saw everything. They gave me the deal I wanted for the car I wanted but after this Service Dept BS, I will never go back.

BUYERS BEWARE. TOTAL SCAM.
Two and a half hours of driving one way. They did pull up the car for showing. the first major disappointment was condition of the car. It was all scratched up like a cat lived on it, some panels had discoloration or paint missing. The caviar was when the purchase order came in not only, they do not negotiate on the price on the car that looked nothing as described. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME $5875 in extras not counting tax and licensing.

Ok experience purchasing our certified used car. Honestly, a good car. It is a busy place, and seemed fair. The issue is service after the sale is extremely lacking. The way Hyundai certified used works is you are tied to that dealership for service. We were missing a trim piece from day one ( it was missing in the picture they take when you get the car). Been following up for WEEKS to get it fixed, or even just the part. Giving up on the “ bumper to bumper” warranty and purchasing the part on our own. We Just keep getting the run around. If you are looking for certified used, I would not purchase from this dealership again.

Wasted my time, confirmed one price over the phone then once I had arrived they tried to increase the price by $5,000. Beware!! Very Shady!!
