The California guitar academy has helped produce 2 generations of guitarists in my family. We have known Mike for 17 years and they have all been awesome. My son always looks forward to his lessons. They have several very patient teachers. And have always been accommodating with schedules. The studio has an open style floor plan where you can see into the music rooms and partially hear what is being played. After every lesson I hear about the progress that’s been made. If I could give 100 stars I would. The California guitar Academy has played a very big role in our lives and we are truly grateful for it.

I've been taking guitar lessons for more than a year at California Guitar Academy in Downey. Working with Mike, has been a wonderful experience. He's an awesome teacher with so much knowledge and patience. I am very happy taking guitar lessons there.

This place is like a second home Mike and Albert are the best music teachers I’ve met in my entire life I’ve learned so much in the past 2 years i couldn’t even play seven nation army By the white stripes but now i can play along to all my favorite songs and also make some of my own the knowledge that is shared here incredibly amazing i highly recommend people to check this place out great musicians and great people here!!

Mike is a 10/10 guitar instructor. His depth of musical knowledge is truly impressive, and he shares it in a way that makes learning both enjoyable and effective. His academy provides a welcoming environment for everyone, no matter their skill level. I highly recommend checking out this spot for lessons.

I had attended the Guitar Academy since 2020, it’s such a clean & nice environment. Mike is a great guitar instructor, i learned so much from him the last couple of years. I unfortunately had to move states but if i hadn’t moved i’d still be attending lessons. Great place, great teachers. (:

I was very fortunate to fine California Guitar Academy. I like the fact that they offer electric guitar and acoustic guitar lessons. Before finding California Guitar Academy I would call other guitar schools and they all or mostly none offer electric guitar lessons which was what I was looking for and Mike her guitar instructor is so nice and the ambiance of the place feels great! My daughter loves coming to her guitar lessons! I highly recommend this guitar Academy.

I have been taking guitar lessons from Mike Brunner for six years. Mike is an excellent musician and teacher. He is extremely patient and takes the student from where he/she is as a guitarist. The jam sessions Mike and I have each lesson is one of my weekly highlights. Mike’s down-to-earth personality resonates with all his students, and those checking out California Guitar Academy. Definitely a five star operation! Thanks Mike!

My son started electric guitar lessons with Mike back in January of this year. He’s only been there for 7 months and already learned so much from Mike he’s a great instructor who has a lot patience, and is really hands on which I personally think is the best way to learn. I love that my son always looks forward to his lessons. Definitely recommend California Guitar Academy.

Excellent option to take your child to guitar classes, my son has been learning for more than two years, Albert is his instructor and he is a very patient person and very dedicated to teaching, my son has learned a lot with the passage of time in a very fast and technical way. Mike, as the owner of the academy, is a person who makes you feel welcome with his treatment and kindness. With the price there is no doubt that it is very affordable for our pocket, and the facilities are very nice and clean.

My son began taking lesson at California Guitar Academy a year ago. All instructors are friendly & you can tell they enjoy teaching. I appreciate that Mike,my son's instructor, has taken the time to know my son & does outstanding in meshing my son's interests with the way instruction is delivered & how it is scaffold to meet his musical needs. My son enjoys CGA & has really grown musically. I highly recommend CGA. FYI- it is also very reasonably priced.

California Guitar Academy is a great place and opportunity to learn guitar skills.
My daughter and I (12yrs old) have been getting lessons from Mike over a year. He is very patient, informative, knowledgeable, and easy going!
The sessions start promptly and we learn each week something new. Mike takes his time going over notes, handling of guitar, tuning guitar and more.
He is always understanding when needing to reschedule, 24hrs in advance of course.
What can we say this place is great!
Mike is awesome! We are amazed by his skills and experience, he can play any tune or song you present to him.
It’s amazing!
Highly recommended this place!

Excellent musicians who take the time to listen and work with their students!!! My son has been taking lessons for a little over a year at the California Guitar Academy, and he has progressed at an amazing pace due to the kindness, patience, knowledge, and professionalism of these teachers. There's something about one on one face to face instruction that just doesn't translate from internet lessons.
If you, someone in your family, or someone you know is interested in learning and or mastering the guitar, you won't need to look anywhere else. These guys are top notch and have great rates.

My Son’s music Teacher and Owner Mike Brunner is Amazing! He is very knowledgeable, talented, easy going, respectful, and very professional. My Son looks forward to his guitar lessons on Wednesdays. I also love how clean his academy is, there is plenty of parking space, very safe and the warmth atmosphere is Terrific! I strongly recommend California Guitar Academy and I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
