The last time I went in for a mammogram, I signed in half an hour early. But was not called up. I went up and asked why. The receptionist was rude, accused me of coming in late, in front of the whole lobby, and told me I had just signed in, no that was the time she printed my papers, an hour later after I asked why I hadn't been called up. The receptionist I spoke to when I signed in whispered to her and she suddenly became nice. This place is terrible. I once went in with an appointment for an ultrasound, an hour and a half later, I walked out because I was sick of waiting. They have no concept of the patient's time.

I couldn't ever schedule an appointment for my mom's ultrasound. I waited on hold several times and left a voicemail message 2 times. No one ever called me back. I called through to an operator and she was supposed to connect me with a scheduler. Same story as above. I finally asked my mom's doctor to give her a referral for a different imaging facility. After seeing all of the other reviews I wonder how anyone got an appointment scheduled. It seems impossible.

This facility, United Medical Imaging-Downey does not take appointments for x-rays, but usually, most imaging places do not. I arrived around 10:00 a.m. There are several big signs posted that United Medical Imaging-Downey is practicing strict "Covid safe distancing" which I thought was old signs. Upon checking in, the receptionist told me very loudly that United Medical Imaging -Downey was still practicing "Covid safe distancing "and I would need to wait in my car, and they would call me. I told them I do not have a car and was instructed to wait outside in the hallway (although this is clearly another safety/fire issue waiting in the hallways) or to wait outside of the facility and they would call me on my cellphone. There are approximately 50 chairs in the waiting room, occupied and not spaced out, most people without a mask. Additionally, the waiting rooms walls were lined with people standing and outside in the halls there were about 20 people lined up on both sides of the walls. If they were really concerned about practicing the "Covid safe distancing", they would have taken out most of the chairs, gave appointments only like during the covid period. This was just a disguise for milling as many patients as possible for profit and greed!!! It was hot in the clinic since there was no air although I saw maintenance installing portable floor air conditioning units. That place was noisy and extremely crowded. There were elderly people waiting tirelessly. It took over 2 hours before I was called to window seven to sign a few papers and another 45 minutes before I was called back for the x-ray. Then I had to sit in a corner waiting to get my x-ray for another 15 minutes. The dressing "room" was so tiny I could not stretch my arms straight out, side to side, my elbow knocked the door, and it flew open while I was trying to change into the exam gown because the locks do not work. I could not sit down to change my clothes but really did not want to because the little seat was covered with a thin nasty blue trash bag for a cover and there was another used gown on it. If you weigh over 120 lbs. there is no way you can comfortably change your clothes! Still not understanding why I had to take my pants and bra off for an abdominal x-ray (I informed the technician that I had no metal on my street clothes or underwear) There was some discussion behind the protected door the technicians stay while taking my x-ray, he looked flustered and apologized for the discussion because he assumed I heard. The x-ray table had a plain rubber mat, but it felt greasy, and there was no paper cover on it which was a first for me! I just wanted to get this over so I could get out of that place since I had been there for well over 3 hours!!! The staff at United Medical Imaging -Downey are loud, rude, and extremely unprofessional. They were screaming out personal information, so the HIPPA laws/code do not apply to this place. This facility reminded me of the emergency room at General Hospital years ago where you went in sick and waited so long you saw the shifts change a few times or got tired of waiting and left, got well on your own or died! None of the staff know anything other than where they can get their lunch! Clearly, the only thing this facility cares about is milling patients for one reason only, MONEY!

This facility needs to be reported to the state There's no way they should be allowed to provide medical services

This was my first time coming here with my dad. The place was easily found and the parking lot was pretty big. Our appointment was at 10 in the morning. We got there 5 minutes after our appointment time and found the waiting room luckily with not that many people. We stood in the line to check in and we're attended to rather quickly and we're given the forms to update any necessary information. I'd say we waited about 10-15 minutes until they call my dad in. The assistant allowed me to come in with them and she was very patient and nice. I know everybody's experience is different but my experience went rather well! Everyone was really nice.

I previously had a bad experience trying to make an appointment with these guys-the wait time or non-answering the phone was the issue. Fast forward to a weeks ago, (yes I still had to wait some time on hold before speaking to someone but I did get through, just be patient), they do answer the phone if you key the correct keys. I spoke with Merci who's was amazing and caring for my needs. I did not feel rushed and when she did not know an answer to my question she would find out for me. I was quickly booked for an appointment, some other places were giving me availability month(s) out. I went in for the MRI and yes I had to wait about an hour after my appointment to be seen, but this is not on the associates. It really comes down to if the patient before you moves during the MRI images, this delays the process as they have to redo that scan, hence backing up future appointments ahead of you, so please try not to move as people waiting will have to wait even longer for their appointment.I was seen by a guy named Caleb. I am very claustrophobic and he was very caring and positive about my experience. Would see UMI again for future appointments if needed.

I did not have a negative experience at all here; I personally did not have any of the same issues as the other reviews. I can only write from my first-hand vantage point. This place is a true lifesaver. They took me in last-minute, and same day, for an MRI in which they seamlessly worked with my insurance provider with billing.I was very impressed with the policies and procedures in place here; everything was professional; quick; and almost effortless on my part, the patient. The building was somewhat easy to find; the large blue square on the corner. The office was ground-level which makes wheelchair access a breeze.I truly appreciate the technician for keeping me calm throughout my first ever MRI. I am beyond thankful and appreciative for the services provided to me at this Downey location.

They close at 6pm but they start refusing people at 2pm due to full capacity. I came from Eastvale and they did not mention this on their voicemail. Now I have to take my 86 year old grandma somewhere else. Unbelievable and very misleading.

God forbid you're a single mom with no babysitter needing a ultra sound done because you might have something wrong with your uterus and your only option is to take your kid with you only for the lazy $12 an hr people in the front to tell you that you're not allowed to bring your kid in after they had seen you struggle writing your name on the clipboard because your 2 year old son was tired and you had no option but to carry him. Obviously I didn't have someone with me otherwise don't you think I would've left them in their care instead of hurting my back to carry my child to my appointment. I didn't give you attitude because of the rule. I gave you attitude because in an office full of women somehow women continue to get discriminated for being single moms without help. I really hope these women who ignored my reason of anger aren't mothers because real mothers and real women understand the struggle.

I came here on a Friday arrived at 10am my appointment time was 1015. I honestly didn't wait long at all. I think the tech called me back around 1010 and I was out and done by 1020am. Quick. Simple. The equipment being used tho could seriously use some upgrading along with the office and bed. Other than that tho. I didn't wait along time as some other yelpers have mentioned they did

Poor customer service , the girls that work here are just talking too loud to each other , patients hearing their conversations. They don't get their work done because they talk too much which makes us wait longer to get called in for X-rays. I came here on 9/4/15 at 3:50.
