Advance Radiator is one of the few honest mechanics I know. The charge fair prices and get work done in a timely manner. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work on your vehicle!

Paid over 1200 for power steering repair that was done poorly
Took back vehicle for leak, said there was nothing wrong
Went back again when leak was worse, they said parts were out of warranty
Went to another repair ship that did a better job for life time part warranty at a better price and they informed me the first shop damaged an engine mount
Went back to the first shop and owner apologized but did not offer any restitution could because the second shop worked on the vehicle

Highly recommend this place. If you looking at the reviews just bring your car here. These guys are awesome and has very good prices. Me Guage was going up and down, my air conditioner was cool than hot and it was really hot outside. I stay very far from here but I was near this area. Ain't no way I could have made it home. I came here in all I needed was a new thermostatbin these guys solved my problem thank u such.

Don't know about all these 5 star reviews. I explained to the mechanic about my issue with my ac slowly giving out cold air withing a spn of 2-3 weeks and he recharged it right away. He then claimed it had a leak and that he would have to put some rubber seals. 3 weeks later back to square one, took the car back and now was quoted $700 more because now the thermostat is broken. Could have told me that in the beginning but either the mechanic isn't a attention to detail type of mechanic or he's just a cash grab scum.

Very misleading! I asked for My A/c to be fixed only to get a recharge instead of a fix but charged me a bogus "repair" and now 1 week later my A/c stopped working. If I wanted a recharge I would have done it myself for more than half the price! All the money to them I guess. Horrible customer service wouldn't recommend.

I have been a customer of Advanced Radiator and AC for years. They are without a doubt the best automotive AC shop in Downey. Whether your AC system needs charging or repair, this is the place to go. They are honest and their prices are reasonable. i have taken a variety of cars to them with all kinds of issues. I have always been treated well and given great service. They are always busy, but they somehow find time to help me. If you're the type of customer that wants the shop to stop everything and focus on you? This isn't the place for you. Advance treats everyone equally and does their best to help everyone. They are very professional and straightforward. If you can't handle this type of approach don't go there. They have many loyal customers and are always busy. If you want someone to hold your hand and kiss your behind, this isn't the place for you.If you want the job done correctly and at a fair price without wasting a lot of time? Check them out. Remember AC work is not cheap. If you believe you can recharge your AC system without evacuating your system with those kits they sell at Autozone, or you remember the days Freon was cheap? You're in for a rude awakening. Call other places first, or compare other places to Advance.

I went to this shop to get my air-conditioning serviced. I was greeted promptly and given cost quotes for inspection and cost for Freon. I was given an estimate regarding how long it would take and waited in their office area. I was told upon inspection that no leaks were detected so they recommended to just add Freon and a type of dye in case there is a leak in the future they can locate it. I was in my cool car in no time. Great place. Friendly mechanics and I feel the work done was at a reasonable cost.

I had my ac condenser/ AC cooler replaced here on a crown victoria for a leaky condenser. It's been 3 days no leaks, concrete under the car is bone dry, fluid levels have been the same ever since. Jose had my vehicle done the same day.

Took my son's car in that had overheated after just getting work done somewhere else. Advance Radiator was able to detect the leak right away. Dropped it off on a Saturday morning, expecting it to be kept over the weekend but a couple of hours later it was ready. Appreciate the quick work and good service. Highly recommend Advance Radiator
