Wow, is it wrong that I get overly excited when I receive top notch service? The receptionist who greeted and assisted me was so nice! It was at the end of the day and she was STILL very happy and excited to help me. Her server was over the top. I felt a little flustered with my paperwork and I didn't know what I needed to do. She assured me and provided me with guidance. I don't come in to use the DMV services here often , but trust me, I will be after my positive experience today. Thank you Downey AAA!!!

was never told the type of payments the accepted until all the paper work was done I had to step out and get cash then was told I had to get in line again and wait will not be coming back

Had wonderful experience with a worker who works with auto insurance. But the older lady who works at the front desk was very rude. Bad customer service. The young lady with long hair also in the front desk she was very professional. But older lady was very rude just letting you guys.

This review is specifically for for Daniel at the DMV desk. He was very informative, professional and efficient. I went in to pay tags and I received NO monotone condescending "we only accept cash and cc" with a little perceived attitude like I have in the past from other employees when paying my car tags. I've been a member for over 20 years and know what payments are acceptable. He improved my day with his excellent customer service!

If I could give AAA (triple A**holes) and it's employees negative 100 stars, I would. The insurance itself is wayyyyy overpriced for what it actually covers. Trying to get info from AAA is like waiting for the climax of a movie, but the movie itself DRAGGGSSS. In the end all you want is the resolution to happen ASAP because the movie was really NOT WORTH THE HYPE! Like AAA, they are not worth the hype! Customer Service: The downey location has a specific rep- Erika Terani, who does not return calls and when you show up to talk to her in person, she dismisses you with a rude and unprofessional attitude. Sweetheart, if customer service is not your calling, quit your day job because you're not fulfilling your mission/purpose here! When a client needs documents to be mailed or emailed, kindly do your job and provide said documents. I will NEVER waste my time, energy, and money on AAA again.

Vesnar provided the very best service in a speedy manner. They provided excellently during my entire interaction. If any aspect fell short, or needed any further assistance, I knew I could speak to the agent. My experience was outstanding!

Check in for DMV renewal + car insurance.Staff who did my renewal said your check in for the insurance,you won't lose your spot.After waiting for 45 minutes and check with another staff how long I still have to wait and he said your not check in.Instead of me being seen ASAP,still waited for another 20min and only reason they assisted me is they saw me very upset.Avoid this place.Check in at 1230pm and out by 2pm.Horrible wait time.

Normally we have a positive experience at the Downey office. Needed to pay registration. Checked in with one guy at window for DMVservices and a nice couple in front of me in line. The employee finished with the guy at the counter then helped the couple. Good, I was next. The line behind me started to build. The couple needs some interpretation help, so another employee showed up to help. Thought this employee would open up another counter. NOT. Now there are 9 people behind me and the only employee at the counter asks the couple if they’d like to apply for a AAA credit card for a free piece of luggage…..WHAT ???. They had to fill out the paperwork with income status like applying for a loan. When I finally got to the counter, I gave her my paperwork and asked why only ONE person was working the DMV counter. She said that they didn’t have enough staff and enough qualified staff to do the DMV services. I told her this was messed up and also gave my same concerns at the check in desk employee and was given the same short staff reason. This is our go to office. If this office can’t get their act together and train more employees to do the DMV services (which is probably 75% of customer’s needs), we will give Whittier a shot. I’ve also noticed that the Manager at this Downey office only answers positive reviews and ignores the reviews that should require some attention to fix the issues at hand. Sorry this is so long but I feel better now. Thanks for reading and a shout out dare to the Manager to reply to these issues and this review. Yeah right.

Awful Membership Service.. please avoid this AAA office if you can. ...was there for a license plate replacement and at the check in part told the employee. I'm here to replace stolen license plate can you please check and see I have every document needed. Her response you have all you need. After 1 and 40 minutes waiting for my name to be called. Reached the window handed my documents.. the AAA rep. ... response your are missing 2 items .... Walked out the office. Byeeeee

My review is solely based on paying my DMV renewal and getting my current tags for my plate. Having experiencing making payment the prior year at a different office, I remembered to bring my checkbook. Using your card would result in an extra fee. My visit to the Downey office took place on a Saturday, an hour before they closed. Walked straight up to the DMV services desk and she checked my paperwork. She directed me to another line where they took payment. I waited no longer than 15 minutes altogether. Saturdays morning are happening in the area. I later noticed this AAA has their own parking lot. I overlooked it because there's a Farmers Market right outside their lot. I parked in the structure across the way. Porto's is on the same block.
