The reviews about Hrant’s practices are true and I am not a secretary. We had been coming to Hrant for a few years (about 4-5years) and everything was good. He is a nice guy. BUT…something happened to him in 2022-2023. What? Who knows? Only he knows. Things happen in people’s lives. Illness, divorce, family issues, depression etc. Had he only been honest and said “I’m sorry, I dropped the ball, I’m going through some stuff, I will correct what’s wrong and get to the bottom of your concerns which you have so generously paid me for”. BUT…no…that is not how he responded.
Our taxes took almost 2 years to be processed (1 and a few months giving Hrant the benefit of doubt and about 6 mos to actually get it done myself and waiting for the IRS to process). My daughter just literally received her IRS refund from (2021 tax year)2 weeks ago it took hers 2 years. After calling Hrant many times and being patient, I decided to go to the IRS myself. Hrant would always say “ I don’t see why the IRS system tells you there is no record, I have confirmation on my side, let me call my person there and find out”. I would never get any call backs ever. Then he started to not take my calls or return my emails. His secretaries covered for him…he wasn’t there, he was on the phone, he was with a client. I actually began to feel bad for his secretaries because they had to lie for him and I can tell by the sound of their voice and the blank answers they responded. One day, (before I went to the IRS myself) I just decided to show up unannounced with my daughter. He was there, his door slightly ajar. I saw him, he saw me….I waited. Told him I still haven’t heard or received anything what is going on, where are our refunds? My daughter, her boyfriend, the boyfriends mom and boyfriends brother had all gone to him with our referral and we all had the same issue.
He went on his computer, he sang the same song…”it shows confirmation on my end” but no follow up as to him calling the IRS to check.
When my daughter and I went to the IRS they told us that both our taxes had not been filed. I even asked Hrant to file an extension for the 2022 year taxes at that time and the IRS didn’t have that either and Hrant had confirmed to me that he had filed it as well. So after finding this out from the IRS, we exclusively dealt with the IRS from that point. We all had to provide them with paper copies, which they stamped and submitted. I showed them who our tax preparer was and showed the IRS agent all the online reviews of all the same complaints. They suggested we file a complaint with the IRS. They gave me the form. At that time, I was more concerned with getting all our filings taken care of. I did not file the complaint, but I can still do it. However, here online, it would get more information and experiences out to those that seek good services that are paid for. We all finally, got our tax filings done and refunds received. I have since found an outstanding CPA who has been very helpful and has corrected some issues. An honest person, is always the best kind of person to work with. When that person chooses otherwise, or does not take accountability for their mistakes then it’s time you know that you have to move on. Good luck to all.

The negative reviews below are from two nasty secretaries who stole half his business, the negative reviews below are fake , they are from those two nasty secretaries period.

Harant is extremely knowledgeable, he is a financial expert, this guy teaches you to get rich, teaches you to run your finances, business, not for profit, he's very affordable, fixes the worst tax situations!
This guy is like family after what he's done for me !
He's made my brother a very wealthy and successful man, my brother's life used to be a financial disaster without Harant.
We owe this guy complete credit for our success.

I used Hrant for our taxes for years! Always a great experience and then in 2022 everything went to shit and it's just know catching up to us in 2024! He supposedly filed our taxes each year and since we always owe due to be a business owner, we never had a refund to look forward to or follow up on. So I assumed it had been done. He would even print it all out for us! Come this year. It was time to file and Hrant was absolutely impossible to reach. So I ended up having to fend my us on my own and learned that 2021-2023 had not been filed! We owe so much money in penalties and I just can't believe all of this is happening. I will also be making a claim against him so I can try to fight these penalty fees. This is so unfair. Grant was always such a sweet man, I don't know what happened along the way.

SAME PROBLEM like everyone else. Unbelievable! Stay away from this business. We haven’t received our taxes in 2 years and now found out he never filed after saying he did. We have a property and got a notice that we are getting penalized. I really trusted him but I was wrong. Now I need to call the board of accounting to complain and try to fix this myself since he is ignoring me now.

I have been going to A&A ever since I started my consulting business in 2018. He was very helpful in consulting me on my LLC. He's a nice man and his staff was always very helpful. The nightmare started when I began to receive notices from the CAFTB stating that I owed them back taxes for 2020. I contacted him several times and never received a return call. I have a pretty busy life and time passed only to receive another notice. I thought he handled it because I hadn't heard from CAFTB in some time. Surprise! I received a final notice stating I was going to have my accounts frozen with liens. Mind you it wasn't a lot of money but I didn't want to deal with a tax lien. Since he never called me back, I called the CAFTB and come to find out he hadn't filed my taxes for 2020, 21, and 22. Three years of taxes have not been filed and I just checked my Federal Taxes and they've not been filed either. Luckily I'm owed a little bit of money and the fact that the IRS is so understaffed, so maybe that's why they haven't come after me. Incredible. 3 years of unfiled taxes not to mention the hundreds of dollars I paid him to do complete and file them. I've noticed other people have had the same experience. I don't know what happened but I think legal action may be in his future.

I would never use this place again ! My husband and myself have used Hrant Bedikian in the past with no problem however, this year has been a nightmare! I paid to have my taxes to be filed March 2023. I never received my refund . I have called every day for the last 3 months. I have been given appointments’ to have Hrant call which he NEVER keeps. I have been blocked now when I call. I have to try to get a hold of IRS now to see if he even submitted my taxes . This is clearly the worst experience with a taxman, I would suggest using someone professional.

Received a penalty for $4620.00 from the IRS because Hrant did not file 2021 tax returns for my dads business. He even gave us a copy of the returns showing that he had filed. Unfortunately for corporations you can't login online and find out if they have been filed. So I called the IRS and come to find out they hadn't been filed. There are so many other faulty actions from him but I'm not going into detail. FILE A CLAIM AGAINST HIM WITH THE IRS FORM 14157 AND THE STATE. file your taxes that he swears he filed Wait for the penalty notice Call the IRS they will waive the penalty File a claim against him I never leave reviews but this is a must. Still haven't received financial statements that we already paid for when we were his client. Next step will be legal action.

Unfortunately, I did have the same problem with Hrant! I had to call him at least 3 times and never called me back. When he finally showed up was reassuring me that everything was fine, and submitted my taxes. My wife’s taxes still pending according to him… stay away from this place

I've been using A&A Accounting (Hurant) for years now as they came recommended by my parents. No problems till this year. Filed back in March and have yet to find the return on the IRS website. Called, emailed, even stopped into the office over the span of the last 3 months with no response, then I received a letter in the mail from the IRS that I didn't file CA taxes for 2020 which I have documents showing we did with Hurant. I call they say "I'll take a message" "he will get back to you" and no one ever calls back. I have sent over 7 emails with no response. When stopping into the office I was assured that I was have an update that following Monday as he was leaving early for the day and could help me before leaving on another vacation the following week. Never got an email, call or text. Thought this was somewhere I could trust. I don't even know how to proceed next. Disheartening. Customer service has failed terribly this year.
