“This shop really does stand by its name (FAST) They had my truck all done within a couple hours. I walked in their shop after Christmas. I was going to drive to Mexico that weekend and wanted to get my truck fixed as it needed the grid heater replaced (Check Engine Light Was On). Although I did not have an appointment and after talking to Eddie about my trip he took it upon his self and committed on having my truck fixed within hours. Eddie and his technician were very kind and respectful. I will definitely be going back to Fast Eddie and will recommend this shop to anyone looking for good, quality, and reasonable prices.”

I had a lift kit installed on my Sierra Denali by Elite in Woodland, and they completely ruined the ride. They installed the wrong kit, I couldn’t even use 4-wheel drive, and the tires were rubbing badly. I went back many times but never got the results I needed. I was so frustrated I honestly felt like selling the truck.
Then I searched on Google and found The Chop Shop. After reading the good reviews, I decided to give them a try. I’m so glad I did.
Shawn saved my truck.
He removed the incorrect kit and installed the right one. He’s extremely helpful and—most importantly—he actually knows what he’s doing. He’s honest about the products and the timeline. No excuses, no stories—just straight, honest work.
About a month later, he even texted me to come back for a re-torque, which most shops forget to do after they get your money (unlike my experience with Elite Woodland).

“I apologize ahead of time for the long review, but hopefully this will show what a great mechanic Dave is. By far the best mechanic we have ever met. We have used Dave for multiple vehicles with different issues. I brought in a 2006 Hyundai Sonata that had a ton of issues. He told me that he could fix it, but it would not be cost-effective for me when the repairs cost more than the car itself since it’s an older car. He also let me know that after the repair was done, another part could fail shortly after due to the condition of the car. He was extremely honest and you could tell right away he knew what he was doing. He said he would gladly do the work if I wanted but said if I was in a position to look for a new car, I should do that. We ended up buying a new vehicle and when that vehicle needed new brakes, we brought it in. He quoted me a price and when I came to pick up the car, my invoice was significantly less than what he had originally quoted. I can honestly say I’ve never had somebody charge less than the quote. He said it took less labor than what was listed and it was an easy job. I then brought a vehicle in for a leak and he told me how my husband could fix the leak at home and then I could come back and he would fix it if we couldn’t do it ourselves. I really appreciated that he could have immediately charged me to do the fix rather than told me that but instead he tried to help us out. We ended up not being able to fix it ourselves and went back to him. His quote was very fair, and for the exact same repair the dealership had quoted me FIVE times the amount that Dave did it for. I can’t stress enough to go here for anything minor or major. In this world honesty and fairness seem to be hard to find, but not at Independent. Also, he is the only person in the shop, so if he doesn’t answer leave a message or stop by!”
“I has a sit down electric scooter with a popped tire, I had the tire and called all the bike shops in the area who all said they couldn't do it, the shop here in Dixon didn't even know where to send so I called Dixon Tire Pros. They did it! They were so great, super friendly (I dealt with Rocky) and knocked it out no problem at all. I did have to leave it and pick it up several hours later which I was more than ok with!
Now I'm headed back for tires for my SUV and will continue to support them.”

“An honest trustworthy auto shop exists? Yes! We had a car towed to Superior Auto Body after an accident nearby which at least rendered one of the tires flat and perhaps more unseen damage. We were warmly greeted by Brian that morning. He took us around the back where the car was and assessed the damage. We were upfront with him that the car is old (10 years old) and not worth much. If the cost of repairs exceeded the approximate value of the car then we would want to just scrap the car. I appreciate how transparent this shop is. (Price for labor is clearly posted on the wall.) Brian was upfront with us breaking down the estimate for what would be bare minimum repairs he would do for safety if it were his own family car. This was just from what he could see before taking it up on the lift to inspect the underside. It was already running up close to our budget to replace two wheels, two tires, fox the front bumper and an alignment. So even though it meant we would not want to spend the money on the old car he was very understanding and we never felt pressured. He even asked to make sure we were okay from the accident, offered water/coffee, and spoke to his boss who offered to let us keep the car parked on their property for a couple days for free since it could take some time to sort these things out. They are good, honest people. If I were ever in a situation in that area again I'd love to give them my business and highly recommend them.”
“They're known in the community and got reccomended. Went in to ask them to seat the bead on a scooter tire, my compressor just couldn't do it. Walked up, waited for a bit, explained the request and the gentleman got it done in like 5 minutes. Then he didnt even charge me. Very nice.”
“I’ve been having issues with my Tesla Model Y Performance shaking at speeds over 65 mph for a month. I had two new tires installed by America’s Tires recently and didn’t know what the issue might be.
I arrived at 5:35pm and the staff helped me right away. The tires were all balanced and I found out my new passenger rear tire was out of round.
When I left the steering wheel had extremely minimal shaking compared to before. I’ll be back for front new tires soon !”
