Have you ever been somewhere and while sitting back your vision widens and you begin to see things you didn't notice before? That's what happened to us on October 6, 2023. We walked in and requested 2 pedicures. Chairs were quickly prepped and we were seated. Everyone was working and all seemed well. As my tech finished trimming and prepping my nails I began to notice things I hadn't seen before. Very dusty fixtures, rusty water stains behind the chairs on the floor, the dirt buildup on the foot rest, the tingle on my toe where I felt like my tech had nipped my skin.....but then I saw what horrified me. My wife's tech was pulling tools out of a plastic bin marked SOILED. I sent her a text, as to not make scene. When she noticed she quietly whispered to the tech inquiring why the tools he was using were being pulled out of a box marked SOILED. He said that the State Board makes them put the label on. As a State Board licensed esthetician she told him she knew what the state Board required but she didn't understand why the tools he had been using were being placed in and out of a dirty box. He couldn't really and just keep saying that they have to put that on there. Not able to get the information communicated clearly my wife allowed him to finish the pedicure only the massage and polish remained. While sitting for our toes to dry we watched more closely at the techs practice. We realized then that they were in fact using SOILED tools on clients. Neither my technician or my wife's got clean nippers or clippers for their next client. They both did pull the picking tool and cuticle pusher out of a wrapped package. Hind sight being 20/20 neither of us recalled the techs doing that for us.When we went to pay we asked the guy checking us out about their tool sterilizing protocol. He said they wash the tools. We told him that we noticed that the tools were being taken out of a box marked SOILED. He told us they wash them. When we pointed out that the tech had not opened a pack of sterilized tools he doubled down by saying, "If they were dirty why did you let him finish the pedicure?!"We were not trying to avoid paying. In fact we opted to pay in cash rather than be charged their crazy debit card fee for EACH pedicure, even though the card was only been processed one time. We were inquiring about the use of dirty tools and pointing out what we had just witnessed and experienced first hand. We told the two clients being worked on after us that they were having their nails cut with dirty nippers that had just been used on us. One lady didn't seem to understand and the other didn't care. (I suppose if she gets an infection she might change her mind.)While taking photos of the techs license I asked to step around the back to take a photo of the business licence. He told me no. To his frustration I snapped a photo of it from where I was. I zoned in to the photo and noticed that the Establishment Licence had expired 11 months ago. When I pointed it out the man said he paid they just didn't send him the new one. He said he has an email saying it is not expired. When I asked to see it he told me no. When we asked for a business card there was not business license number on it (as required) so we gathered as much documentation as we could and left. All in all we're in the process of filing a complaint with any and all departments charged with overseeing this practice. DO NOT get any services performed here before checking to see the licenses are current, the sterilizing protocol are being enforced and used

In response to the owner statement below:You are lying about Stareboard as they are not open on Saturday or Sunday- so you couldn't have spoken to them since yesterday or today. You're also lying about us questing to pay....we didn't start asking about your practices until AFTER we paid.Your license was almost a year expired... it doesn't take that long to get it in the mail and you can print the renewal online. And I did not say I saw them using dirty tools during my service, I asked him why he was pulling tools from a box labeled 'soiled'. He assured me they were not... but when we witnessed them using the exact same nippers on the next client, clearly your practices are lacking!Upon looking around the floors and chairs - they hadn't been cleaned in a VERY long time. And trust me, we are filing a complaint with state board tomorrow, as well as the city, and with OSHA.Last, the fact that you have community support.... but then violate that trust with less than acceptable cleaning practices really says how little you value your clients.*****Dirtiest place I've ever seen.Establishment used DIRTY tools on us.. then told us they use that unless the customer stops them. and had expired license through city

The worst place I’ve ever been to hands down. I went to get my acrylic removed and then decided to get a gel manicure. The lady didn’t even bother removing all the acrylic before painting it with gel. There’s humps and lumps on my nails underneath the paint, and the gel started chipping within 3 days. Save your money and go somewhere they care.

Got a pedicure here (second to the most expensive). It was just eh. He didn’t bother to round out the nails completely and didn’t massage my feet AT ALL. Didn’t even slap some lotion on them ! They are more dry than when I went in. He “massaged” my lower legs; more like a wipe on/wipe off ?(yes, massage was supposed to be included). Then they wanted to kick me out asap without even letting my polish dry for 5 seconds. (No, there were no customers waiting). It appeared that customers were happy with the owners nail service though. For 50 bucks, I guess I just expect a little more.I don’t think I’ll be going back ……. Too bad, bc I live in town.Service: Pedicure

Had appointment but walk-in went ahead of me so I sat in chair for 20 minutes or so but no one spoke to me about it. Finally someone attended to me, only one guy spoke English that I could tell. My pedicure was extremely quick, usually it takes at least 45 minutes, I was done in probably around 20 minutes. Later on that night I felt my feet and they were still rough, not impressed at all, will not go back.Service: Pedicure
