Joel and Britt are so patient and knowledgeable. The no nonsense tips and tricks really helped me see where I was going wrong with my German Shepard. Their training yard is spacious and clean.

I can't express how much I love BVDT!! Hands down the best!!! Joel Monroe has such a passion with dogs and tons of knowledge and experience under his belt it's unbelievable. I just completed the OB and intermediate course and my boxer has improved so much from this training. With Joel's backyard of also being a former teacher, he explains and makes things very clear and understanding. I will always go back to BVDT with any new pup of mine needing any type of training in the future. I highly recommend Joel & Britt Monroe! They are awesome!

The best dog training you can find! With Joel Monroe and his 30 plus years of training dogs, there is a program for every dog and every issue. I have personally trained two dogs under his watch, and he truly showed me how to get where I wanted to be with them. Love this training!

BVDT has had a very positive impact on the way I handle my Belgian Malinois. Joel Monroe's vast experience and patience has helped me train my dog to be in public, and to not have to worry. I have never worked with a dog trainer before, and I was very nervous because I had no experience. He made me feel welcome and he was extremely patient with myself and the others in my classes. I have completed Basic Obedience and Intermediate Obedience and I cannot wait for our next class!! I highly recommend Joel for anyone needing help with dog training.

Joel Monroe has all the insight, knowledge, patience, love for this sport and passion to see your dog succeed. He has what it takes to turn an unruly puppy and a totally inexperienced dog owner into a team. His ability to understand both human and dog psychology is what makes all the difference, his passion for sport turns handlers into captivated disciples. He does not sugar coat and gives it to you straight. Above anything Joel wants your team to succeed and puts in a tremendous effort to see that it happens. There are a lot of great handlers out there, natural ones, that can get their dog to do anything. Joel can teach you to become one even if you were not born to do it.

We loved the training techniques and advice we were given during our time with Joel and his wife. They very obviously love dogs and want the best for you and your pup. Took my GSD puppy for some training. Learned more in two hours than we had at other places. Gary and Peggy were both great helps and very knowledge! Would definitely go back!

I LOVE THIS PLACE. The owner is very helpful and patient with our dog's as well as us.(the parent's of the dogs) He shared the story of why & how he became a trainer. I like the fact that he trains POLICE DOG'S. The class is broken down to ensure success with the dogs and handlers. I'm a firm believer that a well trained dog & handler makes for a much happier and safe home. If you have a puppy or young dog DO YOURSELF AND YOUR DOG A FAVOR AND CALL THEM. The classes fill up fast so don't wait. They even do little puppy classes. Your dog will LOVE UNDERSTANDING what you are asking of them.

Joel and Britt are great! Joel's Basic Obedience class is amazing and truly does change your dog from chaos to control as his website states. He teaches the owner how to handle and train their own dog, creating a bond and understanding how the dog thinks. If a person wants, they can further advance and work toward competition obedience in AKC and/or Schutzund. Great place. I had a crazy stubborn Doberman a few years back and Joel was the only trainer I found who could help. I went through his 8 week class and it truly was from chaos to control with my headstrong boy. I highly recommend. Currently we are taking our new Doberman through his class. I receive compliments wherever we go on how well behaved he is. Thank you Joel.
