Stopped by today and asked for some help locating a medical-related item in the store. Instead of just pointing me in the direction the staff member in the pharmacy helped me directly. She was so friendly and welcoming, and she made my day. Thank you for your help!

I went in for a covid-19 booster and a flu shot in the same day as a walk-in. They had different options for the booster which is a plus. The process was painless, the wait was short, and the staff was very friendly. I would gladly return to this pharmacy for future needs!

Great experience with Austin the first two times I came here. I got a cat bite and was prescribes a rabies vaccine. No where does it say that the pharmacy doesn’t provide vaccines after 4 pm, we arrived at and waited at the vaccine window until 4:30 and the white haired pharmacist who is about 20 years past retirement age told me it takes her too long to type it in for me to be able to get the vaccine today. Then she said would call walgreens for me “but isn’t going to because she already knows they won’t answer”. When I asked if that was policy she wouldn’t answer and just said most stores don’t do vaccines after 4. I offered to wait until she had time but she said that is not an option. Obviously her only concern was leaving at 4:59. There were no other customers at the pharmacy besides me. Thank god for Austin’s exceptional customer service and lovely demeanor the first two times I came here. He is obviously the saving grace of this pharmacy.Also when I asked for the store manager, the gal at customer service called, then she poked her head out of the mirrored office, the went back in and hid and was not interested in talking to me or answering any questions.

They don't ever answer their phone. Your prescriptions won't ever be ready, and some of the pharmacy staff will be extremely rude to you.

I came by during my lunch break to pick up my prescription and on the drive over called to DOUBLE-check that it was ready because I had already gotten a text that confirmed it’s pick-up. The woman who answered the phone couldn’t find my name or prescription… waste of my time and I don’t understand how I got the text if it wasn’t available or ready?

I tried to cash a lottery ticket at Safeway in del Rey oaks in Monterey. I went there the first day and they said the desk closed at 7 pm. So I returned the next at 6:50 the employee at the window walked away from the counter. So I asked the cashier to call someone. Another employee came over and couldn't tell me exactly when I could come to use the check out station. After waiting 10 min The manager Mini came over a acting rude like she didn't want to help. She didn't say hi..she just said where's your ticket. Then she was slamming the drawer around and acting like in unconvinced her. She asked when I came in and then gave me the cash and told me I can go to a gas station to cash them. She said the hours were open til 8 pm. Though no one is there to help you when you come in. She was short and rude like I inconvenienced her. I've shopped her for 10 years so I definitely will not shop here any more. Its not cool to be rude to customers when they are going off the hours the employees state, then to be rude on top of it.

I have always had such great service at this pharmacy. They have a really good web site that you can set up appointments for vaccinations. I set my mother up to get a covid shot in the Monterey area. She recently lost her vaccination card and I called the pharmacy to make sure they would help her. They looked her up on the computer and I gave them the vaccination dates and they says no problem. They answer the phones and give excellent customer service. I highly recommend this location for all your pharmacy needs.

really uncomfortable and unprofessional experience trying to pick up my prescription here. The pharmacist honestly made me feel like I was attempting to pick up heroin or something instead of my prescribed medication. I had just moved to the area for my partner’s military service so my doctor in another state sent my script in. From moving around a lot, I have had a doctor in another state send my *very much needed and prescribed to me* medication to a pharmacy for me many times before and have never had an issue. The pharmacist at Safeway nearly refused to fill my script from my doctor since they were out of state, saying that IF he filled it, it would be for this ONE time. It was awkward and uncomfortable and felt like he was threatening to withhold my medication from me. Not only that, but the script wasn’t even filled from being sent in the day before, so I had to leave and come back two hours later. When I came back, there was an issue with my insurance and I was going to have to pay out of pocket, so I tried to use a GoodRX coupon. That same pharmacist then told me that since he knows I technically have insurance and even though there’s an issue with it, he can’t allow me to use the coupon ??? At that point, I felt even more uncomfortable and honestly really judged and confused and his tone was harsh and accusatory throughout. Not things you want to feel when picking up medication you need. I left and had it filled at CVS instead, and had no issue with them filling it or accepting the GoodRX coupon.

So far, excellent. A human answered the phone quickly (unlike CVS or Walgreens), checked their stock for the rare item we needed, and called our insurance to make sure we were covered. I hope to make them our "go to" druggist.

I love this pharmacy. Rarely a line, a really nice pharmacist (Mina is his name) and co-workers when the pharmacist has them. I notice that on weekends, there are rarely any pharmacy technicians to help the overworked pharmacist who is doing everything all weekend long. Safeway, kindly consider raising pharmacy tech wages more to an $17-18/hour to retain technicians, pharmacists and customers. Love this pharmacy.

Experience depends on the pharmacist. One of the technician (İ don't want to name) is not that efficient. They accept GoodRx, which is good. Service is not as good as the CVS but with GoodRx, prices are cheaper compared to the CVS and couple other pharmacies in the area.

THIS PHARMACY DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE when a customer goes with the automated option to speak with a technician. I tried many times to get through with a request about a prescription and no one answered. Plus they are not allowing messages to be left in their voicemail box because they received too many covid19 questions!
