We were in the area and wanted to go to the beach and I just needed a quick and inexpensive bikini. The selection is huge in this store, but the sales person did not even give me a chance to look around. I had to ask for her to please let me take a look. She was rapid fire throwing bathing suits at me, and I think I ended up with 9 in the dressing room? She was very pushy and didn’t even give me time to put one bathing suit on before she was coming back with another and I only ended up getting two on before I just gave in and said I’d purchase the one on sale she brought in to just get the experience over. The prices are not reasonable, at all. I ended up just getting a bikini on sale which is fine but we also purchased an umbrella for $60 and a “blanket” for $40. The umbrella is so small, chincy and a complete waste of money. The ones for $20 at Target are way better. The “blanket” is the size of a shower towel. To top it off they do not have a refund policy either, everything is final sale. We left the store full of regret on how much money we spent in there but was hopeful the umbrella and blanket would be worth the money. The only part of the experience that I liked was the little dog named Winston that greeted us. If you are in the area and need a bathing suit quick, just drive the extra 5 miles to Target, or literally any other store in the area.

The selection is vast for older women but very limited for younger adults/teens. The woman who works there also made me feel very insecure about my size (I'm 5'9" and have a hard time finding one piece swimsuits that fit right), so whenever I reached for a pattern that I liked she would say, "That won't fit you" or "That's not your size, you're a 10" (when I'm a 6-8 between M and L)...wasn't very impressed with the service and felt pressured to try on styles I had already specified that I didn't like.

Buying a swimwear is not always an amazing experience, especially when you're shopping for a 1 piece (for a modest look on a family vacation) for the first time in years. Sun Splash has tons of amazing options but more importantly the service is great. I went in one night just before Christmas and Ana Claire helped me. I must have tried on 30 suits - she just kept coming with ideas and gave really honest feedback. I landed with 2 suits I loved and a back-up. Apparently the store even closed while I was there and she didn't say anything, stayed after hours to make sure I had something that met my needs and was appropriate for the occasion.

Great experience shopping here with so many options! They helped me find the perfect suit and helped me with so many options that I may not have selected but ended up being what I picked in the end. Only positive feedback for this shop. Shop here and you won't be disappointed! Will definitely go back!

SunSplash has the best selection of swimwear and more in San Diego! I felt confident and comfortable in this store and received the best customer service ever!! The sales team suggested the best suits and coverups for me and I found everything I needed for my upcoming trip! Definitely will be back!

I did not have a good experience in this store. The woman was rapid-fire throwing swimsuits at me that I did not even like. She was very direct and very intimidating. I repeatedly told her I could not wear the itty bitty bottoms, but she kept insisting and saying, “Oh, yes you can! Here!” I didn’t tell her that I have had several abdominal surgeries, which why I don’t wear bikinis, because it was none of her business. When a customer says no, they mean no. She repeatedly rolled her eyes at me when I didn’t like a suit. When I came out of the dressing room and only had two things in my hand, she said, “That’s all you are getting? Oh my God”! And, of course, she rolled her eyes again. I spent a few hundred dollars in this shop, but I wish I had not purchased anything.

This store has a beautiful selection of swimsuits. I liked every single one I tried on. The owner of the store was absolutely wonderful, she helped me pick out the perfect suits for me based on my liking. She was extremely kind and helpful the entire time. I definitely recommend checking this store out for your swimsuits. There was such a large selection and she even had some pretty dresses and jewelry!! I will be coming back in the future.

I am going on a few vacations in the next few months so I stopped in to get a few items. I was not greeted at all even though there was a lady sitting behind the counter that saw me walk in (she was older with reddish blonde hair and glasses). I actually prefer to not be bothered by the associates while I shop but saying "hi, welcome in" or something of the sort should be standard especially since (I assume) this is a small business. Eventually there was an older blonde woman who did come up to me to tell me about the sales rack and the discounted workout gear. By that time, I had already looked around the store and the fact that the woman at the front couldn't even be bothered to say hi had already left a bad taste in my mouth and I had already made up my mind that I did not want to spend my money there. 3 out of 5 stars because they have a decent selection. However, the best bikini shops in San Diego are Gone Bananas in PB or The Bikini Shoppe in Mission Beach.
