I saw the reviews and thought this is a great place to go to my Mother's Day manicure. The luminary manicure is supposed to last longer so I thought this was a great option even though it's more expensive than a traditional manicure or gel. First off the luminary manicure has very limited colors, all beige, skin color and very light pink. I was concerned my natural nails would show but Zoe said they would t (they do from my perspective) but that was ok. In reading the info it said the luminary gel was a soak off option so it didn't damage your nails, not so. I am adverse to the drill file and that was used for the cuticle and top of the nail and when I get them redone that is how they "fill" the luminary gel just to let people know so they are not thinking there is no drilling. Both those thing were not the problem though. She asked if I wanted all my nails even up to my broken nail I said no they were even up to my broken nail, she basically said they will grow out by the time I need a fill. Irregardless that's not what I wanted. That's not the real problem either, it was frustrating but not the issue. As I was walking out, I noticed the underside of my nails were filthy. I have never paid $70 for a manicure and had the underside of my nails not be cleaned. I was picking the attached that was after I picked the dirt out from under my nails. there were areas of cut cut. There were several that were not straight or filed properly. You can see the attached pictures but there's areas next to my cuticle. They don't look good for manicure. It should've looked much better than it did. I could have had this caliber of service at my local nail studio in the strip mall. This was suppose to be a high end manicure and that was not the experience I had.

Best nail salon in all of San Diego. Zoe has created a perfect oasis for self care, sans any toxic chemical smells and busy, high volume nail salons. Her 2-woman shop is clean, adorable, bright and never has that chemical nail smell, which is something very important to me. I have been seeing Zoe for well over a year and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her art. My nails look flawless every time and I recommend her to all of my friends. If you're looking for a clean space, super warm-hearted nail artist and fabulous looking nails, 10/10 recommend!

Zoe is the absolute best. I always get the luminary manicure which is actually a dry Russian manicure with gel and perfect cuticles. Lasts at least 4 weeks. Pedicures are amazing and luxurious.

Zoe is very kind with great customer service! Has Low toxin nail products. Nails needed touching up and zoe put me on the books! Well worth the price

My nails have been in a bad shape because of all the gel nails and I haven't been able to find a good alternative till I came across the reviews for Pure Nailz. I made an appt for a Saturday morning and found parking across the street. This is such a cute nail salon. Zoe did my nails and I am on week 3 and my nails are looking great! I am in love ! Highly recommend this place to save your dying nails.

Zoe uses the luminary nail system. Its vegan and literally lasts over a month. They never chip or peel and have every color Imaginable. The place is so cute, clean and she can do fun nail art as well. Definitely recommend!Services: Pedicure

Zoe is amazing! Her technique and designs are awesome. Please ask Zoe about the Luminary nails (flexi gel) as helps your natural nails grow so much. It is better than just plain gel.

Zoe is the best!!! She is very personable, organic conscious, super cute clean place on Cedros! She uses the Luminary Gel system and has had my nails growing and looking great. I highly recommend getting your nails done by Zoe. You will not be sorry.

Zoe is the best. She is very personable and is one of the only manicurists I know of that uses the Luminary Gel system. I had an issue come up with my gel nails once, and she was so professional and handled the incident with attentiveness, thoroughness, and kindness. I'd recommend her to anyone.

I booked a gel manicure online but when I arrived I decided I should give my nails a break. The manicurist tried to convince me to do gel anyway but I eventually decided to be assertive and just do a regular manicure. She only does a dry manicure (no soaking in water to soften the cuticles), no lotion, no gel removal, no massage - $35? Chipped the same day. Not worth it.

This was my first time trying a smaller salon the offered a healthier manicures. My manicurist was Vanessa and she was amazing! From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed by everyone. Everything looked throughly clean and very hygienic. I do appreciate how their instruments/ files were 1 time use or clearly sanitized!! How a nail salon should operate. Vanessa was genuinely sweet and would answer any questions I had about their different services and how it compared to salons that weren't non- toxic. I got a regular Shellac mani a week ago and I expect it'll last at least another week well. Will be returning!
