“OMGGG we had the best experience today! We had been driving around to different pumpkin patches looking for a large pumpkin with no luck. On our way home we thought we'd give it one last shot and called Armstrongs. Steven answered the call and said they had large pumpkins at reasonable prices so we went! Keith was super helpful in finding a perfect pumpkin to take baby photos with for our 9 mo olds first Halloween/fall experience. And Jim was incredibly kind checking us out. They even carried it out to the car! Overall, they saved the day and this mom's sanity! Thank you!”

“Decent sized plant nursery with a variety of indoor and outdoor plants. I've stopped here a few times to expand my succulent collection. If you like string succulents there is a large selection. I've been searching for a string of turtles and workers found me a nice one. Prices are better than large brand stores. Be sure to check out the large friendly dog near the cashier and cozy parrot nearby.”

“Beautiful nursery. Unfortunately, there were no begonias to dig up this year. But there's a wide variety of gorgeous flowering plants, herbs, and cactus. There are goats and pigs that you can visit too. Very reasonable prices. Love this place.”
“Such a fabulous little nursery!! The owners’ son helped us out and chatted with us about them and their story, super friendly and knowledgeable! He even gave me some advice on a plant I’ve had bad luck with in the past. I also love that they do all of their propagations on site, including a really nice selection of special orchids. “This place is succulent heaven!! So many amazing succulents jam packed in a gorgeous little shop. We spent over $500 on some unique finds including a beautiful massive elephant's foot and a unique wish list pachypodium!! Loads of smaller, rare but super affordable plants. I could have easily left with twice as many plants but my dogs and child need space for the road trip home.”

“This guy is at the Thursday Oceanside Farmer's Market now! If you're wondering why his brick-and mortar store has poor hours, this is probably one of the reasons why. This business breathed new life into my opinion of farmers markets- in a world where buying local is now typically more expensive than going to chain grocery stores, the prices here are very modest. I am super happy! He had mini succulent gardens for 3$, hanging plants at 10$ each or 2 for 15. I found a bird nest fern for 15$, including taxes. There is a 50-cent credit card usage fee, and that's certainly reasonable. While I do look forward to shopping at his actual nurseries, I will happily make weekly pilgrimages to the Oceanside Farmer's Market to see what he has to sell.”

“Best prices in town for DG, road 2 base,And many other soils. The rules are you have to wear a hard hat and a bright vest. The soils yard is in the back of the complex and the pay trailer is on your way to the back half way through the grounds. The speed bumps are kinda high so drive slow. Lunch time is usually the best time to go to beat traffic.”
“We recently bought a faucet from Home Depot, but some hardware parts were missing from the package. Fortunately, two staff members, Crystal and Diego, were extremely helpful and patient. They took the time to understand the issue and helped us find a good solution quickly. Really appreciate their professionalism and excellent customer service!”

“Very satisfied with our experience at Moon Valley. We were looking for potted bamboo to add a barrier on our patio between our neighbor’s house and our fence line. Adam helped us select the bamboo plants and select our pots - they had a lot of options at reasonable prices. On the day of planting, George and his crew came as scheduled and took such immaculate care in planting all 5 pots, lining them up evenly along our fence line and cleaning the area once complete. George also thoroughly explained how to care for our plants. We are very happy with the outcome and highly recommend Moon Valley.”
“Kellen was super friendly while I was checking out. The guy in the paint section was also really helpful about picking out the type of spray paint I needed. Sometimes I get weird looks because I’m alternative but when I told them I needed paint for graffiti they were still really cool about it. Love this Home Depot”

“I was able to rent a snake to undo a shower drainage block. The Home Depot Rental Center on Genesee had a variety of plumber's snakes, which was somewhat fascinating to observe and look at. The staff was very friendly and courteous. This is a great community resource, a bit like the tool rental library when I lived in Berkeley (but funded by individuals rather than the public).”
