Ron is a highly experienced, courtly gentleman who has helped me with so many creative ideas about how to turn my family's heirloom jewelry into stunning modern pieces. He never asks for payment upfront and creates many of his own pieces, which are stunning and so unusual, combining decorative elements from the Western and Eastern worlds. He is someone that has become a trusted family jeweler; I wouldn't hesitate to leave valuable pieces of jewelry with him.

The pieces in the store were stunning! The stones in his pieces is very high quality. The pieces are very high quality for amazing prices. The value of the pieces we bought was excellent. He was so fun to talk with! We told many fun stories back and forth. We will definitely be buying here again.

I have known Ron for about 24 years. I first met him at his jewelry store in Downtown. He has been very nice and taking good care of customers. Even though I dud not purchase expensive jewelry from him, he still had a good service and a kind to me.

I have known Ron for about 24 years. I first met him at his jewelry store in Downtown. He has been very nice and taking good care of customers. Even though I dud not purchase expensive jewelry from him, he still had a good service and a kind to me. My husband bought the engagement ring from Ron in 2004. Then, I recently contacted and met Ron to adjust my engagement ring, which the diamond was very slightly wiggling. He immediately kept my ring and fixed it a day. He took care of old customer even I had not seen him for 15 years. I am really appreciative of his professionalism and his kindness. Thank you Ron!

I wandered into Ron's store when he was downtown, only because the sign said "watch batteries" and I was in need of some. But what I found was a wonderful owner and designer of unique pieces. He 'dressed up' an antique ring I'd gotten from my mother, with rubies and emeralds, something I would never think to do. We've remained friends and I always look forward to stopping in when I'm in Del Mar and he still remembers me from all those years ago. If I'm looking for a special piece of jewelry, this is where I would go for sure !

I was visiting in Del Mar from Minnesota this week, and at an event when a prong gave way on my wedding ring and the emerald-cut solitaire fell out, I was reluctant to try a jeweler I didn't know but worried about carrying my ring and stone around all week until I returned home. Ron assessed the problem, described what he would do to fix it, how much it would cost and noted it probably needed to be sized up, as well. He also offered to stay late if needed for me to pick up the ring once finished, to accommodate the hours I was working the event. He finished it two days before the estimated time, rebuilding the setting and making it look like new. I could not possibly be more pleased with his fine work. Great service and craftsmanship!

If i could give zero stars I would...this guy is a piece of crap...My fiance and I bought a couple of Movados and needed a few links taken out. I politely called his store and asked him how much he would charge to take them out..Most people do it for free but we were willing to pay. He said we are a FINE jeweler and don't do that and then hung up in my face! TOTAL DOUCHEBAG! When I called him right back to give him a piece of my mind he let the answering machine pick it up because he didn't have the balls to answer for his COWARDICE...This guy does not deserve any business at all...

A girlfriend of mine and I went in to browse the jewelry and I politely asked for a small favor... for the gentleman to size my finger. He rudely remarked that unless I was buying something, he would charge me $20 to do the sizing. Ridiculous. It literally takes 2 seconds and I could do it myself. Both she and I are actually shopping around for engagement rings, but I can tell you that after his rude attitude and poor service, we will certainly not consider going back to Marquis. We also both work in Sales at L'Auberge, an establishment known for referring business to local retailers. Sometimes a little kindness goes a long way, and you just never know who you're being rude to.
