Stayed for work 8/5-8/9. Someone ate and drank in the bar under my name and room number. They signed my name. I never set foot in that bar. I called; they removed the charge. Next month, 9/4 the charge appeared on my card again. I called and asked why it re-appeared. Staff was rude saying "It was you. We have your signature" I explained again that it was not me, and that was not my signature. I was told the manager would contact me to resolve the issue. They never did. I called corporate and opened a case file. Called back to check on the case. they had closed it saying that the general manager contacted me. I NEVER spoke with anyone. They reopened the case. Supposedly the GM is actually going to call me this time. I'm not holding my breath. I hope that this $31 was worth losing Northrop Grumman business travel. Future travelers will be warned to stay away from this property.

A bit confusing but a gorgeous property.

With the bar in the middle all room surrounded can hear people talking. My family and I could sleep until almost midnight. Terrible experience.

Access to a cliff (going to the beach is more a hike than a 15min walk).
Paper thin walls… impossible to sleeep especially if you room is somewhat near the dining/patio area
Rooms: Paper thin wall

Absolutely loved this place. It grows on you and we kept coming back because it felt like home. The people are so fabulous, the walk down the hill to the bluffs overlooking the Pacific were unbelievable. We liked being in the main building best as we got to meet and hang out with lots of interesting people. Can't wait to go back.

It’s not a bad place by any means, but it’s not a 5-star resort. My room had some nice peek-a-boo views. I stayed here for a staycation while my rental was being worked on. The food was just "okay," and the room could have been cleaner, though it was manageable for my two-night stay.

I stayed here for 7 nights for business in the area. I checked in and got a lovely welcome, they gave me a lovely room and told me everything I needed to know. Throughout the week I encountered many members of staff, all were very helpful and it was nice to see them happy in their job. A special shout out to Barbara who I spoke to a few occasions and who checked me out, thanks for making my stay excellent. I recommend this hotel and I’d cert stay again when I’m next in the area. Oh the swimming pool and hot tub were a bonus, enjoyed most evenings!

We stayed at the hotel to be near the fairgrounds for a summer concert. The staff was attentive to our needs from check-in and when we experienced issues. The online marketing room photos for the Standard Room, 1 King Bed, Ocean View and what we received were different in a disappointing way. The bed was comfortable and sheets clean. The in room refrigerator was cold. The pull chain on the blinds broke and the windows were difficult to open and close. The shower leaked onto the floor and the glass shelf in the bathroom was dirty with three dried toothpaste puddles. The WiFi was slow and often dropped our connection. For 2 nights at $864 we thought the value was needing improvement especially when the next door hotel is $100+ less per night. We would not recommend for the money spent.

I like this hotel but the prices are well above what they should be based on the age and upkeep of the rooms. Rooms are clean. Just dated and super humid due to old conditioner units. The handle to one of our balconies fell off and I had to put it together so we didn’t get trapped out there. I am sure they would have fixed it but it was easy. Only real issue is the price vs value.

Location location location. This hotel is in a great location beautiful views great atmosphere. Great staff.
Rooms: Good rooms. Some rooms are better than others. It’s the little things like gaps on the flooring broken window handles loose stones on bathroom floor.
Nearby activities: Beach beach beach
Walkability: It’s near downtown and the beach. Blocks away. Great for adventures
Food & drinks: Food is ok. It bothers me that for the price I would like to see more fresh drinks and not Costco items.

We stayed just one night before our flight home and were pleasantly surprised by home nice it was. The room was cute, comfortable and felt inviting. Only marking down a star because there were a few places on the bathroom walls where something had been splashed or spilled and it hadn’t been cleaned up. I would stay here again for sure!

Great people. Wonderful coastal vibe. And the view of the ocean is awesome. I get to watch the sun set and listen to the ocean waves.

Best spot in Del Mar! Close to beach access. Walking distance to village and DT DM. Staff is best!

Del Mar, Ocean View & close to everything Del Mar. Staff are excellent and although close to tourist areas off the main road it feels secluded and private.
Rooms: Vaulted ceilings, balcony, Ocean View and appreciate the laminate & tile floor with ample work station.
Nearby activities: Del Mar, Torry Pines, La Jolla, Solana Beach. So much to see, explore, shop, hike, cuisine from takeout to fine dining. What one can't walk or bike to is a close drive away.
Safety: Feels very safe.
Walkability: So many walking paths and nearby places.
Food & drinks: On site or a short distance too many choices to list.
