I had a fantastic experience here. Morgan was very kind to do a color consultation with me and talk me through what would achieve the result I wanted. Rachael Elizabeth did my highlights, color, and cut, and it was exactly what I wanted and asked for. She was really friendly, and I loved the casual vibe of the salon. Prices are on the higher side of what I'm used to, but absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend Luci's!

Owner Lucy very personable and flexible as I had to cancel and hopefully reschedule in future. I saw a woman in Davis whose hair looked so nice, it prompted me to inquire where she'd gotten service and she said at Lucy's on D street in Davis, Ca Great job ladies

Had my curl haircut with the owner and will never go back. The owner was rude when I first arrived and forgot that she had an appointment with me. She spent less than 10 min cutting my hair. My hair was completely cut wrong with some pieces as long as 3 inch pieces. Charged me 70!And yes I do exist, You talked non stop about your son being a model. I don’t know about the other girls, but it seems you (Luci) has consistently received bad reviews, especially from curly headed folks!

Im sorry, Im really unsatisfied with my cut. I have curly hair and got a cut yesterday from Mandy. I had really long hair and I told her I wanted 4 inches cut off and even showed her photos of how I wanted it to look like. She ended up cutting more than 4 inches maybe about like 8 inches was cut off. I was able to put it into a ponytail and now I can’t even do that anymore.

Cut my hair with Sarah. Very much satisfied with how it turned out and she was great to talk with and listened to what I want too. She also did a touch up a week later for no extra charge where we fixed it a little more to my liking. She’s very open to your feedback and makes sure you like the cut and it is how you want it. Really recommend cutting your hair with Sarah!

Morgan is amazing, funny, and just great ! She worked so well with my natural curly hair. I wanted to add front shaping layers (which I've never had) and she managed to make me absolutely love it! Her blowouts are so slick, so cute! Overall I'm so happy I found a great place in Davis!

I got a wonderful haircut this morning from Sarah who did absolutely lovely work. It was only $55 for decently lengthy hair. We were chatting the whole time and she made sure to explain every aspect of what she was doing while regularly asking for my opinion. Extremely satisfied with the cut and service. I know she won't look at this review since she said she's always scared to look haha, but I am sad that I am moving because I would've loved to go back to her.Services: Hairstyling

I love Morgan, she's the best. We spent a whole day at the salon together last year when she bleached my very dark thick hair, and she was working so hard the whole 13 hours. I loved the color she did on me and it lasted for MONTHS; she does not skimp on quality products. Then she did my pixie cut just last month and I'm coming in again for a trim. Highly recommend. She's very focused and professional but also hilarious. Her dog is such a sweet baby too.

Morgan has been styling my hair for the 4 years I've gone to UCDavis and I could not be happier with the results each time! She's very good at doing short/cropped cuts on girls and keeps up with the trendy styles from Korea, Japan, etc and could do just what I wanted. When I got my hair cut back at home during the lockdown, my cut got so terribly botched that I ended up crying for a long time. When I got back to Davis, I raced to schedule an appointment and Morgan got me looking fresh again, thank goodness. The service is quick and always entertaining, sometimes you'll find yourself chatting with the whole shop! There's a lot of Asian students in the area so they know how to work with different textured hair, as well as previously colored/treated hair. If you're looking for somewhere that can give you a trendy cut in the Davis area, I highly recommend Luci's! They also do styling for party nights, events, Halloween costumes, etc that turn out super cool. I will say that 40-50$ for a cut is on the pricy side, but I had to pay over 100$ back at home for any assurance that I'd get the same quality of service. It's worth it! The shop is small and homely and follows Covid regulations; the front door is always propped open for ventilation. I think masks are now optional, but it's not a problem to wear it the whole time. Now that I've graduated and won't be returning to Davis, I'll really miss going to Luci's :( Thank you guys! (Also, Morgan, I finally heard back from JET and I got accepted!)

I scheduled an appointment with Sherri to fix a haircut from another salon that made me feel like I had an uneven blunt bowl cut. Sherri worked her magic and gave me exactly the cut I was looking for the first time, and even kept as much length as possible! She gave me tons of super helpful tips for care and styling of my new cut. Sherri is a fantastic stylist who really listens to what you want and caters the cut to your specific needs. I hate to have a hair style that requires a ton of effort to look polished (or even close to what it looks like leaving a salon) and my new haircut only requires a quick blow dry to look great. I would highly recommend Sherri!
