This place is a hidden gem! Me and friend stumbled across this place while walking in downtown Davis and we were immediately drawn to go inside. There are so many anime things and cool keychains and toys. I want to buy everything honestly. It was very tempting to buy a lot of things haha. I liked how there was a variety of things, like gifts, stationary, snacks, plushes, etc. It's a very fun place to be in. The staff was super friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. I will say a lot of the things are a bit pricy but these are things you can't find anywhere else nearby. Can't wait to go back!

Very cute little shop. They have lots of pop!, Pokémon’s, hello kitty, snacks , ramen, mochi, pen , pencil, sketchbook and lots of anime pops!

Update: the more I come the more I want to buy everything!! I love looking through the blind boxes, the stationary, and the stickers. And yes I own 3 or 4 of their stuffed animals. I also like stopping by for popsicles or ice cream.

The store is not too bad, but I would prefer the Japan Kobe Amine over in Elk Grove. It has way more anime figures and etc.

I really hate to do this and leave a bad review, but here is my experience with this shop, ordering through the "Shop" app. I ordered two packs of a frozen Yamachan ramen that I really like and it says on the package that it's a perishable frozen item, and when I received both packages, they had been warm for a couple of days and had nothing to keep them cold. I reached out to the manufacturer to see if they would still be safe to eat, but after talking with them, it sounded like it'd be best if I threw them away, which I did. I reported the issue to this shop through the Shop app and through email separately, and my emails have been ignored and I have not received any replies whatsoever and at this point, it's 10 days after delivery. I'm pretty disappointed, and I dislike having to leave bad reviews, but this is my honest experience with ordering from this shop. I am hoping that I get a refund for my order, and I hope they take this as constructive criticism on how to improve going forward.

I was walking by today and I saw it for the first time. The owner was very nice I love the store and I bought a few items for my boyfriend. I will be coming back.

Cute little mini mart for a college town. Their food/snack section was a tad over priced but I understand there is not a lot of competition in the area.For gifts, I would rate the place 4 stars. For food, maybe 2 stars. Which is why I settled on 3 stars.

Price of goods is much higher than the price of goods in other Asian groceries like the Kim Mart. Buyers be aware that this store strictly maintains no return, no exchange policy - even when you want to exchange anything unopened within a few hours of buying and even you have the receipt! And even if your reason for your wanting to return the food is that there are some ingredients in the food (written in fine print or in Japanese) that you cannot take due to allergy or any ethical practice that you follow. The other store, which is almost next door to this store, keeps much more and varieties of the items than this store and better return policy.

This is a terrific shop! It has an assortment of snacks and cooking supplies upstairs, in addition to stuffed animals and a seating area in the lower level.2023. Just came back to update that this is still one of my favorite shops in Davis- such a special place. Really fun place to discover new snacks and goods. The owner is really great and works hard to stock the store with interesting items.

I came across this place while casually strolling around downtown Davis with a friend. I am so glad we ran into this spot.This is a cute little Japanese mart that sells all sorts of stuff -- anime merch (keychains, stickers, posters), plushies, stationery, snacks, bathroom items, manga, EVERYTHING. One cool part about this place is that there are stairs leading to a basement floor which has a study area for people to hang around. It feels so homely and cozy.I bought a Popin' Cookin' kit as well as a cute little Corocoro Life plush that is now hanging on my car's rear view mirror as my lil' driving buddy!
