I usually file my taxes with someone at my hometown but decided to give H&R Block a try. I will never be returning. Hyunjung Song was extremely condescending and rude when I asked simple questions. Their online fee was only $89 but I was charged $180. They did not maximize my returns and instead I was rushed when attempting to find all my expenses. She also refused to give me a clean copy without text all over it. I ended up paying a lot of money as a result. I will be getting my taxes redone with my usual tax person.

The service at H and R Block is excellent. The staff is ver friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I have been going to Arfa for many years now and she gets everything processed quickly . I have only good things to say about Arfa and H and R Block.

My first time using H&R and was taken aback by the attitude of the receptionist on Friday, 3/3/23 at 1:00 p.m. A few days prior, I changed my appointment for a different preparer because their profile seemed more fitting for my situation. When I arrived, however, this receptionist got defensive, and with a negative tone, said, "That's not what I see on my screen." She then saw that the original preparer had gone into the system and changed the appointment. Instead of apologizing to me or even listening to me, she just ignored me and directed her discovery to the preparer with whom I had changed my appointment, as if I wasn't even there. Fortunately it worked out such that the preferred preparer could meet with me, but my overall experience was kind of soured by the attitude of the receptionist. I really wonder how this person even got hired as a receptionist because with that attitude, you should not be working with the public. I know it's just a corporate chain like McDonald's, but her demeanor is damaging to the otherwise positive atmosphere cultivated by the tax preparers there, who seemed quite friendly. Additionally, I overheard her refer to a client (who was not present) in a negative light when a preparer asked her to reschedule an appointment for them. She responded by indicating that the client probably won't show up anyway because she is always rescheduling. The preparer corrected her by explaining that the client could not make it for a valid reason. That whole conversation should not have taken place, yet it was elicited by her unprofessional behavior. Sad.

Here at the davis store and can't say enough how nice and professional they are here.
Definitely getting my taxes done here again next year.
May I suggest asking for Rebecca. She's was so helpful with all our questions.
Update: Here it is 2023 and I've still been going here all these years and still have been getting the great service all these years. I still highly recommend asking for Rebecca Quintana. She's awesome, friendly and very helpful.
