I would give this place 0 stars. This place is a complete disaster. Scammers, unprofessional, liars! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Not sure how a place this shady can still be in business. Beware!!!. Phil is supposably a manager. And is very rude and unprofessional. I get told there's a new manager each time, and we purchased a car from them. Don't believe anything from anyone at this dealership. I recommend taking your business elsewhere. Make sure you look very carefully around the vehicle if you make a mistake by purchasing a car from them. Once you leave the lot, and notice when you get home there is a small crack in the windshield. They won't do anything about it. They just want to make their quick sale on you, they don't care what the car's condition is like (hidden cover ups). Even if you're elderly. They treat customers like complete garbage. BEWARE

They are very Untrusworthy with the work they perform!!!!! I wouldn't trust them. They charge for services that they never did. They charge for tire rotation and don't rotate them. MAKE SURE YOU MARK YOUR TIRES WHEN PLAN GET A TIRE ROTATION!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom took her 2016 Honda Civic for service. She had B17 service code, which is an oil change and tire rotation. She had previously had an issue where they did not rotate her tires but charged her for one. So this time she made marks on both her rear tires to see if the tires were rotated properly. When she checked in for her appointment, she let know about her previous experience and asked if they can make sure they perform the work they are charging her for. When the car came out only one the marked tires was in the front the other one was still in the rear. Very untrustworthy!!!! Be careful with tire rotations. You might want to mark them as my mother did. She will no longer bring her business here.

I bought a car from these guys 8 years ago. It was a horrible experience. They did every single trick to get more money out of me. I already wrote a 1 star review with all the details, but it disappeared somehow. Anyways, I sold the car a few years ago, I moved out of CA to East Coast, and I already unsubscribed from their emails, but they still bother me. Here is your 1 star review again for being shady, for lying, for being greedy, for being not honest, for spamming and more....

I've put off buying a new car for so long because I've been terrified of dealerships but this was the smoothest experience ever! Complete opposite of what I was imagining. Mandeep was very patient with us as we explored and inspected 3 different models of 2024 Pilots and test drive each - twice! (both my husband and I wanted to drive the cars) The financial portion was very smooth as well. Angie was amazing and very efficient. Honestly I'd say that the part of the whole experience that took the longest was my husband and I looking at and test driving the cars. I will definitely send any friend or family member looking for a Honda to this dealership! Thank you so much Shottenkirk Honda of Davis for helping me get into my very first brand new car!!

My first one star review ever. I feel bad about giving it but trying to protect the customer. I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere! First issue is the salesman was not honest with me about a couple things when he sold me the car. Second is the service department is surprisingly terrible! The Honda dealership I went to before I moved here was amazing and honestly didn't seem to hard to replicate. I find it hard to believe, and unfortunate, that Honda doesn't require a minimum level of integrity and service at their dealerships.

I bought my Honda Accord 2024 in December. I got the exact model that I was looking for. I would like to thank salesman Mandeep together with the manager Sigi, Daniel in parts and Walker in service for being so friendly. The staff are very professional and helpful. I enjoyed doing business with them because they have an excellent customer service. I will definitely come back here again and definitely recommend this dealership to our friends and family...Nathan

I just purchased a beautiful Honda from Shottenkirk and what made my experience so wonderful was the assistance of Adrian Andradez! From the get go, Adrian was super approachable, knowledgeable and kind. I was with my daughter and had never purchased a car on my own. Adrian walked me through each step from beginning to end without making me feel any pressure. He made the process so easy and actually, dare I say, enjoyable! Even the finance manager Doug was great! I highly recommend Shottenkirk and their amazing staff to purchase your next vehicle!

Service center review: I got my 19 Civic in for an oil change and tire rotation (over $100 now, which is high tbh compared to indy shops). My battery was acting up also before I brought my car in so I asked them to check my battery. I replaced my battery here (it's actually a better deal than Walmart). The issue is when I came back home and opened the hood of the car, I noticed that the bracket that secured the battery in place was completely missing. So I had to go back and thankfully the service advisor, Kevin was accommodating. He walked to the service garage and was able to locate my bracket. Thankfully it was a slow day for them, so they were able to get this issue resolved quickly. However, what bothers me is that the Technicians here do a sloppy job. There is no quality control. It took me about 1.5 hours for the initial visit, then another 30-45 minutes extra because of the Techs sloppiness. Time is money guys, that's the whole reason for bringing my car here to Honda service center otherwise I can do most of these things myself and save money.

I had the strangest experience at Shottenkirk Honda in Davis, CA when I went in November 14, 2023, to test drive a new Honda Hybrid CR-V. I went in with a friend, about 11am, and the front doors were locked, but we found a side door open and went in. There was no receptionist, and we looked for someone to talk to us, and finally a sales rep came out of his cubicle and asked us what we needed. I told him I wanted to test drive a Hybrid CR-V and he went out in the lot to look for one, coming back to tell us they didn't have one, but I could test drive a regular CR-V. They have a very small lot for new cars, so I understand they can't have everything, but I thought it was unusual they didn't have the hybrid. I agreed to test drive the regular CR-V. The sales rep was very good at explaining the parts of the car, and told me where to drive. We ended up at a place called Devi Plaza, where he had me park and said he had to run in for two minutes. Fifteen minutes later, he still wasn't out, and I honked and went to the door to try and find him, and he came out. I seriously considered returning to the dealership without him and leaving the car there. When we got back, he wanted to show me some cars they could get for me, but I was no longer interested and said we had to leave because we were late for another appointment. There was another guy in the sales room eating his lunch with his feet up on his desk, and a second employee talking to a person who was very upset about a used car they bought which turned out not to have a current smog check. In California, a smog check is required when a vehicle changes ownership, so I thought this was odd. I didn't realize University Honda in Davis had changed hands and is now owned by someone in Florida, which may explain the lack of professionalism in the dealership as a whole. The experience put me off Hondas, but I may try another dealership just so I can drive the Hybrid CR-V.

I bought a new 2024 Honda Civic sport today from this dealer and it was an unbelievably smooth transaction, much better than I expected, all because Al was our salesperson. He was competent, answered all of my questions, and was a charming conversationalist. While my daughter and I waited for our paperwork to be processed, he talked about gourmet cheeses and coffee, and how to prepare roast lamb. He was funny and made our day stress-free. We got a good deal on a car too.
