Had excellent – actually beyond excellent – service from AAA Davis Auto Repair Center in Davis, California for my 1999 Honda Civic. The car’s engine was stalling when stopped at stop signs or lights, so was towed to the center for repair. We received a cost estimate and time frame for them to diagnose the problem. They provided photographs of the problem area in the car, which was helpful in understanding what was to be done. The work was completed, and the service people drove the car a good distance to make sure it didn’t stall again. They returned the car for us to drive over the weekend to check whether it might stall again. It didn’t. Since we were somewhat negligent in having normal service work done, we asked that the center provide a list of what needed to be done. That list work priorities was provided. We had the center do that work, which was excellent as well.

This repair center provides excellent services. They did a thorough inspections for my car. To avoid me waiting in the garage, they ordered a Lyft to send me home and pick me up when the service was done. The transporation service was free of charge.

Quoted $1000 for rear shock replacement on my car. I agreed. Went to drop car off and was told the total would be $2000. This was $700 more than the Acura dealership! I asked about the cost jump and guy says the quote he gave me was just for parts! I can buy the parts at Acura for $700!! Since when is an auto repair quote for parts only. Seems like a classic bait and switch. Dishonest. I will not return. Beware.

Very overpriced. Charged $400+ to change a car battery. Seem to target old people, students, and women.

Got an oil change and inspection. They were very professional. They found other issues, gave me the quotes, but didn't pressure me into thinking I needed it urgently. So I chose not to.
Finished my car in an hour and some change. You need to make an appt tho, they are heavily booked

My thanks and gratitude to Damien, Tom, Aaron and Gerardo for fixing my vehicle quickly and getting us back on our way. We blew a hose on the I-5 heading North back to Canada and had to be towed in. Thanks to all for the excellent communication and great service. We couldn't have been in better or more professional hands in a trying time. If I was a local, this would be my go to service garage.

I wanted an oil, filter, lube job on my 2001 Subaru Outback plus the parking brake adjusted. I brought my car in at 9am, the time I had scheduled. I was given a ride back to my home. I made the mistake of not asking when the car would be done. When I called at 2pm I was told it would be ready at 5pm. I made sure they would come and pick me up at my home. A little after 5pm I called. Only one guy was there and he couldn't leave so he sent a Lyft driver who was very nice. So, after 8 hours and being forgotten I finally drove my car home. I'm concerned they'll want to keep my car the whole day whenever I bring it in. ARGHH!
