Postscript: I went back to my records and looked at prior grooming done by my former expert groomer in Woodland and see that I was having her nails trimmed roughly every 8 weeks. So this notion that she needs a trim every 2 to 3 weeks is hogwash. If you trim my particular dog's nails properly and short enough they do not need to be done that frequently. This, I suspect, was all about them making more money. Barely trim them and then the customer will have to come back sooner.

Do not trust this business with your pet. We took our dog here once and picked him up to find him dripping blood from a nail cut too short. Owner was rude and refused to acknowledge that our poor dog had been bleeding due to the nail trim, let alone apologize. Since this incident (years ago at this point), he has had a nail infection that has been very difficult to treat.Do not take your pet here!

I have a nonprofit rescue. Picked up a dog that was severely matted. She was horrible. Stopped by Feldspar on my way home to see if i could get her in. They took one look at her and asked one of the groomers if she could take on one more. She said yes and I left this poor girl there. Absolutely no hesitation on their part. This dog medically needed the mats removed asap. Two hours later I received a call and I picked up a different dog. Thank you. Thank you. Wonderful and caring people.

Ann & her team at Feldspar are nothing short of amazing!! Special mention to Emily & Brenda for earning Luna’s trust.Luna is an anxiety to the max, special case Mini Aussie / Chihuahua mix who is very people selective. Oh my goodness they’re amazing!!I drive an hour each way just to have my dog groomed here. They treat him so well and are so kind. I have a Black Russian Terrier (Leo) that has a very specific cut, but in California it needs to be modified and they do an amazing job every time. They know the breed and their temperament. I’m thankful to have found them and would recommend them to anyone.

Ann and her team have been grooming my Springer Spaniel every four weeks for almost a year. My dog is a young rescue and has gestational cataracts, which at times can impair his sight. He is a very timid and a soft dog so we have been working hard over the last year to build his confidence. Ann and her team have been nothing short of FABULOUS with Duke and they have gone above and beyond working with him. I am extremely grateful to Ann and Tami for everything they have done for us. I have even seen Tami kiss my dog on the head. I love the openness of their shop and EVERYONE there has been amazing. I do not trust my dog with anyone and I have no problem leaving Duke there. When my dog saw Emily out in public, he went nuts! He was so excited to see her!Ladies - THANK YOU for everything you do for my sweet Duke. I appreciate you!I highly recommend Felspar to anyone looking for a wonderful and caring groomer.

Ann, and every employee at this pet spa is the absolute best! I drive a 6+ hours round trip just to have this establishment groom my dog every month! It is definitely worth every penny! They treat my dog very very well as well! I only get the greatest compliments when people see how well groomed our dog is. I can only thank Ann and her team at Feldspar Spa for everything they do.

Been coming to Ann for a few years now. My female dog was a rescue and was very apprehensive about going to the groomer.Ann was understanding and professional with her and myself. Giving me tips on how to work with her at home so she would be more comfortable at the groomer.My dog has never looked so good. I love that she knows how to groom an English springer spaniel the correct way to show off her best attributes.

I have been going to *** for a few years, she is great. I had a reactive dog who was a rescue and wasnt great at the groomer at first. *** helped me work with her to get over her fear. *** really knows her craft and is amazing with English springer spaniels.

I have been taking my poodles to Feldspar since 2017. Ann (owner) is one of the top poodle groomers and show groomers in the entire country and often judges grooming competitions. She regularly holds seminars to teach other groomers on proper coat maintenance, healthy diets, coat care, etc. You could not ask for a better professional to groom your dog or teach you how to care for your dog! I’m in Ann’s shop several times a month and have never witnessed any ill treatment of animals, quite the reverse actually. Ann is very vocal to her clients about keeping up with the care of the dogs she grooms, if she notices a concern she will absolutely tell a person how to do better. Most rational people take Ann’s advice and are grateful for her help, care, and expertise, but every once in a while there’s someone who doesn’t appreciate being called out on the conditional of their animals and they take offense. Just know that if you bring a crazy, scared, sick, filthy, matted, flea infested, ear infected animal in to this shop not only will Ann do her best to fix it, she’ll tell the owners how to do so as well. I LOVE Feldspar and so do my poodles!

We have been taking our dog to Feldspar every 6 weeks for almost 6 years. He is always excited to spend time at "the spa" and jumps out of the car as soon as we arrive in the parking lot. Ann and her crew do a beautiful job grooming our Lucas. In addition, they've spotted ear infections and "hot spots" that we sometimes missed over the years, and gave me good diet advice to keep him at a healthy weight.
