We made an appointment with the Davis Chase branch to make a few account adjustments. What a pleasure to work with Christopher H., he was very knowledgeable and was able to complete multiple tasks for us.
THAT WAS EASY!

I was shocked to read the negative reviews on here, especially singling out Ben. We've been banking at this branch for both personal and business purposes for over 10 years now and have had nothing but stellar service. Especially from Ben, who we call "Superman". I know they battled a lot of issues during the Covid era. Staffing shortage, shorter hours, periodic branch closings... In their defense, a lot of the issues mentioned seemed to be out of their control and an extension of the staffing and hours cutbacks at the corporate level. In any case, it was distressing to hear about so many people being frustrated. We temper our expectations, do our research, clearly state our goals, follow up, and have never been disappointed.

We have been very happy with services at Chase in Davis - Checking, Financial Advising and Private Banking - with the exception of the loan officer who was a no-show on both appointments she made with us. This was disappointing

Don’t even bother! I asked to be put on my mom’s account and receive a card for it starting the 8th of June. What I thought was a simple banking task turned out to be an impossibility. It’s now the 22nd of July and I haven’t received anything! I followed up multiple times in person, and over the phone. They couldn’t “verify” my passport…. Was told if I didn’t receive the card in time that they would call me and I could set up Apple Pay. This never happened. I was told that the verification team was missing pieces of information of forms that were having to be redone multiple times. No one ever followed up….. ever! I always had to call them. I rang yesterday and was promised a call back that again never happened. I strongly recommend to use another bank as it appears it’s big bank policy to never follow up. This seems like such a common service that any bank should be able to provide. I’m outraged and will be recommending everyone I know to change banks!

This poor rating is due to the genius who decided to put the ATMs behind a locked door. I love Chase Bank, but this location needs reworked.

Sadly I forget the two women who helped me earlier on Tuesday around 4:15. I was in a big jam because for security reasons I believe a check I desperately needed to deposit and access did not clear even though the check was valid. Customer service over the phone earlier that morning was horrible, super rude, and obviously didn't care and just passed the work onto whoever else they could. Different story with these two woman the the bank, super respectful, super helpful, the one women "seemed like a supervisor" worked until closong for me called me back and had fixed the issue, straight up saved my butt. Thank you Chase bank in Davis CA. ?

I opened an account and after six month I closed it. Both times I went there I didn't spend more than 1 hour. Every time I entered someone arrived and asked what was my purpose and gave me information. Good experience!

I went into Chase to open a second checking account and explained to the representative, Timothy, that it was to be used exclusively for Disneyland. I informed him that I wanted it to be as special as possible since I would be taking my wife there for the first time. He was very personable as he recommended a Disney-specific debit card and told me how it could be used to get discounts at Disneyland. The process was very easy. I also commend him for maintaining his composure after a woman walked into the bank and made a scene near us. He apologized for the noise, even though it certainly wasn't his fault.A few weeks later, I got a call from Timothy, and he was just checking in to make sure all went well with receiving my debit card and getting my new checking account established. I thought that was a very nice touch.I'm thankful for the great customer service that I experienced at this location!

Chase bank is a nightmare. Our business had Chase business credit cards. My husband was the primary card holder. Our business is in a family estate and I am the executor. When my husband passed away, Chase canceled our business credit cards due to an error on their behalf. The told me that the cards would be reinstated. But Chase lied. They lied over and over again. I lost businesd an many hours fixing their mistake. I would never do business with Chase. No one at Chase has any control to do anything to help. They call it the "back office. " But reallybit is offices outside the United States thst cannot help with any issue. Disgraceful!!

Due to Ben's dishonesty and refusal to admit Chase's error (HIS BRANCH), my savings account was wiped out. Unforgivable. Terrible human being. Oh my gosh! I just read Maggie's review on Google and I can relate! First of all, I am so very sorry for the passing of her family member. Where this location screwed me over was also involving a situation of the passing of a loved one. I went in on 12/3/2021 to have my father (who passed away on 10/29/2021) removed from my savings account. I supplied the death certificate and everything. The employee even had a supervisor assisting him. I was promised all was taken care of. Fast forward to last month, a hold was put on my savings account for money my father owed FTB. Because of the unethical and deceitful nature of Ben, I was told there was no record of me coming in. Complete bs! He knows a mistake was made but instead of doing the right thing, he did what so many immoral and greedy people do, he lied and screwed me out of everything in the account. Disgusting. Thank God the Chase where I live has an upstanding and nice guy as a manager! Chase needs to fire Ben ASAP!! He's a liability that the company should let go of.

My oldest sister passed away in August 2021. In December I went in to close her account. I was told it was closed. I went in in January and oh, there was a mistake with the spelling of her name on their part. Now it is closed. Went in in February. Oh it’s not closed, as they intently looked at their computer screen and told me nothing else. Took my number—we will call you. Now it is closed. Went in in March with my aunt. Oh, it’s under review. We will call you, I was told 3 times. Never received a call. ALL I AM TRYING TO DO IS RECOVER FUNDS TO REIMBURSE MY 93 YEAR OLD MOTHER’S EXPENSE WITH PAYING FOR HER DAUGHTER’S CREMATION. Seriously, I think it’s less than $1,000 in her account. Called the 1-800 number and was put through to the deceased department. Oh, you need to fill out these two legal forms. Why would I spend $$ with a lawyer to recover funds that are probably the same price for a lawyer?? You can have my sister’s money Chase…yep, I guess you need it more than my mother. I already cancelled my Amazon Chase credit card—as will my aunt. Please train your tellers and supervisors as to the proper steps in closing an account of a deceased relative with no will or power of attorney. I hope you buy your employees lunch with my sister’s money, or training for proper handling of situations like this.
