There were some things I loved about Chaparral and some things I really did not. The apartment itself was great and had a really nice layout. The short term lease was good. I enjoyed living there and it never felt crowded even though there were 5 other people living there. Arianna in the front office is very friendly and helpful, I always appreciated her support. The pool and hot tub are also great and work most of the time. However, I was really frustrated to have to deal with mice issues. I'd read other reviews about tenants here having these issues but thought it wouldn't be a problem for us. It took about 2 months to completely stop getting mice (and we only lived there for 4.5 months). Also, there were multiple times when the laundry machines were shut down (at least one of those times it was over a week). I am disabled and I couldn't travel to a laundromat, so this was awful for me. Additionally, my roommates and I had issues with the front office hours--even though it says they're open from 9:30-5:30, they had a closed sign sometimes saying there was nobody in. This happened often enough that it was really inconvenient when we needed to talk about the mice issues or other apt. needs. Overall, if you need the short term or individual lease option, this is fine. I like the location and the bus stop out front too. Just keep these issues in mind.

Worst place I could've ever lived in. The day I moved in there were mice droppings all over the kitchen and counter from the previous tenants, nothing was deep cleaned. They made us live in the mice infested apartment and did NOTHING to accommodate us.

Been living here for 2 yrs and it’s been the best housing I’ve been to so far. Besides the roaches and small kitchens, I wouldn’t think to fix a thing.

Gorgeous and comfy is what comes to mind when touring the apartment complex @ Chaparral. To be fair their interior designer did a REALLY AMAZING job furnishing their model unit. I was most impressed with the different pastel colors that really complemented the vibes that the duplex offers. I definitely recommend this apartment as it's been a significant upgrade compared to the 4 other places I've been situated at during my undergraduate studies. Very affordable pricing too!

I would start off by saying that Maggie Tobin made it possible for me to navigate the decision to live at Chaparral Apartments. She was the best !!!! always available to answer questions and concerns, always pleasant, always courteous. She is a creative problem solver and supportive through out my stay at Chaparral apartments. I also witnessed Tiffany and Maggie being generously kind when the laundry room had a water issue. Thank you for all the prompt repairs too, I never experienced immediately repaired so fast, like refrigerator replaced, Jose was excellent with all the concerns and always pleasant and courteous.. And Lindsey is terrific, high positive energy which made my move out feel better despite the stress to clearing out stuff. I was in an unusual situation because I didn't known anyone in town and I felt the management had my back. So I can't thank you enough. Sincerely, Lynda Silva

I've been here for two years and Chaparral has never let me down. Love the management and people here. I also love the activities and events that Chaparral hold once in a while. The 24-hour amenities (pool/hot tub/study room/laundry) are super convenient. I'm definitely going to miss the spacious hot tub.

Chaparral has the sweetest staff and maintenance team, and I highly recommend the apartment complex. I leased my apartment with them beginning in 2020 and am so happy I picked them. They respond to emails and maintenance requests very quickly and are very accommodating with residents, always doing their best to make sure their residents are happy. They also have fun giveaways and competitions that they do through their Instagram that are very fun. Happy to say I live at Chaparral!!

Incredible place to live!!!!! Everything from the Pool, Friendly staff, Landscaping to the Giveaways, Spacious apartments, free WiFi and the Amazing maintenance team. I've been happily living there for 3 years now and it keeps getting better every year.

I've been at this apartment complex for 4 years and the management has been very helpful. All maintenance requests are usually answered within a day or two and there are usually giveaways or events for every holiday. I highly recommend this place.

Chaparral has been my home away from home for almost 3 years now. What I love most about Chaparral is the management staff. They are super friendly and flexible with requests and maintenance. Whenever we have a maintenance request, Jose is always prompt with the services. I also really appreciate the free printing, especially during the pandemic because the staff would always make sure they get my documents to me ASAP. The only reason I am giving it a 4 stars is the roommate situation, where we were not inform of new housemates who will be moving in the last two years, so it was a little awkward. However, since we informed the apartment about our sentiments, they quickly responded to our issue and now it's resolved. Besides that, the rooms are a little tight for doubles, but the amenities do make up for it.

Just a tip. This was on our short list of apartment possibilities for our daughter transferring to UC Davis. They rent by the bed and Tandem properties seems like a good choice as far as taking care of any issues that may arise.

Apartment management and maintenance are the best! They are all friendly and responsive to emails/maintenance requests. I still remember how easy move-in day was because they were really accommodating when I needed to move-in a little earlier a couple years ago. A special thanks to Tiffany and Jose! The rent may be going up, but it is worth it for the excellent staff here.The only downside I have is that parking can be tight, especially when you have a large or long car due to the oddly spaced concrete spacers. However, I think the the amenities, neat events, great staff, and comfortable apartments more than make up for the parking situation. If you are looking for a good place to live, I highly recommend this place.

I lived in Chaparral for one year, 2018-2019. I absolutely loved living there. Though management has now changed, Hannah, the property manager for most of the time I lived in Chaparral, was understanding, kind, and helpful. The apartment was in a great location and I loved the study and laundry rooms as well. I had a great time living here and if it weren't for the fact that they had no one bedroom apartments for next year, I'd have definitely lived here again!

Excellent responsive and friendly management, well maintained apartment and amenities. Don't feel like I'm getting price gouged, which is rare in Davis. Safeway is like a 5-10 minute walk away. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Sad that I have to move from here!
