1945 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill“Small, community post office. We've always had great service. Lines can get long around the holidays, like most post office stations, but the team tries their best. We know the work can often be thankless, so kindly ask what you need, but be thoughtful and caring with your local USPS employee.”

1922 Tice Valley Blvd, Walnut Creek“Never thought I’d write a positive review for a post office, but I left feeling incredibly impressed at the service I received here. I came in with a large box that was probably 50% full. Seeing how high the shipping cost was, he helped me find a smaller box and hacked it so my items fit perfectly into the box, saving me $50. I can’t believe he took the time to help me, going above and beyond when he did not have to. Thank you Freddy!”
“Again, these guys rock! They are almost all very personable & without question will go the extra mile. I always leave happy that I've found such a nice post office to deal with!”
“As a Dublin/Pleasanton resident, I've used this post office a handful of times and I'm mostly satisfied with the service. Employees are quite efficient and quick at their jobs from what I've experienced. Lily is always great and provides great customer service, always polite and helpful. There's one woman (name I haven't retained) who sometimes works alongside her that could use a course on how to kindly speak to customers, she always seems to have a /demanding/rude tone about her when answering basic questions. Why take your stresses out on polite and paying customers? I choose to go with whoever ELSE is there because just speaking to her gives me anxiety.”
“I've been to this office 2 times and always have stellar service from the staff. April has exceeded my expectations in both of my visits and has been patient with answering any additional questions I've had. In my visits, I only had a small piece of mail to send out, nothing too complicated, so didn't think much of what experience I'd get when being helped. I was thoroughly impressed and was greeted with the utmost hospitality. April is good at her job and making sure it is done right. She welcomed me to visit the office again and I'd gladly take the offer when I'm in the area with a mail errand.”
“This is a really nice USPS store located in a nice, serene area in the Clayton Downtown area and next to a nice park, so the area was very green and surrounded by trees and plants. I went there on a weekend morning and pleasantly found that finding street parking to be super easy, and in fact there was a lot of parking available right in front of the store. I was able to conduct my business there and get in and out of the store pretty quickly. Definitely I would go to this USPS store again if I happen to be in the area.”

3641 Mount Diablo Blvd, Lafayette“I’ve come to this post office regularly in the past 8 months. The staff is friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in determining the best solution to my mail and shipping questions. This is my “go to” place.”
“This is a great post office! It's unfortunate that their reviews don't reflect it.The staff is always incredibly helpful. And they have a lot of patience in dealing with helping people with their packaging. I've never seen a look of contempt from any of them. In fact the opposite. 5 Huge ? ? ? ? ?”
“Amazing amazing passport service. Ali helped us with our children’s passports. Checked every single thing very clearly and even helped correct mistakes. We got the passports in less than 2 weeks! I am so impressed with the level of care!”
“I always find the people in the Walnut Creek Post Office to be friendly, hardworking and helpful. Parking is easy and free. There can be lines but it’s not the fault of the employees.”
“Never had a problem in this location. Especially happy with the service after bad experience in San Leandro Manor PO. I spent less than a minute to confirm my new address.”

3426 Mount Diablo Blvd, Lafayette“I am so grateful to the USPS Annex location. I called them yesterday to let them know I was expecting baby chics to arrive and I was worried about them arriving in the cool weather. They called me at 7:30 a.m. this morning, before they even opened, to let me know my chicks arrived. When I went to pick them up, I notice they had put a blanket over the box to help keep the chicks warm. Thank you so much for the extra care! I am so impressed with the service and going above and beyond my expectations.”

20283 Santa Maria Ave, Castro Valley“This USPS location has the nicest and friendliest postmen and postwomen. They let you borrow their pen and markers, and are patient enough to share your most affordable options. I come here all the way from union city!”
“They don't answer the phone because they don't have one here unfortunately, they have really long lines, and the only good thing about this office is they are helpful and are nearby where I live so I can send packages”
“My recent visit to the US Postal Service for a change of address was a mixed experience. The process itself was fairly simple and efficient, which was a relief. However, my observation with the Customer Service left me with conflicting feelings.
On the one hand, the representatives were undeniably friendly and welcomed each customer but on the other hand, I couldn't shake off a disconcerting incident I witnessed. While waiting in line, I overheard a customer, whose native language wasn't English, seeking assistance regarding fragile items. The customer selected yes, when they should’ve selected no on the keyboard. Unfortunately, they were advised by the representative to bring their own interpreter if they couldn't communicate effectively in English. This struck me as somewhat insensitive and disappointing.
While I understand the practical challenges faced by the establishment, it's crucial for them to offer language services to accommodate diverse customers. Expecting individuals to bring their own interpreters seems impractical and burdensome. The availability of toll-free numbers for language assistance should be actively promoted and utilized to ensure equal access to services and although this would require additional steps, it’s something all establishments should do.
Overall, the US Postal Service seems to strive for kindness, friendliness, and professionalism, but there's room for improvement in addressing language barriers and ensuring inclusivity.
On a positive note: I really enjoyed their large selection of greeting cards and the person who helped me was supper kind in explaining the process of changing my home addresses ?”
“The USPS in San Ramon, California, demonstrates admirable efficiency in mail pickup services. Their promptness reflects a commitment to duty. Additionally, the opportunity for employment at this location presents a chance for individuals to contribute to the community. Moreover, ample parking facilitates ease of access for patrons, fostering convenience and accessibility.”
“I made an appointment for passport services for my 2-year-old daughter. We arrived on time and were immediately greeted by Dean. As we all know, the passport process can be confusing the first time around. Luckily, Dean was very knowledgeable about the process and helped us step by step with the application. Additionally, my daughter was afraid to take pictures and cried the whole time. Dean patiently waited and allowed my wife and I to calm our daughter down and get her to stand still. As a result, the picture came out great. Customer service is the most important aspect of a business, and Dean's customer service showcased his experience and job knowledge in customer service. The pride he took in his work demonstrated his commitment to his customers and inspire us to treat other with patience and respect. The only improvement I can think of is to have a designated area for passport picture. Like a chair with white background.”
