I love Lunardi's sandwiches and especially the Turkey Avocado on sour dough roll. They usually make the sandwiches to your specifications. Their sandwiches also taste better with a bowl of soup. Lunardi's offers many cold cut sandwiches and so far I had roast beef, pastrami, turkey and tuna. They all were excellent. The prices are very reasonable. Compared to other places. My sandwich without the cheese is about $12.99 Compared to $16 to $19 elsewhere. The soup is priced separate. Try it, you will go back; I guarantee it.

The fish and meat are the top in the area. The service in the meat/fish dept. is 5 stars and has been the best for decades. The bakery dept. is o.k if you can get somebody to notice you at the counter. The wine dept. is lacking as the lady is too busy on her phone to help customers with questions. Years ago there was a very helpful and knowledgeable person in the wine dept. I think wine sales would increase if there was better customer service in the wine dept.

I have to recommend the meat market and the manager Robert at the meat market in Lunardi in Danville. I had the most amazing Christmas dinner. Robert created a spectacular crown rib roast and my whole family just were so impressed how beautiful it was and how great it tasted and it was all because Robert did this for me. This is why I shop at Lunardi's because of people like Tobert who go the extra mile with service and creativity!! Tha No you !!

I want to highly recommend Robert the manager from the meat department in Lunardi‘s Danville. He was phenomenal and creating the most delicious meal a crown rib roast that he did himself. I have pictures I will send, but he should be highly recommended for his beyond the call of duty effort to create beautiful Dinner for me and my family.

Poor customer service and no concern for allergies. I went to purchase a muffin for my toddler. It looked like a simple bran muffin with cranberries. $3.99. I asked the woman behind the bakery counter if it had nuts, she told me it did not. She said only the banana nut muffin has nuts. I bought the muffin and continued to push my son around in the shopping cart. I fed my son a few bites of muffin and took a bite myself and noticed a small bite of walnut. I returned to the counter to ask for an ingredient list. They didn't have one. They showed minimal concern for the fact that my son who is allergic to nuts just ate a muffin with nuts. The apparent bakery manager attempted to call the place where they get the muffins, but no answer. I took the muffin home as they did not care enough to make sure I left happy with a non allergenic muffin. I cut the muffin open and it's filled with nuts. So disappointing that they could be so CARELESS to not even list MAJOR ALLERGENS. I understand simple mistakes. Had they showed a little more concern or tried to make things right I would not be home fuming over a nut muffin writing this review. Unfortunately, careless and poorly trained employees hurt businesses.

WOW. 100% APPALLED at the lack of professionalism in the deli department. Deli Manager, Tara. Planning a memorial for the son I lost to Afghanistan (my only child). Visited Lunardis in Danville to inquire about some catering trays. The deli was busy and I asked an employee if I needed to take a number. I was told no but she would ask if the manager could help me. Tara FINALLY approached me and with a curt "Do you know what you want", I replied I had questions about some catering trays. She BARKED at me, I would have to wait my turn, then walked away in a huff. We watched as she treated other customers quite friendly. When she called out who was next, I raised my hand. She turned her back on me! My husband then said "we're next" she then YELLED at him "YEA, I heard you're next"! I asked one of my questions and she barked again! I asked if she was the manager and a "YEP" followed. I remarked how unbelievable I found that to be. I thanked her for the info and went outside and called the store manager, Matt. He seemed concerned, made some excuses for Tara's behavior and apologized on her behalf. This is service in Danville? I wouldn't hire her for a midnight stocking position in the ghetto. So much for honoring our fallen. Shameful. Absolutely shameful

Lunardi's Markets is a true gem in the world of grocery shopping. With its extensive selection of fresh produce, gourmet ingredients, and specialty items, it's a food lover's paradise. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist and provide recommendations. The bakery and deli sections are top-notch, offering delectable treats and prepared foods. While prices can be a bit higher, the quality and variety more than justify it.

Great meat and seafood dept. Deli counter is also very good. The pre-made sushi is much better than other markets in the area
