My family has worked with Kitchens of Diablo on several remodels. Most recently, I had a full kitchen remodel that Pamela helped design and the construction team brought to life. I am thoroughly stunned at how beautiful it turned out thanks to the hard work and dedication of the entire crew! Pamela is a superb designer who has a wonderfully trained designer eye and based on your style, she knows how to come up with fantastic options! She also is great at providing ideas if you’re not sure what exactly you want and she is there for you throughout the whole process! The quality and professionalism is top notch and without their expertise, I would not have the designer picture perfect kitchen I now have and love. We just finished a major kitchen remodel and had a great experience with Kitchens of Diablo and Shawn Lober Construction. They were very professional and did a fantastic design. We hardly want to leave our kitchen now! We have had many compliments on how much our living spaces are more open, modern, and light. The staff in both companies were top of the line in knowledge and professionalism. There were always workers there everyday, and the house was never dusty or disrupted. They went out of their way to make it a good experience for us. I highly recommend the two companies working together on your project as a design/build.

We had a great experience and outcome working with Pam from KOD. She presented four kitchen designs and we ultimately meshed two of them into a beautiful kitchen with an island, my number one and only wish list item. She also put in a lot of details with the drawings and dimensions for the contractor since we were moving all the major workstations to new areas of the kitchen. I also appreciated her time in helping me choose the right fixtures/colors. Guests always compliment our new kitchen and have called it magazine worthy.

Kitchens of Diablo remodeled our kitchen a few years back and so when it came time to remodel the rest of the house, we knew exactly who to call. KOD does outstanding work. Each person on the team is a true artist and expert in their field. From our first meeting with Jackie, the designer, through demo, to installation, and our final walk through, KOD made the project stress free and professional. They worked within our guidelines and expertly guided us through every step of the process. Each installation date from start to finish was completed on time.The site was immaculate throughout. This was a six month job that included most of the house.There was not one day we felt inconvenienced. KOD did everything we asked and more. No detail was left unattended. This is a very professional company with employees who know what they are doing, care about their work, and will become a part of your family.

Stepped in a few weeks ago to take a look around, as we may be looking at a kitchen remodel in the next few months. Not one person looked up or even greeted me. I took a quick, awkward look around then left. I understand people are busy and perhaps it's by appointment only, but I didn't appreciate being completely ignored by at least three employees. I'll take my business elsewhere.

I've been meaning to write this review for a while as we had Kitchens of Diablo redo our kitchen, dining, family room and master bath. They were done as two different projects over time and the fact that we went back to them for the master bath tells how pleased we were about the kitchen et al. Shelly was a great partner in these projects and everything was done with the greatest eye and attention to detail. Shockingly, everything was always done on time, and the final result was exactly what we wanted. Super friendly, honest, easy to work with, and above all, they do great work. Highly recommend.

Spoke with Shelly on two separate occasions regarding our project. She pointed out that she was very busy and would not be able to design anything for at least 12 weeks but would be able to have her assistant work with us (who was newly out of school) and it would be a viable alternative if I was decided on the design. Booked an appointment with the assistant (who was very personable), for the same week. I called back before the appointment to clarify a question after speaking with my contractor. Shelly called me and cancelled the appointment and told me that I was going to be a "difficult" customer and that her assistant was already booked and they would not take the project on. Just horrible behavior and I was left speechless. Things worked out for the best, found an absolutely amazing custom kitchen cabinet maker locally and had the most stellar experience. Beware of a very temperamental owner...

For at least 2 years we have been searching for the right design firm and construction company to do the remodel for our TINY 1960 kitchen. Prior to landing with Kitchens of Diablo (KD), we paid a couple companies to provide us a kitchen design. We were not sold on those designs and met Pamela Pon at Kitchens of Diablo. Pamela was simply awesome in every way. She provided us 3 designs (all on CAD) and narrowed down what we liked about each design until we came up with a final design. At that point we got bids for for the construction from 3 companies, including Shawn Lober Construction, which is affiliated KD. We chose Shawn Lober for the construction. We are completely happy with BOTH decisions. Pamela guided us through every step of the remodel process - she accompanied us to choose tile, and helped us with all the other aspects of the design process. Shawn Lober and his in-house construction crew were AMAZING. His construction pricing process was completely transparent and understandable and, his crew were outstanding craftsmen. You could tell his crew was very loyal to Shawn and the company, respectful of the customer and always making sure that the customer was happy with the work done. Every day the construction site was cleaned, and we had zero complaints from our neighbors. I am ONE HAPPY CUSTOMER. We have referred more folks who have been considering a remodel to KD and Pamela. I have received such nice feedback from these referrals too on KD and Pamela.

I ordered cabinets and hardware through Kitchens of Diablo for my laundry room and bathroom. Shelley and her team were awesome in helping me in deciding which cabinets and hardware to go with to best suit my needs. They were quick, thorough and professional. I am very impressed with the quality of the items I ordered and will be recommending them to family and friends.

I'm surprised at some of these poor reviews. Shelley and the girls at Kitchens of Diablo have always been very friendly, courteous, and helpful to my wife and I. We had a great experience with them through the entire process of our remodel.
