Ryan in the wine dept helped me get a very special wine for a family event. When he learned the wine wouldnt make it from the other store in time, he went there personally to pick it up… its rare to have someone go above and beyond like this. Amazing customer service!!

favorite place ever. everything is SO organized, staff is friendly and i just love the way it is set up. they always have a really good selection of international food, thank god #ukbeans and i love the options. i took a star off because last time i went they were out of og goldfish AND it is in danville. meh. anyways overall i love it here, kinda expensive but it is gorg and has amazing produce and treats

Their food is always top-of-the-line and fresh! I find their prices overall the same as Safeway and Safeway has terrible customer service. Once you get used to the layout of the store, it is very easy to shop, and in particular, the deli, bakery and fresh food sections are amazing! Highly recommend as the best place to shop for groceries and Danville, Blackhawk or Diablo

The absolute yummiest berry and almond cheesecake in the Bay Area. This location is in the gorgeous Blackhawk Plaza. The groceries are fancy here so I don’t go here regularly unless I’m looking for something special. They also sell duck food to feed the local ducks.

This place is damn impressive, and priced accordingly for the good people of the Danville area who have too much money. Our first stop inside was the prepared food area, where we picked up some turkey chili for Blondie, and a veggie quesadilla for me, very tasty indeed. But wow, for a half pint container, the chili was over $10. Right next to this was the vinegar and olive oil selection, with a more impressive selection than a place I recently visited in Napa that specializes in that. Then came the kitchenware section. You could do a wedding registry here. Beautiful serving pieces, china, gadgets, hand towels, everything really. Barware, including a $425 Italian cocktail shaker, fashioned from God knows what. Let's skip to the booze area. I always do. Multi-thousand dollar bottles of Rothschild Lafite, or $25 bottles of chianti, they have it all. I found two bottles of Octomore Scotch, which I've had to special order in the past. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The rest of the store seemed more standard, just pricier than average. I wouldn't go here for normal groceries, but I'll probably be back for holiday shopping for my foodie friends.

Draegers Market BlackHawk is now my go to store. They have great produce, great meat, great specialty items, and everyone is pleasant and helpful. I think their prices are fine, especially if you sign up for emails. I used to shop at Safeway, but no more- This Draegers store is beautiful and also has an amazing kitchen store/ gift department.

This market is huge, it has a large produce department, a large meat apartment, a large selection of expensive wines, and just about everything from a to z.As soon as you walk in, they ask you if you need help, and I like that.

I had to try this grocery store because I heard the bakery and deli are amazing and oh boy oh boy oh boy, it is amazing!!! I'm in town for a week and looked on Yelp trying to find a place where I can get some GOOD food. I decided to go here and it was a great experience. The store is very comfortable, feels like something you'd see in a smaller country area because of the feel of the place and how it's decorated. As you walk in you'll see duck food for sale. I believe that is what I saw. It reminded me of a place that would be located at a lake or something. I visited the deli and got myself a serving of Burgundy Beef and some mashed potatoes to go with it. This is very good food. The beef was tender and it had a lot of mushrooms in a wonderful gravy that went with the mashed potatoes perfectly. The potatoes are smooth and creamy. Really good. For dessert I couldn't decide so I took advantage of the single serving desserts they have there. Are you ready for this? I got crème brûlée, chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and cheesecake. Each of those things were so good. I want more cake. I wish I would've got 2 of these. In fact I'm probably going to go back tomorrow. The service was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. I had a lot of questions since I hadn't been there before. All my questions were answered with a smile. Im definitely going to be going back to this store while I'm here visiting for the week. By the way they close pretty early. Earlier then I'm used to anyways. So you may want to visit the store earlier in the day.
