3 Railroad Ave, Danville“This Barnes & Noble Bookstore was great!!I came here during the Holidays, so it was good and crowded.Plenty of books and gifts for readers here as well as games and puzzles. A very clean and organized store, and the line moved pretty quickly, even though it was long.I did like how they had multiple tables set up with books with different genres. It definitely made me stop and look.Located right on the corner in Downtown Walnut Creek, a prime location!!”

3645 Mount Diablo Blvd Suite C, Lafayette“A really fantastic local bookstore offering a selection of new and used books. It's not huge, but the range is impressive and eclectic. The owner is thoughtful and friendly. An excellent Lafayette resource.”

2161 Ygnacio Valley Rd Ste 107, Walnut Creek“Outstanding fine & rare bookseller. Books are meticulously and accurately described and Laurelle Swan's inventory is notable for the fine condition of her books. Books are, for the most part, fairly priced in the middle of the typical range from comparable booksellers. Customer service is exceptional - Laurelle will remember your requests, diligently hunt for difficult to find private press books and promptly notify you if she can successfully acquire a copy. Swan's Fine Books is a valuable resource for serious collectors.”
“I could spend hours and $1k’s. Love this store! The cafe also has some yummy savory & sweet treats. I was disappointed by the planner selection, but I’m extremely picky about my planners. Not thier fault ??”
“super cool shop, good selection of records packed in a small place. Reminds me of Rainbow Records in WC when I was a kid. I'd buy a skateboard from them but would end up with a hip fracture at my age.”
“Books on clearance got them for as low as $1.49 to $8 very impressed love this friendly quiet place to browse with delight take your time & experience it for yourself!”

955 Contra Costa Blvd, Pleasant Hill“They have an eclectic collection of books, movies and music DVDs. Apparently, these are donations that didn't make it to the library shelves. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. I actually like this place better than the Pleasant Hill library which has tried to become too many things. If you are a nerdy bibliophile that likes older reading material, try this bookstore.”
11AM - 5PM
12 Rogers Ct, Pleasant Hill“I came here for the squish-mellows and slime for Christmas presents but found these cool trays for eating/crafts. Upon check-out the clerk (her name was Paige), asked me if I wanted to customize the trays. Whaaatt? Yes please!I appreciate Paige suggesting this as I had no idea this was offered. Not only do the trays lookawesome, but how wonderful that Paige offered to do this, even though it was 5-minutes to closing. To the owner of the store, Paige and the other person working stayed an additional 15-'minutes, and did it with a smile on their faces. Im coming back this week to customize more items for the children in my family. This is going to make Christmas gifts easy and special. Very good pricing for slime $15.99 and many squish-mellows half off.”
“I absolutely love this place. I'm confused by the reviews saying the prices are high, and this is by far the cheapest used bookstore around. The selection may not be as extensive as some of the bigger stores, but I always manage to find something interesting when I'm there. The staff is incredibly sweet as well.”
“This magical local book store hosted a meet and greet with Andy Griffiths last night. I decided to bring my boys to the event and I'm so glad that I did. They were thoroughly entertained and left inspired to read more. We left the bookstore and by the time we got into the car, they were asking me to bring them to the next children's event.”
