A great experience coming here. The teachers are very kind and caring and are always hosting an interesting and engaging curriculum for the kids. It's a play-based learning school and I feel like my daughter has grown and learned a lot here.

We switched here from a regular daycare provider to VNS and have been very happy. We were nervous about doing work days and the co-op structure but it’s been really nice. The community has been a nice addition to our family lives and I’d highly recommend, even for the busiest families. The teachers are very friendly and professional. The other families are kind and supportive and the facility and daily/weekly/monthly curriculum is of high quality in my opinion. My daughter loves it and acclimated quickly. For those kids who have a hard time with separation the families and staff are very supportive and compassionate.

Village Nursery has been such a supportive and inspiring early education experience for both my child and us as parents! We started right when my little one was 25 months, and it was a very rough adjustment . Another family saw his understandably tough transition, and recommended a book to read to him about going to school. We had other parents check-in with us and send us photos so we knew how he was doing on the days they worked. I cannot emphasize how supported we felt from the teachers and other families, and realized it's all the in the name...it really "takes a Village."I love the fact that the parents (we see involvement from both dads and moms) are all there to support each other during this wild ride of parenting, but also that I get to be a part of their child's growth and development and get to know my little one's friends. It's a co-op, so that means it is run by families...with monthly meetings, monthly job tasks, maintenance hours, and fundraising goals. It's a lot, but it's all to build that community and create a space for our kids to grow and thrive. The amazing teachers create a curriculum that sparks social-emotional growth and curiosity of learning that will continue throughout our child's education. We've only been here a year, but feel the magic of the Village community and know we will be enrolling our 10month old when they turn 2.Oh, and another plus? Your child doesn't have to be potty trained at the time of enrollment...the teachers were very helpful and supportive during our potty training journey and now our little one is fully potty trained!

Our son has grown so much from attending Village Nursery School. His speech, fine motor skills, social-emotional skills, and learning skills have increased. Their play-based program lets him explore, be curious, and be himself. He calls the preschool Teacher's house because it looks like a house and he thinks the teachers live there. ? The Teachers really create an environment and space for him to thrive in. We feel so fortunate to be apart of such a warm, inviting, and supportive community. If you're looking for a cooperative preschool for your child, please consider touring Village Nursery School!

This preschool is wonderful! As a co-op I got to be a part of my child's first education experience. The community is wonderful, welcoming, and kind. The space itself is so unique and we especially love the big yard area with swings!

I hadn't heard of co-op preschools until last year and we're so glad we found Village. It ended up being a great fit for our family and our son has truly blossomed in the past year. He was a very shy 2 year old who took a long time to warm up, even to relatives. But at Village, we found a nurturing environment lovingly curated by dedicated teachers and parents. At first we noticed how the older kids would naturally check on and look after our son whenever he cried or felt sad. Then our fellow co-op parents would come up to us and glow about our son's growth and milestones. We were hooked! The co-op work shifts really fostered a community where we all looked after each other's kids. Now at 3, our son's vocabulary has exploded, his emotional growth has made him a very caring older brother, and he surprises us all the time: Saying hi to neighbors unprompted, laughing and dancing at a graduation party in a room of people he just met, and giving hugs to all his relatives. We're very happy to be part of the Village family!

My 3 year old started attending this co-op since he was 2.5 years old. His language and social skills have developed, and that is due to the environment and space, the caring teachers, the workday parents, and the kids. I love that he loves going to school! The families that I've met are incredible and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know the diverse, talented, dedicated, and fun parents and teachers.

I absolutely love this co-op/preschool! A lot of my daughter's core memories are of the school! And now my son's. My kids love their teachers and their friends. I appreciate the help and participation of all the families. I'm grateful to be a part such a supportive and hardworking community.

We had a wonderful experience sending both our kids (8 and 5) to Village. We loved having the opportunity to be active participants in our children's early education experience. As an added bonus we were able to connect with the other families and really know the little village that is helping raise our children. Teacher Ari and Teacher May are the absolute best! Thank you a million times over for loving our kids as your own and preparing them for kindergarten.

I am so glad that we found this school! The price is great in comparison to other places and my kid absolutely loves the teacher and other kids. All families are encouraged to participate in the school. It is so wonderful being able to be a part of this community of parents.

Awesome, play-based co-op nursery school with so many exploration opportunities as well as extended care hours that make it possible for working parents to participate and have the daycare hours that they need. Lots of outdoor space and time plus a surprisingly large and productive kid-grown garden in Daly City!

I sent my two kids to Village. TBH like a lot of people cost was a big factor. I was initially hesitant about the co-op style, but it was a very good experience. You get to be involved with your child's development and you're able to build relationships with other parents. It's in the name, it really does take a village and having a community that chips in to make the community and school better is the biggest factor after being at the school for 5 years. Big plus is they help with potty training and can start at 2 years old. There is more outdoor area than there is indoor area, which is great for your energetic kiddos. The school is well equipped for various types of outdoor play. Water tables, balls, swings, climbing structures and slides. Indoors is great as well, as there are many stations for the kids to choose from, reading, sensory, dramatic play, and parent lead projects. The program is play based but there is a pre-k program(numbers and letters) for when your kid turns 4 to get ready for TK or kindergarten.

Village Nursery School is so much more than a day care or preschool. As a co-op, it is a place where children, parents, and family members thrive as a community with the collaboration and support of its amazing staff, Ari & May, and the parent board. My son recently graduated from the Pre-K program and began attending Village as soon as he turned 2 years old in 2019. He has a close relationship with his caring & nurturing teachers and with the friends that he has made at Village. He is definitely ready for TK in the fall, both socio-emotionally and academically, and his father and I have Village to thank for this.

Both my boys currently attend Village and thoroughly enjoy the play-based format with so many daily opportunities to explore and create. There is a huge outdoor space with multiple climbing/play structures, different types of swings, and various outdoor equipment for balancing and building activities as well as dramatic play areas. I love that both kids can be together throughout the day and are not placed in separate classes by age (kids are 2-5 years old). There's an awesome garden space where the kids grow and eat all kinds of vegetables and edible flowers in Daly City!
