I called and made an appointment and asked for a partial highlight and haircut. I walked in and the lady seemed irritated that I came in. She sat me down and said partial highlight. I said yes. She walked away and started to mix the color. I was a bit shocked she didn't even ask what color I wanted. I walked over to her mixing the color and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She said OK she came back over and asked if I wanted my haircut. I said I would like about 3-4 inches taken off. She said OK and started putting the foils in my hair after she was finished, she set a timer for about 55 minutes. Usually when people put highlights in my hair, I sit there for about 25 to 30 minutes only. So I question her and asked why I would have to sit for so long that my hair processes pretty quickly she got mad and said she knows what she's doing. I said OK after the 55 minutes was done she took the foils out, rinsed out my hair and then put toner on it. After she rinse that out, she went back and brought me to the chair where she began blow drying my hair out, followed by a haircut. Which she started chopping off about 8-9 inches, without even asking me what I wanted. I said that's way too short. I don't want it that short. She laughed at me and said, " this is better for me, Doesn't have to be better for you and she said hair grows back anyway." I proceeded again to tell her stop cutting it so short and she just laughed and she said it looks fine. I walked out of there and my hair looks like garbage. I don't even know how she got her haircutting license. And now I just spent $900 in hair extensions because my hair looks terrible!! I cannot wait a year for this to grow out, I'm shocked at the service here, and I asked for a manager to call me back. I want my money back and I will never go to the salon again. Beware of the people that work here!
Stylist: Stylist is rude and doesn’t know how to interact with people nor listen to what they want. She does what she wants and ruined my hair

TL:DR Haircut is perfectly good and reasonable priced, perm is a complete rip-off I submitted a reservation request on Yelp, noting that I had long hair. When they asked for more details, I mentioned wanting a perm, and they said that it would be $100+. That was fine, as most perms I had in the past were around $200-$250. We agreed on the date/time of the appt and they took my cell phone number. The day of the appt, I came in at 10am. Apparently no one had actually put down my appt so they weren't expecting me. I waited about 10-15 min, which was ok. What wasn't ok was that the perm took SEVEN (7) HOURS. I am not exaggerating, I was there from 10:00am to 5:00pm. They said my hair was too thick/numerous so it took longer, and because I had done perms before they needed to be extra careful with it. Honestly, I wouldn't mind waiting 7 hours if I paid a reasonable price for it. But I guess because it took so long they charged me $360, not even including tip. And my hair just looked ok, nothing better than what I've done at other places. But $360 is just WAY too much for a mediocre perm at a single $ place. Go somewhere else where you can get the same thing for far cheaper.

Came in for just a haircut and Alex did a really good job! He pays full attention to details and takes his time. I also liked how he styled and curled my hair in the end! Will definitely come back to him next time.

Got an all over one color done by Alex. I showed him photos of ideas I want for my hair. He recommend what would work best with my current hair since it was partially grown out natural hair and with a previous balayage. I was very happy how it turned out. Would come back again for hair coloring with Alex!

I'm quite surprised on how my hair turned out. I love how Alex knows what's the best for my hair. I have a really long and frizzy hair that I always end up putting on a bun on my lazy days. He helped me decide on the proper treatment and hair color.

A friend who liked her her trim was charged $35 yesterday. When I called following the recommendation of 2 happy clients, Manny told me that he would charge me $45 for the same trim of a short hair. Quite a jump of $10.00 increase in a day!!!!

Thank you Alex for the lovely layered haircut and dark chocolate brown with cool bronze balayage. I had a snapshot of the hair color and showed it to Alex. I called to book an appointment the Friday night before for a Saturday morning's appointment. I didn't have to wait when I got there 15 mins early. I got a hair cut (long to medium length), balayage and hair treatment. Finally, a quick curling. My new hair color is vibrant (like sun-kissed) and glossy. Took 3 hours in total. The shop is clean and in a residential neighborhood so you can find parking nearby. Laura offers water bottle and small snacks. You would love your experience as much s I did here.

Called in today looking for an emergency appointment and Alex at J's Beauty Salon saved my life!! My hair was disgustingly box dyed the morning before and I was horrified. They were super helpful in providing options and guiding me through how my hair could be fixed up. We decided on a cut and bleach with new color and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. I love it so much and don't have to stress anymore about fixing my hair before summer. They have a great atmosphere and environment in the salon. Lots of customers coming in and out for quick cuts. Nice vibe , clean area , Quality of hair mask was nice for about 2/3 days after . I dyed my hair brunette and alex chose a very nice shade that suits me well .
