Had Don do an inspection on a used car we were considering buying. He found missing clips under the engine that might have cost a few dollars. But he missed a multi-thousand dollar a/c problem and he missed other things as well. Don's a really nice guy, but his inspection was a painful botch for us.

Came for an oil change, and they noticed I also had a rear brake light out. They took care of both for $96, and in less than 30 minutes! Love a knowledgeable, skillful, economical locally owned auto shop. I will definitely be back.

Great mechanic shop. I had an issue with my EGR valve, turns out my throttle body was clogged almost entirely in addition to my EGR valve issues. They took the initiative to clean it out and my truck is running even better than these last couple years. Great shop.

Been going here for 5 years for oil changes on my Mazda. Very fair priced and always an excellent job, my Mazda has never had an issue thanks to the care they give my car. Super nice service. This is the only shop I trust with my car.

I wish there were more places like Hill Top these days... they are knowledgable, price things fairly and clearly, give estimates up front, don't try to up-sell you ANYTHING you don't really need, and do the work well and on time. That's far too uncommon these days, but Hill Top is one of those rare auto service centers that does this and more.I bring my Acura NSX here from Saratoga... about 45 minutes away, because I really only want Don at Hill Top to work on it. He's known as an NSX expert, but more importantly, he's just an honest, talented mechanic for any vehicle (especially Hondas and Acuras).Don and wife Diana are a great team that deserves your business and will earn your trust and admiration.

My mom and I have been taking our CRV's to Don for years. The car she passed on to me is almost 15 years old and over 200k miles, it's still running strong. I believe partly due to the upkeep and service we get from this shop. Between the two of us we've probably had.. oil changes, brake replacements, spark plug change, starter repair, suspension work, general tune-up etc. Don always recommends things that he thinks the car absolutely needs not just to tally up a large total on a bill (also his prices are fair). He's an honest mechanic with a ton of experience on Hondas and Acuras (I think ex dealership mechanic?). You can tell purely by the quantity of NSX's which probably have a cult following, in the lot. It's a family business, Don and Diane want you in and out with a functional vehicle. Maybe that rubs people the wrong way but I would always recommend them.

I returned to Hilltop auto after a good experience I had with them previously on brakes. I had an oil leak and visited a more formal Honda dealer mechanic; they told me the entire oil pump needed to be replaced for $1250+. Don used a tracer and found it was a worn gasket and took care of it for $260. Would highly recommend checking this shop out for a second opinion on any work if you live nearby.

Diane and Don run a great shop. They were both warm and transparent about what work I needed on my 2005 Acura TL ( valve job, spark plug replacement, and a broken intake tube). Car runs amazing now, thank you.

Hello, to anyone who may be having car issues. I'd like to confidently and passionately say to GO HERE! The history and owners of this auto service are truly remarkble, and they are kind people who will most definitely communicate and treat your car with the uptmost respect. I've been facing prolonged car issues for quite a bit, but the owners skillfully inspected my car and saved me from my current and future issues, such as electrical, tires, engine, etc. They've been affordable, accomodating, and caring every time that I have come there--they truly treat you like family. Make sure to call ahead, have a great time talking, and take your car in and have a great sigh of relief. I have no doubt that they'll be able to assist you as best as they can.
