I feel bad for the people working here because theft is rampant here. I saw 3 different people filling up huge bags of stuff, literally emptying shelves.

Dayjania was so great and the only worker i could spot in the store. She was able to assist me with my shopping, ring me up and returned to stocking and manning the register. She’s a hard worker and definitely needs a raise if she’s the only employee present within the establishment.

Just after we came in, someone walked out stealing a large bag of merchandise. The thief was unchallenged by staff. (Not blaming staff but I'm stating it to paint a picture of the hopelessness of this store) The entire place smelled like a stinky dog, which may have been the pitbull mix owned by one of the several bums dragging themselves around in slow motion. This store didn't have the item I went in for, nor did it have much of anything. I've never seen a store so badly stocked in my life. The independent dollar store a couple blocks up the hill doesn't have ANY problems like this Dollar Tree, so we can't just blame it on the area.

The manager closed the lane I was in just now, but didn’t honor the line order so everyone behind me cut to the front of the newly opened registered, and I had to step to the back of the line, so instead of second, I was tenth.

They're supposed to close at 8 PM get there at 7:42 PM employee outside saying they're closed while smoking a cigarette. Not right! If you say open until 8 PM then OPEN UNTIL 8PM.

Disgusting smell, empty shelves and long lines. Possibly the worst shop in the Bay Area.

Don't believe the hours posted on Google. Says it closes at 8pm but yesterday I popped up around 730 and the doors were locked already the lady was letting what looked like the last customer out. Get there before 7 because they close on their own time.

This one is long overdue, but I did give the staff my word that I would leave a review. For whatever reason, San Francisco, by and large, tends to shy away from major cost-friendly retailers. The evil empire that is Wal-Mart is nowhere to be seen; however, demographics dictate that there is a Starbucks every 20 feet or so. Target has also managed to find a way in, but that's about it. This Dollar Tree location is actually located in Daly City, but if you're looking to save money, it's worth the trip. With just shy of a million people in the city, the shelves here are rarely fully stocked, which in itself shows how loyal the customer base is. While the variety is somewhat limited, this location makes up for it with its staff. Even at the "better stocked" Dollar Tree, it's infinitely worse, and I strongly suggest against visiting! As you can see from my other reviews, I haven't had the best time while residing in San Francisco, but to the credit of this Dollar Tree, they never once "jammed up". I tend to be a brand loyalist myself; my credo usually is, "If it's good, why shop around?" I came here when I had money; I came here when I was broke and starving; and of all the visits I had, I can only point to one slightly negative experience, which was due to attitude, not racially socioeconomic bias. I shrugged it off, grabbed my change, and walked out. No harm, no foul. The store itself is always clean, and it's located at the first (or last) stop on the 14 MUNI bus, making it a relatively easy trip directly up Mission Street. What else can I honestly say about a dollar tree you haven't already heard? The difference between this location and others in San Francisco or Phoenix is that all are welcome, versus other locations in San Francisco or Phoenix where only certain races are welcome. The workplace culture at this location is on par with how The Bay Area culture used to be, which is, respect others, and they'll respect you. Right on I was having a really rough time in San Francisco, but I knew that Dollar Tree was available when the chips were down. Thanks again! If you're looking to visit this location during your MLB or NBA fan experience, I strongly suggest it! All are welcome here, but approach this location with respect & kindness! As you can see from my other reviews, I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately. At great personal risk to myself, I write these reviews based on my experiences so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. I encourage others to SPEAK UP! Your voice can assist others in avoiding potentially detrimental situations, & as always, do your own research!

Avoid! People are buying lots of things and there's not much food selections around! Also shopping cart are sparse there, I grabbed one, left it for a second with few items and someone took the items off the cart and took the cart. Do not leave the cart unattended, they will take it!
