I'm not usually one to leave an angry review, but I was really disappointed with my visit today! I incurred a late fee on my car registration and chatted with a dmv agent online to discuss my options. They told me I can either go in person to discuss waving the late fee or send a request to Sacramento. They recommended going in person as the written request can take up to 30 days to be reviewed. As instructed, I go in person, and the agent helping me says that it's impossible for them to do anything about the late fee and that I have to mail in a request to Sacramento. I ask if I'll incur any additional charges with that extended timeframe, and they say no, but that the IRS may come after me for my delinquent payment. Now scared and feeling pressured, I end up paying for my registration and late fee there. I feel like fear tactics were used on me and the agent didn't listen to or care about my situation. I wouldn't be so upset but the agent I was talking to online said that they would be able to help me in person and then I was refused. The whole situation was a waste of time, but at least you're able to get in the dmv line online now ahead of time so I only ended up waiting 10 minutes there in person.

Going to the DMV on a Wednesday morning was not at all how I wanted to start my day, but it needed to be done! I needed to renew my DL in-person to take a vision test and a new DL photo. I arrived and checked in at 8:30; there was no line. I was assisted by three people-- the appointment check-in, the vision test and renewal application, and the woman who took my photo. I wish I got their names so I could give them the recognition they deserve because they were all very welcoming and helpful! Be kind to them and they'll be kind to you :) I arrived at 8:30 and was out of there by 8:55, not bad at all!

Finally renewed my passport! Made an appointment here 3 weeks prior to renewing my passport and the process was so quick. Under 10 minutes and the lady who helped me was so sweet. Got me in and out in so quickly. There is limited parking but don't forget, there's also street parking! I'm just 3 weeks my new passport arrived back home. Definitely book your appointment here!

There is literally only one person at this entire facility that can communicate a process clearly to people and it’s a guy with dreads back in the testing area.Otherwise every single person here has the competency of a banana. They can’t explain the steps clearly. They don’t tell you what to do next. They don’t understand what is and isn’t required for different licenses or registrations. The aren’t clear about when you can do what and timing. And I don’t think these people are unintelligent or anything. I truly believe this is just a failure of their management, if the state of California and the local government on how they train or don’t train employees to assist people when in these roles. It’s like they are taught robotic steps like a call center reading you a script that doesn’t know how to do anything else.DMVs are generally pretty bad experiences but I’ve never been told the wrong thing by more people because they can’t communicate than I have at this location. They can’t problem solve. They don’t know actual laws and requirements. The can’t think for themselves or more than one step ahead. The don’t help people at all. If you explain their job to them they get upset even if they truly don’t know what they are talking about. I’ve had managers insinuate that I’m a liar multiple times at this location because of the failure of their employees but when I rebut their offensive dialogue they act like I’m being rude.People get frustrated when they wait three hours and get 7 different directions and information from your poorly trained staff managers. Might want to be a bit more understanding.Their system and computers are archaic.I have three vehicles and this place is a literal nightmare for me. Seems like every time I go in there are confused people like me wondering what’s next seemingly bewildered by the chaos created by a staff that is blindly telling people what to do without all the information needed to assist.Someone promote the dude with dreads to manager and have him train these people on communication.

The atmosphere feels much more relaxed than the San Francusco DMV. The employees are a little friendlier too.

It is very efficient. And the system is fast, the only bad thing is that it is very difficult for people who do not speak English since there are workers who do not like to call an interpreter

The people who work here are very nice and helpful. My complaint is with their system. I came the day after I finished online application for DL renewal and they told me it actually takes 24 hours for the system to process it before they can do anything in the office to finalize it.

The employees were all nice, professional, and as fast as you can be. It took me about an hour to get out of there, they were patient with me, cheerful, and hard working. I appreciate you guys!

Had to renew license. Disorganized and very little initial help upon arrival. Their very patient and informative security guard was helpful, and not even a state worker. Once I was helped to get to the correct window to have my renewal processed I received good service from the DMV clerk.

Wait times are much better, yet I still do not understand why for behind the will test appointment with my teen daughter, we had to get in line 3 times. First, inside the building to check in, then outside in the car, and finely to get temporary paperwork instead of actual license. The actual license will arrive in 2 to 4 weeks. I checked in other states. Florida, for example, everyone gets their license printed in the office right after test or application excepted and proves of residency provided.

NY daughter did her driving test here. The lady that helped me was a Saint! MY registration was expired by 3 days and the card reader at the kios box was not working and would not accept credit cards. The lady said that she would wait for us, even tho her appointment was at 1020, it's now 1040. She said she would be gone from 11-12 and she would take me right away. I was about to go get a number and wait for 3 hours to pay my registration when I tried the card reader again and IT WORKED!!!! but now my car needs a smog....uuuugh!!!! I was printed a receipt and walked back to window 20 and waited....she looked at me and I told her I had a receipt that I paid it. Perfect.....we go drive in the line and wait. My poor kid is so nervous and so am I. She leaves and in 8 minutes is back. I thought, oh god....after all this, she didn't pass....well.....she did pass. We go back to window 20 and wait....she gets her paper copy only for me to see the address is wrong. FML. Now I have to do a change of address and then get a new license. Oh well....at least she passed and for being the DMV.....it was a pleasant experience believe it or not.
