These guys are great when it comes to small maintenance things like oil change and brakes pad replacements. Their prices are great for those kinds of work.
Anything that requires a day to do, they’re picky. They don’t take jobs they are not familiar with. These guys do not have a computer so there’s no way for them to look up documentation on how to fix things. The mechanics are too old to adapt.
I brought in my Subaru Forester to get checked for control arm issues. They said they couldn’t replicate it. I’m not sure how they tested it, but I feel my steering vibrate over 65 mph. A simple Google search will yield the issue I pointed out to them. All they had to do was actually check the control arms like I asked them to, but they didn’t. They could’ve stopped wasting time and tell me they cannot do it, but they didn’t.
I ended up bringing my car to another shop that was able to diagnose the issue just by putting it into a lift and actually inspecting the control arms.

I had my brakes and brake pads changed, brought in my car at 8am, got it back by lunch time the same day. Amazing service, VERY reasonably priced, good honest people! I would recommend taking your vehicle here to anyone and everyone!

I must say I always feel right at home at this place I was completely happy with my transmission i bought everytime i come or even drop in they are right there ready to help they took me right away when I cracked my bumper had me done so quick I was so happy fred n robert are awesome and since I know Robert's wife it very pleasant to see her too

Giving a huge shout to Robert and the team at Daly City Auto Repairs. I accidentally made an appointment at the wrong place thinking it was this place. I showed up with no appointment and they still made room for me. Great, old-school service that other places have forgotten.

I had an issue with my vehicle passing smog test. Another mechanic charged me $330.00 to diagnose, and asked for $1,200.00 to repair. I spoke with the previous owner, and they recommended Daly City Auto Repair, who maintained the vehicle for them for the time that they owned it.
Although it took a week* to repair, ( their parts vendor sent the wrong part). It was satisfactorily repaired at a savings of $500.00 less than the original mechanic was asking.
Being that he knows the vehicle, I'll use him again in the future.
* 5 days, not counting the weekend when they close.

Stop looking around for a reliable and honest shop because you've already found one. From my personal experience, Fred and his team were able to get my 96 Mustang fixed quickly and for a fair price. I will be returning in the future when I need repairs for sure!

I do my own fixes and so was reluctant to take my car to a shop this time, but when I dropped it off I left confident it was in the right hands. Fred was a straight shooter and had my car done in under 24 hours for way less than I expected. Came to learn that this was their dad's shop and they've been there since the 1950's. Solid family-owned establishment with kind people, good work, and no bs. Highly recommend.

My buddy found them on here (yelp) and said their prices seem honest and fair. Got help from Fred and he was awesome! I noticed I was leaking fluid and told them that it could be the radiator. Once he got his hands on it he confirmed the radiator was bad They replaced it in day. Couldn't be happier to get my car back so quick. I would definitely go back to have work done here! Price was very fair! Thanks a lot Fred!

I've been going to Daly City Auto Repairs for about 8 years now and they are wonderful. Highly highly recommend then.
