“I had the best experience working with Mary at Bridal Breeze! I went into the store not sure if what I was looking for even existed, and I found one that was perfect (plus several others that were also beautiful, just not exactly what I wanted). I think the store has fewer dresses that some of the other stores I went to, but they were all perfectly curated, so I was trying on one beautiful dress after another! They also post their entire inventory online, which was really useful for me beforehand, as I was trying to decide whether it was worth the drive from the south bay all the way up to the city. It definitely definitely was! They do not do alterations, but they have a few tailors who they recommend. I've heard horror stories about other shops ordering dresses multiple sizes too big so they can gouge you on alterations, so I'm happy to have avoided that conflict of interest. My dress pretty much fits, just needs some minor adjustments. Do note that the store is very small, so they can only handle one bride at a time. Definitely make an appointment before you go.”

“I recently went to Janene's to try on dresses for the first time. They can get quite busy on the weekends so I'm glad I arrived as soon as they opened on a Sunday. Nora assisted me throughout the entire process and was extremely helpful. She had me choose specific dresses I wanted to try on and she also chose one which I ended up loving. She talked me through the entire process and gave me information on how dresses would end up being altered to give me a better picture of how a dress would actually end up fitting. Their shop is so calming and beautifully decorated and the staff are awesome. I immediately felt at ease when I walked in. They ask you to go through their inventory online before your appointment and have a list of dresses that you’d like to try on. This was helpful for me as someone who was still trying to nail down what I was looking for. After they spoke with me a bit more and looked at my dress choices, it seemed like they knew what I wanted even better than I did. In the end, they pulled a dress for me that I didn’t ask to try on and was not expecting to like, but it ended up being my dress! I had heard that it’s pretty likely you’ll end up with something that you didn’t expect for yourself, and that was definitely true in my case. With Nancy's expertise, I crafted the most special dress for my big day. I can't thank her enough!I live 5,000 miles away from my best gals and my mum (my entire bridal party is overseas & on a different timezone), so when it came time to shop for my dress, I wanted honest feedback, not just sweet compliments from new friends. All my new friends were telling me I looked great in everything (which was nice of them), but most of the dresses just did not feel like me. That's where Nancy saved the day.After some back-and-forth (on my side because I'm indecisive), she offered to meet me solo one evening to bring my vision to life. This was truly the ONLY dress in San Francisco that suited my personality, and it was designed by Lace and Liberty.Speaking of the dress, it fits like a glove, but I'm opting for a few tweaks around the chest area to ensure absolute perfection. I plan to wear it for a solid 12 hours and hide an old tattoo so I will alter it a tiny bit, but it's SO perfectly fitting otherwise (honestly, I cannot explain how well it fits). “I purchased my wedding dress from Sarah Seven in Chicago. When it came time to clean the dress, Sarah Seven recommended using Elegance Preserved. I was concerned because their operations were not local, but they made the process SO easy! Not only were they excellent at communicating and diligently tracking my wedding dress as it was shipped (even sending me tracking updates), they also were very clear in their communication of cost and services. I had a lot of dirt on the bottom of the dress and spray tan stains (especially around the armpits), and the dress came back in excellent condition. I cannot recommend Elegance Preserved enough!!”

In particular, Veronica's patience, attention to my unique needs, and her knowledge of their inventory were exceptional. “I had been a fan of Dark Garden for years! A friend of mine passed down a used underbust she purchased from their store ages ago, and I had a good time wearing it to an event. I've always wanted to visit the store in person, and finally had my chance when I went to their store to visit their business neighbor, Revelation In Fit. The ladies in Dark Garden were really nice and directed me to my appointment, and also invited me to check our their store afterwards if I had the time. Which I did, and I did.Kay and a new clerk (my apologies for not getting her name, but she was awesome and gorgeous, and I wish her all the best in her new position at the store!) helped me out in trying on their demo corsets. One overbust model and one underbust model. The fitting results from the models I tried (Eden and Valentine) were BEAUTIFUL! And Kay was knowledgeable and encouraging. I really appreciated her help!Since it was after another appointment, i wasn't prepared to go all-in on a corset at that time. However, I WILL make my way again to "Dark Garden" to fully partake in their beautiful delights. “I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Nelly's! Don't let the busy location in south San Francisco deter you , it is a wonderful, down to earth, family ran bridal shop that is worth going to.
I was thankful that owner Nelly was able to fit me in on short notice, and I appreciated her flexibility. While parking can be a bit of a challenge with only residential parking, it's not impossible. I recommend allowing some extra time to find a spot so you can arrive on time for your appointment.
Once inside, the shop feels warm and welcoming, with a cozy family atmosphere and an impressive selection of dresses. Nelly herself is a delight - warm, personable, and knowledgeable. I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted with little experience in dresses generally speaking. Nelly's expert guidance helped me find the perfect dress. It wasn't what I initially thought I would go for, but it's truly stunning!

“I was glad that I found this place. I was 5 weeks away from the city hall day so I have a super tight timeline. I originally found the gown at another place that they really tried hard and pushed me to get it on the spot, which I didn't like the way they do business. So when I visited Novella and saw the same gown, I knew I am getting it here. With the tight timeline and I was also pregnant, they had Carol take a look of it right away the same day I triand see if ordering the gown and alteration will be doable with the timeline. I wasn't pressured to get the gown on the spot or asked to pay expedited shipping fee. I called them in the next few days to commit the order and got a quote for alteration, which I think it's a fair cost in the market. My body changed quite fast due to pregnancy and we had fitting multiple times just within the few weeks. Carol had to wait till close to the date to do the waist. At one point I couldn't zip the gown because my belly grew too much after a big lunch and Carol panicked a bit. We managed to get it work. She altered the last part two days before I picked up the gown to make sure the right fit. The gown turned out really nice, the waistline area was just so smooth that it rests just right over my belly smoothly. It didn't look like I was 6month present, not that it was intentionally to hide, just the transition was perfect.”

Three months before my wedding, my mom reached out to Georgette for advice and Georgette became my absolute angel! She was very accommodating and communicative throughout the scheduling process. When I came in for my appointment, I didn't really have anything specific in mind only that I wanted my hair up and a bright makeup look vs natural. My hair and makeup turned out perfectly. She was very sweet and gentle during the entire process. I got a lot of compliments during my wedding. Her studio was very cute and clean too.
