A great little spot off route 66. Just your basic gas station/ liquor store. However, they have a mini grocery store so if you need to pick up grocery items you don't have to go all the way into town. It's a fun little drive just over the railroad tracks. Come check it out on your next road trip and stop in for a nice cold drink or some scratchers

Went to pick up a u-haul and the u-haul system was down, the owner went above and beyond and was on the phone calling multiple people for about a hour and never stopped until he resolved the issue and got me on my way.definitely recommend doing business here!

Both times I have been to this location the gentleman has been very kind and incredibly helpful when it came to our U-Haul. His store is also very nicely stocked and their assistance was greatly appreciated!

Easy in easy out. Cold beer and ice . No complaints.Usual prices.Friendly guy behind the counter. I would suggest a stop here just for historic reasons. This market has been in Daggett for a long time.

My review is based on a recent U-Haul pick up from Desert Market. The staff were friendly, talkative and very helpful. They wished us well on our long journey ahead and made us feel very cared for. Thanks, Desert Market!

Was new to the area and was surprised to see there was a market within walking distance from our house. Upon entering the store the owner Joe made me feel comfortable with his warm greeting of welcome. For a small business they have good services and upon request will stock special items, such as favorite drinks or candy and snacks. You can rent a U-haul or car dolly. Pay your utility bill, send and receive money. Send small packages and even cash checks. So I suggest the next time your passing thru Daggett stop by Desert Market and say hello to Joe, Mic and Beckey. Dortha,

To be honest, this place reminded me a lot of the 100 year old liquor store I once visited in Upland. I had picked up a sheet with information on old Daggett from the Route 66 Museum in Barstow. Here's the short version. The original store burnt down in the Daggett fire of 1908. (the nearby buildings were also destroyed as well) But they rebuilt this place, and this became the first 'fire proof' building in the Mojave Desert. Fire proof due to the fact that the whole thing was re-built using a railroad carload of cement. (The roof too!) Back in the day, the place was one of few that exchanged gold dust and nuggets for cash that miners could spend. Later, in 1953, a safecracker got away with $1000.00 in gold dust and nuggets. But ya. Back over Columbus day weekend in 2017. I stopped in front of the place because it looked old. Then I read the paper and discovered it was actually old. Then I went in to buy a soda because it was kinda warm out. The guy behind the register was nice. The soda was cold. Boom. That's about how a convenience store run should be.
