We went on Saturday before happy hr ended. K-pop! Good Day soju $8.Great service. Loved the comp popcorn. Food came fairly fast:beef yaki udon-- good balance of veggies, udon & beef (beef tasted old, tough, too).grilled chicken gizzard on a mound of veggies--required really strong teeth & jaws.yakitori variety & taste--decentMaybe better with pork-bacon & seafood options.First visit--meh date night dinner. Likely will be back with a group of drinking buddies (whom I've never gone out with). ;)

Very cozy place to chat it up with coworkers and friends. The service to take orders is quick with pushing the doorbell next to your table. The yakitori is delicious, and may take up to 10-20 min depending on how busy the restaurant is. The food comes out piping hot so be careful!!I would recommend these for yakitori:-Galbi-Sojuya Spicy Pork Belly-Ika Tempura-Sojuya Spicy ChickenYou can get the regular sauce too if you're not into spicy.I would not order the meatball yakitori again since it was not extraordinary in any way.

Over prized for the quality of food you get. They also missed some items on the order.

Had the spicy Ham and Hot Dog soup. So good, though a lot bigger than we expected. Sampled a bunch of Yakitori, mostly chicken and beef. Excellent.

This place has a good vibe. I normally come here to drink with a friend and we normally get the tteokbokki popcorn chicken. I've tried other dishes that are good here like the tteokbokki ramen and spicy pork belly which are good as well.We love Soju, so that's what we normally get. They also give you complimentary popcorn as soon as you sit down, so that's a plus! It's a good place to talk, eat, and drink!

Came here for some drinks to celebrate a friend's birthday. We came on a Sunday night and it was surprisingly very packed. We were seated quickly and the staff was very nice. We ordered a few soju bottles and beer pitchers and some fries to snack on. Overall a good experience and would come again (:

The service was bad. They didn’t let us get soju just because one friend wasn’t 21 no other restaurant does that.

I really wanted Korean rice cakes and was planning on going to Luv Duk but the wait was going to be 45 minutes so I went here instead. I got the rabboki and the honey garlic chicken. I didn't want to eat there, so I ordered pick up. I was surprised the sauce was on the side for the chicken, but it tasted good. The chicken could have been more crispy. I didn't care for the rabboki. The flavor wasn't that good and the noodles were over cooked. I almost wished I waited for the 45 minute for the other food. All in all, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either.

First time! Took advantage of their happy hour menu! So many options at affordable! Had a great time at Moms night Out! Service is okay, loud music and dark! Good for friends gathering but if you want to have a conversation, not recommended coz it's super loud.

I can't say anything negative about this place but I was there to spend time with a special person.

I was craving yakitori and visited Sojuya on a weekday for dinner. You are greeted by three Jinro frogs once you enter the establishment. The place is divided into two rooms. The front room is brightly lit, very modern Korean/Japanese. It looks like people can sit at the bar and around the open charcoal grill, but there was no one in the room at the time.My group of two was seated in the second room which was more like the typical Korean bar. Light focused onto the tables only. Kpop was being played and they have the MV projected on the wall. We were seated close to a speaker in the corner of the room. It was a little loud, but not to the point where I wanted to move to another table. For food, we orders the half seafood and pork okonomiyaki and a decent amount of skewers. The Japanese pancake was solid and I highly recommend! The skewers were good although I wish that there was more variety of veggie/mushroom skewers and marinade options. I had high hopes on the beef skewers but found the meat too tough especially the large chunks.Overall, I enjoyed the experience and wouldn't mind visiting again. I'm sure Fri/Sat nights with a group would be a blast at Sojuya!
