Vivian did an AMAZING job on my hair. I was referred to her by Grace. I came in not knowing exactly what I wanted and Vivian explained every step to the process. We went for a natural blonde look with the balayage. She worked hard to achieve the look and always asked to see if I was okay. She's great to talk to as well and made me feel comfortable which is a big plus for me! I loved how my hair turned out!!! 5/5 recommend!

DONT BE FOOLED!! My profile pic is what my hair USED to look like!!
I was Vivian’s client for nearly 10 years! Loved her and her work until she destroyed my hair to the point that my long thick hair is now the past. I now have to wear extensions.
My gray became more prevalent and in April 2023 I decided to go as light as she could possibly take me bc I figured it would blend more easily. She promised me we would do it gradually to avoid damage and breakage. I trusted her. The very first time she bleached it, my hair was orange! Problem is that I couldn’t tell bc when I walked out of her salon I often left with wet hair. She always had me blow dry my own hair, which I didn’t mind bc prior to this bc she always did a great job. I knew it was orange when I got home and blow dried. I had handfuls of hair in my hands but at this point I was more worried about orange hair. That should have been a red flag however I figured it was expected to lose some hair due to the bleach and I had a lot of hair. At her recommendation, I overnighted a purchase of purple shampoo and it helped but I still needed to fix it. I went back to her soon after, I think it was early June .. I still trusted her (BIG MISTAKE!) I ended up loosing more hair … it was so thin. I didn’t say anything bc we had a good relationship and this point I thought I could nurture it back to health. Sadly every shower and blow dry resulted more and more hair loss.
In August I decided to get the extensions bc my hair was becoming less and less. So when I would get my extensions moved up about every six weeks, I would go to Vivian for the roots. I went to her for the roots bc this part of my hair was strong and I thought she would be extra cautious and careful (I WOULD LATER FIND OUT I WAS SO WRONG!!) I got real hair quality extensions and they gave me confidence bc they looked so good. So I did this a few times.
My last hair extension appt. I planned to take them out to see how much my hair had grown - this was earlier this month - almost a year since the first time she bleached it. Oh my gosh I cried like a baby at the high end extension salon “Gloss Hair Studio” in Los Alamitos. They all felt so bad for me. MY HAIR IS GONE! ITS A SHELL OF WHAT IT USED TO BE! I had to put the extensions back in. You have to understand that I didn’t know what my real hair looked like bc at the move up appts. the extensions are moved up one strand at a time so you don’t get to see your real hair underneath. The gal asked me how my “color expert” did my roots and I explained. She said that Vivian was “overlapping” meaning was bleaching all of the strand of my real hair in between the extensions vs just doing the black root. This was completely frying what was left of my hair!!!
Here’s the kick when I am down … I texted Vivian about this issue and told her I wouldn’t be going back to her and offered my msg as feedback for her to be more careful with other clients that want to go light. Her reply was 3 laughing emojis. I was devastated! And the reason I wrote this review. Be careful with Vivian … she turned out to be a big fake disappointment and huge regret!!

I don't remember who did my hair and makeup but I'm writing this based on my experience 7 years ago. I never got over it. They ruined my first and only prom experience. They did my hair and makeup. I showed them a picture of the exact hairstyle I wanted and instead of doing it, they decided to put their own touch on it. Instead of cute little braids, I looked like I was going to my own quinceanera. Way over the top with crusty hairspray. Not flawless at all. Makeup was horrendous. I have a unique face with VERY light eyebrows and hooded eyelids. They just couldn't figure out my face and there was no time to fix it. I guess that's what I get for going there last minute. I do not recommend this place if you have an event. Find somewhere more professional.Services: Hairstyling

I got recommended this place by my cousin and due to the good reviews I decided to give it a shot. Vivian Is a very nice women. She actually explains in detail how she's going to do the hair and what damages it may cause. And of course she did amazing on me and my families hair. We all got hair cuts and she bleached my other family members hair. I 100% recommend. She made me and my family feel very welcomed and did a great job!

They say they can not color or bleach mens hair because mens hair is too weak and not as strong as women's hair so they hair breaks....!?

These people are truly amazing! Vivian is a powerhouse of a woman and truthful! Her husband is kind and they are truly God sent. they got me ready for my first date since my divorce, and even though the dude lagged I still felt so beautiful inside and out. Nothing was gonna ruin the glow they gave me at Glamorous Hair!

I've been coming here since 2016 & my experience has always been great. Vivian will never upsell you or try to get you to buy any products. She's flexible with scheduling & is honest about what styles & colors are best for you/your face. It's always positive & upbeat and very reasonably priced compared to others in the area. Her clientele spans to multi-generations, sometimes grandma, mom & daughters come in together which goes to show that customers here are loyal & satisfied!

My hair was super orange after attempting to bleach my own hair. I decided to give this hair salon a try to fix my hair after reading the good reviews on here. It ended up being perfect. Vivian helped me get rid of the orange hair and transformed it to brown with blonde highlights. She saved my hair and it looks so good now! Definitely recommend anyone to get their hair done at this shop with Vivian, she's great & kind!
