536 Emerson St, Palo Alto“Very small bookstore but not too bad to see Japanese bookstore in the States. Almost identical to bookstore in Japan. There’s a small collection on stationeries, books and magazines. They do have souvenirs only available in the States.”
“I love this place. They carry a good mix of new releases and older titles. I can spend an hour just browsing the fiction. Very welcoming staff, and they let you bring back some books for credit toward new purchases. This may be my favorite business in the area.”
“This store has an aura of possibility. It has shelves lining the walls, and there is a fairly appealing collection of books of different types. And then, there is the bibliosmia. What makes the place more fun is a cat with a personality. There are some quirky book bags too!”

“An expansive array of metaphysical and spiritual goods. Everything from books, crystals, candles, jewelry, statues, and other interesting items. A huge selection of tarot cards and singing bowls.”
“Feels so good to still see this book store open. The kids section is so well organized but the train table is missing which probably is due to pandemic experience. They have a Harry Potter section with cute stuffed toys etc.”
11AM - 10PM
317 Castro St, Mountain View“It’s a very small place to find books they have. They have fiction, cooking, history, and other kinds of books. However, you won’t find most of the books you need due to the size of this place. I honestly wish that they have manga, but don’t think they have them in stock. Probably gonna need to ask them next time though. They also have sections where they have books on sale though I did find ones that were very pricey. Still a good book shop to go to!”
10AM - 6PM
125 S Murphy Ave, Sunnyvale“Bookasaurus is a gem of a bookstore, filled to the brim with a wide selection of books and gifts. The manager is incredibly kind, even offering free gift wrapping, which makes it my go-to spot for children's gifts. What sets this store apart, though, is the staff. They're not just kind; they're genuinely passionate about getting kids excited about reading. They have a gentle approach that's great with children, making every visit a delight.”
“The book I wanted wouldn't make it from Amazon on time but I was able to search the Books Inc inventory on their website, drive down and pick it up. The store is cozy, the staff are helpful and if you need a book they are worth a visit.”
“Such a lovely children’s bookstore! They have a very wide range of selection for books and toys for little ones. Worry not, they also have a small section for young adults as well.Personally, I love their collection of puzzles. There are many rare puzzles that I couldn’t find it online or Amazon. These are amazing!Oh, the staff is very friendly. They also have a gift wrapping station.”
“I was in the area, and decided to stop by this cute (not so little) book store. It was a pretty pleasant experience all things considered. They have a pretty solid collection of books (I picked up a couple while I was there), and their staff was friendly too.The shop definitely had a bit of a political bend to it, which isn’t my favorite, but it’s a privately owned shop. Still a cute spot to check out if you’re in the area.”
“We went here for used book sales and often took home some books. Good variety of books. If you are a book lover , you would enjoy spending a couple of hours to read some books .”
“Love this bookstore so much! It's by far one of the best used bookstores I've ever been in and the staff are so lovely. As another reviewer stated, the proceeds from this store help support the library and it's run by volunteers. Prices range from $1-$5 and the book selection/quality is excellent. After donating several of my books today, I decided to pick up a copy of "Normal People" by Sally Rooney; it's pretty much a brand new copy (only lightly-used) and it cost me $2. I'm so happy! Wonderful bookstore - highly recommend supporting/buying from here instead of mass retailers. Only bring cash or local check.”

3000 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara“This review is intended for West Valley-Mission student health services. Kelsey T., an R.N., was wonderful today at West Valley College. I had a campus workout-related ailment that I was concerned about...enough to make an appointment with my Kaiser doctor. Nurse Kelsey patiently explained it to me and "patched me up" without rushing me out the door. Jenny, the medical asst., was very friendly, as well. I'm a 'sophomore' at WVC, but this was my first use of this outstanding resource for students. Thank you...go Vikings!”
“If you want to touch something truly deep, selected with great care, attention, and talent, then Bell's Books is the place for you! A family business transmitting sacred knowledge and secrets of the book business is a rarity these days. It is a real treasure that preserves the professionalism and invaluable experience of the owners. It was a pleasure to visit and speak to its owner!”
