“We would like to thank the entire team at the Markham! My husband and I love living here along with our pug. We are thankful we call the Markham home. Special thank you to Ignacio who always goes above and beyond to be of service.”
“Best managed apartment complex I've ever lived in. Mark and Bryan are terrific. Some highlights of the property are beautiful landscaping, ample parking, a pool, and gym. The buildings are well maintained. And the complex is very responsive to any maintenance requests.”
“This complex is fairly old, but pretty and pleasant. I give it four stars because the rent is so high.
But Vanessa is a five-star member of the office staff. She worked very hard on a recent problem we had that involved sorting out a parking problem after we accidentally signed a lease without checking that our parking situation was what we’d expected.
Vanessa is a really good problem-solver. She’s a key reason why we plan to renew our lease when the time comes.”
“In the past I would have given this place 3 stars but the new management has really stepped up and made improvements. They are very responsive and helpful with any questions or issues I've had.”
“Thanks to Ana Navarette for her quick response to our recent sink clogging issue . She was very responsive, provided us the needed information of the issue and was patience handing the situation.
She is professional and excellent at her job. A must recommended person.”
“An oasis of peace in San Jose. Its so blissful to live here. There are giant redwoods, blooming flowers, immaculately clean pool, jacuzzi and a fitness center. They could have easily added more floors and made the property more crowded but they rather preferred preserving the "resort-like" ambience. While the maintenance team is passionate about their job, Luu is the star of the show. Theresa-the property manager is so courteous and always willing to help with a smile. I lived here for 2 years and was bummed to move out due to change of job to another city. I'd definitely live here again if I am back to San Jose.”
“It was a great experience during my 2 years of living here. The staffs here Ericka (now Valnea) and Martin are super helpful and friendly and they take care of any issue asap. The building is always in excellent condition.”

4500 Carlyle Ct, Santa Clara“I have had a wonderful experience living in this apartment. The environment is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, creating a very comfortable place to live. The price is also quite reasonable, especially considering the quality of the facilities and services provided.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and always willing to help. (Huge thanks to Molly!!!) They are professional, approachable, and make every effort to ensure residents feel welcome and supported.
The maintenance team is also very efficient and responsive. Any requests or issues are addressed quickly and effectively, giving me great peace of mind.
Overall, I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and well-managed place to live. I’m truly grateful for the positive experience I’ve had here!”
“4.5/5. If you're tired of all those "luxury" units that offer lots of stuff no one needs and you just want a reasonable place, you'll want to consider this one.Let's start with the bad. The property is old, which means you'll get the usual issues, including the type of noise that is detrimental to cardiac health. If you're considering a lower unit, try to get a feel of how much movement you'll have upstairs before renting. Telltale signs of too much movement usually, but not always, include lots of stuff on the deck and presence of doorbell cameras. There are units that feel like tyrannosauruses live upstairs. When they walk, you can see ripples on water glasses standing on your kitchen counter. It's striking, yet not surprising given the structure. Some people and pets are nocturnal, so the movement could easily start at 11pm and end at 2am. Even in units with light footed upstairs tenants, you'll get the same noises from the hallways, albeit less intense. People let doors slam shut, with a force that shakes doors across the hallway. Another potential noise issue comes from wall-mounted TVs. The wall becomes a passive amplifier of the speakers, and it can feel super loud in adjacent units. Lastly: be careful with elevators and trash containers. Elevators are noisy and the trash is loudly dragged out in the early morning hours. If you get a low noise unit, you'll be fine. The very good: Management. They're super helpful. Although short-staffed, they get the job done and are easy to work with. Note: don't waste your time trying to get through the phone robots, you won't ever reach anyone at the leasing office, just pay them a visit in person. Same goes for applying: go physically. Take a look at the actual apartments. You will have to do application stuff online, but make sure you visit first.More about the units: The renovated ones are good, make sure to take a look at those. Some of the heaters are weak, be prepared with supplemental heating like space heaters. The air conditioners are OK, powerful for their size. I just wish they were reversible heat pumps. The parking situation is good, though not assigned so you might need to spend time looking for your preferred spots. AT&T fiber internet is great, though be advised: it will take a tech visit and about 4 hours to get set up, even in pre-wired units. You have to go through the bulk account and pay the corporate Avalon middlemen, but at least you get more speed for the price. If you go with Xfinity, you can set the equipment up yourself, and the network at the property gets good signal, so you'll have a stable connection.I hate that PG&E is paid through Conservice, they're horrible, but they're everywhere and inescapable. Electric meter numbers don't match, you'll wonder if you're being scammed. Units have no water meters, and the water heaters are common gas fired boilers (btw: they still depend on electricity, so hot water goes out when there are power outages) it's pretty much all divided "equally". So feel free to use all the water you want. The pipes are old galvanized, so don't be alarmed by nasty colors just after opening faucets. BTW, there's a review here saying you'll want to look for a new shower head from Amazon. Don't do that. Tell maintenance about any issue, and they'll help you. I was unsatisfied with my shower head's pressure, and they replaced it in no time and it's perfect. The culprit of blocked shower heads is probably the galvanized piping.I've no complaints about amenities. There's occasionally minor issues: An elevator somewhere is down. A laundry room needs to be closed for a while. The system to reload the laundry card breaks. PG&E has a power outage for a few hours. Key fobs stop working. I've seen these kinds of issues happen everywhere, and personally haven't been affected by any of these, so my review is very positive. It might seem like I'm negative. I”
“This is my 4th apartment at the Esplanade in San Jose California. I love it here!! Steven Watkins is an amazing Leasing Agent with the best customer service skills. He goes above and beyond for all the residents. In the past maintenance has been exceptional as well. Can’t wait to move back in!!”
“Robert and Rojelio are the best! I feel we have the best maintenance team around! When there is an issue, they respond so quickly! The netting in my sliding door came off as my daughter ran into it. I saw them outside and they promptly took out the door and fixed it, no questions asked! They are the best!!!!!”

535 Everett Ave, Palo Alto“Mia really is great place to live in. Taylor kindly answered our questions and helped us with administrative matters as well. We are satisfied with all the service and facilities here! I highly recommend this place for your housing.”
“I am very impressed with the Maintenance Team at this apartment. I submitted a request to fix a noisy toilet next Wednesday, but to my surprise, they resolved it on Saturday morning. The response was incredibly fast. The technician, Efrian, was very nice, friendly, and professional. He quickly fixed the issue that had been disrupting my sleep all week due to the noise. I'm very grateful to Efrian for his help.”

870 E El Camino Real, Mountain View“We've lived here comfortably and pretty safely for 3 years.
As others have pointed out, Ray on the maintenance team keeps this place running smooth! He's always prompt, professional, kind and friendly. He will fix whatever problem has presented itself AND take the time to say hi to your dog. Things malfunction, it's a normal part of a home. But Ray gets things back to working order quickly- even if it's a weekend. I can't imagine this place without him here!
Despite others' complaints, the rent here seems on par for the area. It was sort of mid-range when we moved in. Spacious storage wise and parking wise. Our unit was renovated before we moved in and it has held up relatively well. We had a small number of ants once. The complex has pest control here weekly anyway and they came by and took care of it the next day. Haven't seen an ant since.
The noise of renovations around the complex can be loud especially if you're near one of the large dumpsters they fill and empty almost daily. There's also debris around these dumpsters constantly (broken glass etc) But it is something we were warned about before moving in. They tried to start tossing things into the dumpster around 7am one weekend but all it took was me standing in my doorway, telling them it was too early and they left.
Our catalytic converter was stolen from our spot in the parking lot over night once but I know that's a common thing. If packages are left outside the mailbox they will be stolen. The mailboxes themselves have been broken into a couple times too. But Justin at the leasing office holds packages for us now! He'll also come pick up a package from your door and hold onto it for you if you're away. Super friendly guy. Always around to answer questions and help out. We did install home security cameras etc for peace of mind but I dunno, I think that's just par for being in the bay. We've felt generally pretty safe here. I think it might have something to do with our unit being further away from El Camino and more nestled into the subdivision, but who knows.
The neighbours & staff are friendly, there's a nice park nearby, the place is very dog friendly (except no pets allowed in the common area which kind of sucks...) but it's close to work and the climbing gym.. if we've gotta be in the bay this place is good enough for us.”
“I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Domain Apartments, and a huge part of that is thanks to Alex! From the very start, Alex went above and beyond to help us find the perfect apartment that matched all of our needs. He took the time to listen to what we were looking for, showed us several options, and guided us through every step of the leasing process with patience and expertise.
Living here has been fantastic—the apartments are modern, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the amenities make it feel like a true home. Any time we had questions or needed assistance, Alex and the team were always available and quick to help. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about your experience, and Alex definitely makes you feel like a valued resident. Highly recommend Domain Apartments to anyone looking for a great place to live!”
“Having been a satisfied and happy tenant of Parker Palo Alto for more than 10 years, I can say that the apartment always gets top notch neighborhood directors and ambassadors. The techs are superb too. They do take care of you. Highly recommended!”
“"I've had a great experience working with Maplewood Apartments
Over the years I've been working for Killroy Pest Control to keep the unit's pest-free. Dan is consistently prompt and organized, always having the keys ready for inspections and services, which ensures that the process runs smoothly.
I also want to give a special shout-out to Betina for her exceptional customer service. She always greets me with a smile and is eager to help when I provide invoices. She also does a fantastic job following up with residents to ensure they're prepared for treatments when necessary.
Overall, I highly recommend Maplewood for their professionalism, efficiency, and top-notch customer service. Their commitment to keeping the unit's pest-free is truly appreciated, and their team members like Dan and Betina make working with them a pleasure."”
“Amazing apartment at the heart of mountain view downtown. Stayed for 4 years and really liked the community & the amenities . I will miss Madera apartments since we are moving out.”
“Been here for 2 years and what makes the difference for me is how the management goes above and beyond to take care of the tenants and the building. The ladies at the leasing office have been above and beyond helpful when it comes to things like delivery, packages and inquiries. The property has also got a beautiful lounge by the pool area which I often take advantage of for WFH.”
“We have been living here in Cezanne apartments since few months now and having an amazing time living here. Its near and clean property and quite safe place. Specially Manager Anu has been friendly, very helpful, nice person and she is very prompt in getting any maintenance issues fixed in time. Cesar from maintenance team is also very quick and helpful. Common areas are regularly cleaned. Lot of parking spaces and very close to market.”
“The apartments are amazing and the people here are very sweet, welcoming and understanding! Absolutely love it here and it’s right at the downtown too so that’s very convenient. I really wish they would change the washers cuz the load is very small which makes it quite inconvenient. It would also be better if they could change to a keypad system instead of a key. But other than that the apartments are awesome!”

3320 Montgomery Dr, Santa Clara“I recently leased an apartment at Santa Clara Square and could not be more pleased with the service I've received throughout the process. I had a long list of requirements for the home I wanted and Sabrina was beyond patient with me. She asked all the right questions and ensured I found a home that I loved. Thank you to the team at Santa Clara Square. Looking forward to calling it home!”
“I have been living here since 2019. They always had good leasing managers and maintenance teams (person). The place is always spotless, well-maintained and close to downtown. Special shout out to Sandra for all the help in the last 2 years.”
“I had a great time living at The Shadows for 2 years. Friendly staff, maintenance is quick, clean lawn, common areas and gym, an apartment with working appliances. Very convenient location, extremely close to 101 and the Google office buildings in Mountain View.”
“We had a great experience during our stay at Briarwood Apartments. The community managers, particularly Chris and Savitha, were exceptional in their service. They were consistently prompt in addressing any maintenance requests or concerns that came up during our stay.
What stood out was their professionalism during both move-in and move-out processes. Chris and the team made these typically stressful transitions smooth and straightforward.
If you're looking for a well-managed apartment with attentive staff, I'd definitely recommend Briarwood.”

She was always nothing short of attentive and made me feel like she really cared to help assist me. Overall the leasing staff is helpful and makes the leasing process smooth and easy. Incredibly happy to have called campbell plaza my home!”
“Great place to live. Things are well maintained and the leasing office is very helpful. The parking is secure and the location is in close proximity to different stores.”
“Best apartment thus far! Huge shoutout to the leasing office team, especially Kimberly! I had a horrible roommate situation, but thanks to their help, I was able to tolerate it until the lease ended. Also, they handled all service requests promptly and diligently. From the amazing amenities to the cleanliness of the property, I highly recommend Cobalt! ?”
“Best apartment among 4 I lived in the bay area.
The staff Julie and Maria are the best I have ever met.
They are puncture, friendly, and most importantly help to solve the problems(so professional, especially responde to emails quickly to solve problems).
Fore sure the buildings are not new or fancy, but the quietness, location and the nearby part worth much more than the price.
I have to move out for personal reasons, and maybe come back in the future.”
“I had a fantastic experience staying here for a year. The apartment complex is well-maintained, and the amenities are top-notch. The pools are beautiful and always clean—perfect for a relaxing swim. I also enjoyed using the sauna, and the tennis courts were a great addition for some outdoor activity. The management team is responsive and friendly, making living here a pleasure. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable living experience!
Recent experience:
Some resident here are very arrogant.. I was loading few thing in my car and left it on street for 10mins(was constantly visiting) an arrogant resident came by and asked to turn off the blinker and stating passing racist comments. When confronted, she started accusing me for stealing her stuff from her car. I was completely shocked. May be is because I caught her peeping into my car.”
