Used to be good, but cares more his and family living and vacation abroad at the cost and abandonement of long time client. Never return phone calls nor emails because he and family were abroad. I had to seek help from a REAL CPA (instead of this services which is just a broker). Gross unprofessional conducts! Now it's tax season again and shamelessly chasing me for business with him??? Otta be some one with no integrity!

Contacted them about a week and a half prior to the deadline to see if they could take care of my personal and small business taxes after a referral from a good friend of mine. Spoke to Abe, a real piece of $#!+ and unprofessional manager. Told me he would take care of both and that despite it being late, I didn't mind paying any penalties incurred. Several days prior to the deadline I reach out via phone and email numerous times. Its been over a week and not a damn peep. Screw Aegean and the whole team. If you couldn't handle the workload why accept the work? Or at least have the decency to let a client know that prior to the damn due date. Now I'm pissed, assed out and penalized for my personal taxes after not hearing from anyone and going to handle it myself.

More than 10 years on, Abe continues to be extremely competent and an invaluable help in helping me file my personal and business taxes. He gives straightforward counsel and advice and I am very appreciative of his help.

I really hate to write this review as Abe has been like a friend when when he talks with us, but every year we get 2-3 notices from IRS on mistakes in our tax filing and each time I literally have to email, text, and call him 10+ times to get an answer. Last year we had to pay 8k more taxes because of his mistake in filing, and again last month we got another letter for 4.5k more tax payment. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend Abe anymore.

Bitter experience with Abe who i hired for helping me file taxes. Charges a lot of money for poor quality work. Have penalties from IRS for incomplete submission due to Abe's incompetencies. Little to no professionalism and work ethics. Pls don't waste your time and money with this firm.

Quick story: I was in my early 20's and had a business, kinda, sorta, fall into my lap. I was stressing about taxes because I was used to the typical W2 setup and I had no idea how much money I was supposed to set aside for taxes at the end of the year. After getting a late notice from the IRS, I decided it was time to setup an appointment with a CPA. I did a quick Yelp search and stumbled upon Aegean. When I finally met with Abe and gave a description of the business I had, he quickly realized that the tax forms filed by the company paying me was filed incorrectly. Noticing that one error saved me thousands of dollars every year. The company paying me was notified of the mistake, and now they have corrected it on their end permanently. Presumably Abe has saved hundreds of others thousands of dollars too, just like me. I used Abe's services for 7ish or 8ish years, but then I got married and now I need to file jointly with my husband's CPA (boo hoo). If I had a choice, I'd use Abe's services again in a heartbeat!

Every year getting a simple response from him is like pulling your hairs out. It is a nightmare not knowing if your tax is filed on time, or the late filing processes has been done. For example.... Leaving the country in a couple of weeks and absolutely need to file my taxes prior to departure or face penalties. A week+ of phone calls, voicemails, and emails got me nowhere. I had to look up to see if they are out of business and found myself in similar situations with many others. Given that I've already spent 1/2 of my already-limited time trying to get the tax documents to Abe without success I have no choice but to find another consultant in a hurry, as Aegean does not treat your IRS matters seriously nor professionally.

Cant believe I am writing bad review for Abe. Just a year ago I thought we were great friends and now I think that he most unreliable person I have met. I think Abe has expanded his business and he does not need small fish any more. Obviously he forgot that I was with him when he was small fish. Now he is completely unprofessional. I have never gotten so many IRS letter in past 2 years. before that I had zero letters. This is due to not filing the tax properly. I thought we pay him to get this right. I end up spending more time in getting fixed with penalty. I think at this time people should know that this is not the same service as use to be. I wish him good luck after get my last 2 returns fixed from him. But I will not recommend him to my enemies even.

Year 1 ... Great service. Talks the talk and does decent job. Year 2 he f***** up the numbers. I got a letter from IRS to at difference and fine. Reach out to Abe about it and he is MIA. After multiple emails his assistant replied that he is traveling and thus cannot help. He asked me to pay the difference and fine saying he will reimburse the fine. Year 3... He changes his tone and says he will do my taxes for free ( fine was higher than his fee). But then gives me one date in Feb that won't work for me. When asked to reschedule he kept saying ok but never did. Tax date has since gone and multiple emails went unanswered. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL! Never going back to Abe and nor do I recommend him to anyone. Update: Abe called me and we were able to fix the issues. He was very kind and apologetic about the situation. He did the right thing and helped me with my filing without additional charge.

Buyer beware! I've used him for complicated tax returns. The tax-returns are complicated for me but shouldn't be for him. I found and pointed out several errors in his tax-returns. Abe was always distracted, unprepared and seemed uninterested in doing work. He is a talker and spent most of the time sweet-talking about everything but the tax-filings and frankly wasting a lot of my time. I didn't express any of this to him at that point because I just wanted to be done with the taxes. After a couple of years when I received a notice from the tax authority related to his filing, I contacted him. He didn't respond to emails, or calls. Blew a scheduled meeting. Overall, not a professional at all. I think he's received 5-star reviews through his sweet-talk but that doesn't necessarily translate into professionalism. I would not go back to him again unless I had to.

Abe at Aegean has looked after me from day one. I have quite complex accounts and tax records and have had mixed dealings with other accountants in the bay area. Abe put me at ease from our first meeting and has been nothing but helpful for the past three years.
I would highly recommend Abe to anyone who needs an accountant who will focus on them and get to grips with their accounts and tax - all at a fair price.

Abe is a phenomenal tax consultant who is friendly, honest, highly skilled, creative, and excels at customer service. I highly recommend working with him for either business or personal taxes. I worked with Abe for both my business and personal taxes last year. He did a wonderful job fitting me in as a new client in the midst of his very busy tax season. He is a master of the tax system and understanding how to get the most for his clients. Abe will also go above & beyond to accommodate his clients! I set up a meeting with Abe yesterday to get a head start on my 2015 business taxes. Abe went out of his way to meet up with me at his office. Unfortunately, due to my poor planning, I had to push back our appointment by 30 minutes. Abe was extremely accommodating and was willing to wait the extra 1/2 hour since he did not have an appointment scheduled directly after mine. I consider Abe to be easy to reach since he accepts calls both on his office phone and directly on his cell phone. He is not available to pick up every phone call because he is very busy. And he is very busy because he is a phenomenal tax consultant.
