Mina was amazing! She was knowledgeable, thorough and precise. She was very professional and was meticulous with our information. She had a broad and in-depth grasp of the tax laws and application to our specific needs resulting in a very substantial savings for our return. She made every effort in producing our return, and double- and triple-checked each entry. Very grateful for how thorough she was in working on each specific tax schedule for both our personal and business returns. She was also able to make recommendations for next year which will again result in more savings, which we wished we had done for previous years, a result of many years of experience submitting a variety of tax returns. Thank you to Mina and her supportive staff!

I do not usually spend my time writing negative reviews, but I feel that others need to be warned about this business. The short(er) story: After we decided to NOT do business with her and after we told her this and asked for our paperwork back, Mina filed my partner's taxes for him, without him signing the required document that would allow her to do so, and most importantly, she DID NOT TELL US that she did this. We then filed his taxes on our own, and are now dealing with the IRS telling us that his taxes were filed twice. It's been a huge pain, has involved hours on the phone with the IRS, and they are investigating this situation as potential identity theft on Mina's end. We were emailing with Mina in the days leading up to this and my partner also saw her in person when he picked up our paperwork. She had many opportunities to tell us that she filed his taxes. And even so, we had never confirmed that we wanted her to file - we were waiting on tax advice before moving forward with filing. This was not a misunderstanding, this is unethical business practices. FIND SOMEONE ELSE! DO NOT USE THIS ACCOUNTANT. The long story: We met with Mina for tax advice and because we wanted an accountant to file our somewhat complicated taxes this year. During our first meeting, there were a lot of warning signs - her office gave us less than 24 hours notice of what paperwork we needed to bring and never sent along the link that would allow us to upload documents digitally. They then just took all our originals and didn't make copies of any paperwork related to taxes. Mina was running very late for our meeting and didn't apologize or introduce herself when it was finally our turn. She did not wear a mask or appear to have one with her during a period when this was required in Los Angeles. My partner is immunocompromised and we had an unvaccinated baby at home at the time. The biggest issue though, is that she told us she would run some numbers and get back to us "in a few days" and then never got back to us with an update. We emailed her several times over the course of a month asking for updates and got one response - "I'm working on it." That was the entire email. We then received no response to other repeated, respectful requests for information about our taxes. When we called her office after 4 weeks, asking for our paperwork back, her receptionist said there was no record on her end of us ever having been there or of our tax documents. Only after we threatened in an email to report Mina to the CBA did we get a response from her. We made it clear on March 22nd through email that we wanted our paperwork back. On March 23rd she wrote, "Your files would be ready for pick up if you choose not to file with us." That same day, or possibly the next day, she then filed my partner's taxes without his consent and without telling us she did this, which has caused a horrible situation with the IRS for us. We only found out that she did this because the IRS was able to tell us that Mina filed, and on what date.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I just called to ask about how consultations work and the receptionist turned out to be so incompetent that she wasn't even able to explain the process, let alone communicate effectively. Then she literally hung up on me!!!! Lol They just lost a big customer.

Mina transposed the second two numbers of my income on my 2020 federal tax return (e.g., instead of 123, she put 132). I received a CP2000 which imposed a $2,000 penalty (on top of back taxes). I reached out to Mina for help with the penalty (since it was her error, and I relied on her purported professional expertise in preparing the return). She didn't respond for over a week, and then - when she did finally respond - tried to claim that the W2 I gave her showed my income as "132." I told her that was not the case because the copy of the W2 stapled to the hard copy return that she provided to me showed my income as "123." She responded with an abrupt message that, since the income was incorrectly reported, I owed the IRS the back taxes. I told her that I already knew that but, again, wanted assistance with the penalty. All the while, the CP2000 deadline is fast approaching ..... a deadline that she is fully aware of because I expressly provided it in my correspondence to her, and it was included on the CP2000 copy that I sent to her. Needless to say, I received another message (one day before the deadline) that she "will see what she can do." She is the only tax professional who would not cover for her own mistake. I worked with a new tax professional for my 2021 taxes, and she said that, if it were her, she would have offered to pay the penalty. Indeed, this is a common practice when the tax preparer is the one who made a mistake.Avoid Mina at all costs!!!!!

Do not go to Mina ~ she refuses to admit she makes misandrist you pst the price. She forgets everything ~ more to come ~ Mina that is not true you dropped the ball and didn't do your job. I see other people have had the same problem. Stay tuned I have more for you.

Woah, just when I was stressing out about getting a POA - this place saved my a*** My dad is quite elderly, I've been pushing getting POA for the longest time ever ...being the anxious daughter I can be. I randomly decided to get it done on a Friday afternoon I had off and found this via Yelp and heyyyy, the staff were SO kind and helpful. Mina was awesome, going through my POA forms, clarifying any confusion and making us feel comfortable/welcome about the area and me taking care of my dad, and also giving me guidance on next steps and things to take into account. It was quick and so easy that my dad didn't complain (which is rare) Thank you so much Mina!

Its tax time and I have the place for you to feel secure, heard and watched over as you weave through the labyrinth of taxes.Mina and her team continue to not only to watch over our taxes but teach us along the way. When Mina and her team are aware I haven't gotten their point after telling me numerous times, they are patient, laugh and tell me once again. They understand that not all minds can plug completely into the complexity of taxes. I consider myself a somewhat intelligent person (lol), but do not always have the bandwidth for taxes, and this is where I am the most grateful and I know they have me (and my partner in our company). This matters, and allows me to continue to focus on my work. I am now going to see Mina each quarter to make sure I am staying on track, and this will make each year's "End" even easier. I recommend them highly. 5 stars is not enough. I know this may sound like I work for them, haha...but the truth is when your tax team has you, you really appreciate it. I should have given them a review years ago. Give them a call today.

Mina has been doing my taxes for 10 years. In that time, she has fixed the errors that my previous tax person made, assisted me in setting myself up as self employed (as a had had my own business for years and has saved me a lot of money), has taught me to be more responsible with record keeping. I have learned so much from her, she has played a major role in turning my finances around.

I came here for notary service I walked in and NO ONE was wearing a mask.Maybe they don't typically work with the public and weren't expecting a walk in. I immediately had my service performed outside. They were quick and efficient. I felt very uncomfortable with the no mask situation.

The best service you can get! I have known Mina for more than 5 years now. I initially had another accountant who would not pay attention to anything, and then I switched to Mina, and i have been so happy ever since! Even now, that I live in Massachusetts, Mina is still preparing my taxes, as I trust nobody else. I am not big client, but I am an ordinary person filing their taxes in the US. All these years she has been patient, answering my questions, explaining things to me, and preparing and filing my taxes. Everything was filed on time and correctly, and her fees are very reasonable! I saw the negative reviews, and I find them very unfair (my personal opinion based on my experience all these years) but then again, it is impossible for everyone to like you, even if you try hard and you do things right. Next time before you judge someone though, just ask yourself whether you would have done anything for free, because Mina tonight, Saturday evening, has replied to my e-mail, and she was not even paid for this, and it's not the only time this happened. In conclusion, if you want friendly, professional and reliable service look no further. You can definitely trust Mina!

Mina is not only an astute tax preparer with a comprehensive knowledge of the tax code, she is also a savvy business partner, always looking for ways to help her clients. I don't understand how anyone could write a negative review about her services. I have been going to Westside Income Tax for the past 4 years, and have had a positive experience each time. If there are any issues, Mina and her team are quick to resolve them, and are always a phone call away. Her new hires are also fantastic, including Alan and the front office. Finally, what strikes me most about Mina is her ability to simplify the complex. Although you could turn elsewhere or file your taxes yourself, I highly recommend Mina and her team if you're looking to leave no stone unturned and maximize your tax benefits.
