18 years of military haircuts, but my latest experience was a disaster. No fade, just a botched job with a comb. Paid half and left, with the barber telling me not to return. Despite claiming 30 years of experience, they made excuses and did a terrible job. First time I've ever had to leave a bad review, and going to get another haircut. See for yourself.

my mom and i were very satisfied with our cut and June's service. she was very nice and welcoming, quick and her 30 years of experience shows. she has very light hands. highly recommend!

First trip there for my 3 year old son to get a haircut and it was great. No appointment needed, we just walked right in. June was quick, professional, offered him a prize and made him super comfortable. We'll be back.

Friendly service and a great job handling my super thick hair. I mentioned that I have trouble doing braids and pony tail styles because of the thickness and she styled it into a super cute braid after the cut.

I called to check the prices and if they’re still open considering it’s almost Christmas Eve holidays. I went to the salon and the lady saw my hair (which is curly) and said she can’t do it!! Absolutely nonsense. Her reason was “it’s too beautiful” and that she doesn’t want to ruin it.. HUH?

I've never had a go-to hair salon -- until now. The shampoo & haircut I got here was top-notch! My hair is a little weird (or maybe it's my head) in that I usually have hair sticking out in odd protrusions if I get my hair cut shorter than shoulder length. This time, I don't know what Jun did, but my hair sits perfectly framing my face! And the price was very very reasonable for shampoo, haircut & blow dry. I highly recommend Jun at Waves Salon on Jefferson x Slauson in Culver City! Oh & btw, a Total Wine & More just opened very nearby & there's a Honey Baked Ham, Winchell's Donuts & a Big Lots nearby too, so you can get a LOT done in one trip....

A late review but I started going here in 2018. What I thought would be a quick and mediocre hair salon turned out to be my go-to throughout my 2 year stay in LA. The owner is the sweetest, most thoughtful human being and will always make you feel welcome. I would go out of my way to get my haircut here religiously every 2 weeks and would always be greeted with the same smile and heartwarming conversations. I'm glad to see that this place is still around, and that speaks volumes to the quality of the business and the respect customers have for this local salon. Please pay this business a visit if you can! If I were to move back to LA, I would go back here in a heartbeat.

June is a life saver!! I went to another hairdresser and they totally botched my hair. June did an amazing and beautiful job at fixing it and it looks sooo good! She is the sweetest and kept hyping me up throughout the haircut. I went in at 810am and was seen right away. Probably helped that I was the only one there lol. It is cash only so be aware of that. Will definitely be returning to her in the future.Service: Haircut

Awesome haircut from June! I have curly hair and she dry cut it so I didn't fully appreciate the cut until my next wash day. She gave me awesome layers so my curls are springy and defined. Highly recommend!
