Should've read the reviews before booking an appointment.... These groomers are untrained people picked off the street, that's what it honestly seems like. The groomer receptionist told me they aren't able to groom due to them having curly hair, Lizbeth their manager told me if they aren't comfortable grooming then they aren't obligated. My dogs aren't hostile or bad tempered so I was confused. I regularly get them groomed at different locations. These people seem lazy and unfriendly. Petco please retrain your employees. These groomers should have some sort of license to be able to cut their hair. Luckily I went down the street to pampered tails which had way better costumer service! She also informed me that their coat was in perfect condition. Petco employees do better, seems like they wanted to find any excuse in the book not to work..

I was at this store and saw how rude the associate eduardo was with some customers in the reptile department. He refused to show the available geckos and said he would only show the custumer see them if she was going to buy them otherwise he couldnt show what was available since they were hidding. You cant sell reptiles or any other animal companion if you dont let the customer choose the one they like. Customer service should always be number one. Associates need to be trained in improving their people skills. You can tell who both is knowledgeable and who doesnt like their job. The bathroom was really dirty aswell.

a total disaster!!! please save yourself of the heartache of botched grooming this guy, rafael at culver city petco was supposedly the expert in goldendoodle cut. i spent alnost 10 minutes with him, explaining in detailas that:1. do not cut short. just trip and even out 2. trim legs round3. do not in any ways cut the top of her head, and just even it.so what did he do? this guy grabbed a 1/2 inch buzz cut and shaved her down!!! i could have done it myself if i wanted it like this. uneven ear cuts, uneven hair cut. looks like he dipped the buzzer in too much right between eyes, he nicked her with kwxhine around her backside, which is cut and red and very uncomfortablefor her. And her head is completely cut down to nothing after 3 timess tellinghim not to cut it short!!! i'm not a groomer but have seen dozens of times how it's done right and hundreds of times online as I researched for proper grooming, just like i'm not a chef but can tell good or bad food from each other. This guy should not be allowed to touch any animal. he saw my concerns. and he kept saying " i gotch you, I gotch you ". well, he shooow got me!!! what a sorry excuse for a groomer. I could have literally done this with my ien pet grooming machine. I paid $120, and even tipped the guy $20 (I'm just raised that way to tip those who work for me or give service). Certainly not earned. petco, you're responsible for hiring such incompetent indiviand charge customers so much and put our pets in harm's way.

First day of dog training with my 4 month old goldendoodle. Daniel is great!! Love his teaching approach (he has Cali K9 training which is amazing). Best of all Penny was super receptive to him and we can't wait to go back.

Cramped. Low cielings. Odd layout. Limited parking. Linoleum at entrance is bubbling. Didnt purchase anything, so no interaction with employees to see if morale is compromised

Received some of the worst service I've experienced in a lifetime at this store. They have a grace period for grooming. It doesn't matter if there's police activity in the neighborhood. If it's pouring rain. They do not care. They will not cut you two minutes of slack. Go anywhere else.

The first time I took my dog to Petco Grooming I arrived to pick him up and his foot was bleeding and they told me they had closed his foot in the door by accident. Didn't apologize, didn't offer any discount on services, and didn't even bandage his foot. I didn't complain, paid the bill, put my pup in the car with blood dripping everywhere and left. I never took him to another Petco Grooming again after that. That was probably around 7 years ago. I FINALLY decided to give Petco Grooming another chance. I called and made an appointment yesterday. Today I arrived and was informed that they wouldn't bathe him until they get proof of current rabies vaccination. I said "I booked the appointment yesterday and no one told me that I needed to bring in his vaccination records. I would have come prepared if you guys would have told me I needed to bring that in" The lady at front desk looked at me like I was stupid, ignored my comment and then stared at the computer screen, No apology and no sense of accountability. I could tell she was annoyed, "So you don't keep the records on you?" She said. I almost laughed. No, I do not walk around town with my dog's vaccination records in my purse. But I kept that comment to myself as I dialed my vet's number. When I was on hold, I told her the story about my dog getting his foot slammed in the door and injured and that I was nervous about bringing him back to a Petco groomers, she ignored the comment and just asked again about the vaccination records. (WOW!) By the time I got through to my vet and they emailed me the records, it was almost 30 minutes past the appointment time. I walked back in and showed her the records and asked her why no one gave me advance notice of this necessity and she still ignored the comment. (Wow, the lack of customer service is astounding) Right before she went to grab my dog to take him back I asked her how long it would be. She said it will probably take 3 hours. I told her that wouldn't work for me because I had to be at work in Westwood in 3 hours. She then informed me that most appointments usually take that long because they are a drop off service. I then told her that that is another thing that they should have told me over the phone when I made the appointment. I never would have even made the appointment if I would have known that it would take them 3 hours just to give him a bath. She informed me that is the normal wait time because they work on other dogs when they have mine back there. I reiterated again that this was a waste of my time and that they really should let people know these important details when they make the appointment. She paused and then through very gritted teeth said "I don't know who you spoke to over the phone or what they said to you. Sorry. About. That." She had zero sincerity and I could tell that she was angry at me. At that point I just grabbed my dog and walked out. The audacity that the lady had to be annoyed with me when they didn't properly inform me of very important details is astounding. I have gone to many groomers who do not even require you to show your vaccination records, so it's not common knowledge to always bring that with you. If they didn't have a current record of my dog's vaccination shots then they should have told me that when I made the appointment over the phone. Also a 3 hour wait for an appointment for a simple bath for a short haired frenchie is ridiculous. I could understand that wait time if I were a walk-in, but I had made an appointment. I've never had to wait that long at the groomer when I have made an appointment. But honestly if 3 hours is your normal wait time for a bath then that should be something you inform the customer of at the time they book the appointment. When you are running a business, transparency and communication is of the utmost importance. Took my dog to the groomers here. They CUT THE ENDS OF HER EARS OFF. Huge scabs. Took weeks to heal and also the haircut was the worst haircut ever. Compete trash they just shaved her bare. A doodle. Groomer went on "lunch" so when I picked her up she wasn't even there. They made me pay before I saw her. Honestly pretty sure they hire anyone off the street here to groom. Despicable.

This specific location had everything I needed for my new puppers. The service was not only efficient, quick, but friendly and accommodating. The people who work here are extremely reliable and friendly . Couldn't ask for better service !

Appalling.Had an appointment to get some shots for my two dogs. They told us that the vet got there an hour late. I would be fired from my job for showing up an hour late, but whatever.Next they had us wait for about 45 minutes. The vet was extremely rude and trying to rush everyone out. In her carelessness, she stabbed me with one of the needles used to inject my dog and I saw medication still squirting out when it happened.I had to tell her that she stabbed me with the needle to get her attention.Then, I was offered absolutely 0 discount or reprieve. The company wouldn't even send me for emergency attention to see if I was ok. Managers name is Raymond. Shocked this place can stay around, doesn't seem right treating people like this

I personally haven't had a bad experience with any employees. Everyone's been extremely nice except once before which isn't enough to complain about, everyone has their days..... What I will mention is that for a pet supply story you should have plenty of things in your tanks for your animals you are selling. Especially the reptiles. Why is there only one hide for 10 leopard geckos? Huge 20 gal tank and 1 hide, 3 little plants and a water dish. You guys have these little guys piled onto each other like some sardines in the one hide that probably can fit up to 5 lil guys in there... I almost bought one just so there was one less. Also, called the pet care number because don't feel like this is the employees fault, a manager maybe... and was hung up on before my call was answered. 5 mins of "your call is important to us" evidently not.

Stop employing people who hate their jobs. Third time at this location and it was the second time I had encountered the rudest service. The first was from a taller, slender brunette girl that seemed "high" and tried to avoid me. I wish she would've succeeded. She was the WORST. The second time was with a taller, slender, long haired, brunette man that was rude to my little girl when he was packaging a fish. He appeared high too. This experience is what led me to the PetSmart across the street and I'm thankful for it. Their employees don't dodge you and they are actually nice and informative. Imagine that.

I don't have any complaints about this place. The employees have always been friendly to me here. It is a good size store with good selection. You need to watch their stock especially in the fish section, but it can be fun to wait for something exciting to come in. You just need to buy it if you see it because there is no telling when they may have them again; particularly speaking on the guppies. They had some amazing neon colored endlers when I was in last month and they were gone within a few days!

We brought 20 crickets just within 2 hrs and feeding them properly like we used to with the pet smart crickets. Less than 2 hrs they all dead and ants all around the cage I called the store and the sales asked me to BRING Them BACK so we can get refund. Bring them back means being the dead crickets with all the ants in the cage transport in our car? Are you kidding me? With less than $4 dollar revenue you refused to take care of it your service and Attitude 1000% well deserved this feedback and rating! Never go to this store never again !!!
