I confess I've passed this place hundreds of times without a second thought, but I finally stopped in last week, and I'm glad I did. It's the textbook essence of a mom 'n pop operation, which means personal service by people who really care about treating you right, 'cause this is what they do. It's all they do. I rented a gas powered "jumping jack" compactor, to tamp down some decomposed granite. Brand new device. Worked like a charm. To be fair: because it's such a small place, they might not have *everything* you'd want. So, for example, I'd hoped to rent a vibrating plate compactor, but no luck. They also didn't have any wheelbarrows, which I needed. But the *do* have ladders, which I'll also be needing. So it's a bit hit-and-miss, selection wise. But the personal service is such that I just can't give 'em any fewer than 5 stars.

Rented auger here. The manager wasn't very helpful. Tried to asked questions and would just be real short and roll his eyes was rude to me even for being a paying customer. Manager did not wear mask in small shop either while all other employees did during covid time. The owner and another employee tried to help with renting equipment which I appreciated.

Came here to find the right nail to hang my painting. The guy at the counter was so kihelpful and patient! Will definitely come back! --a year ago I left this review. One year later I went back to this hardware store to find the solution for another project. Andy was so patient, knowledgeable, and spent time explaining tools to me. I was there for 15 minutes and only spent $0.12 to get the right thing. He could have easily tried to sell me things that I didn't really need considering my lack of knowledge in this field. I walked out the store all smiles and am just grateful that I have this cute little store in my neighborhood. Andy is like a grandpa that I don't have!

This place is amazing. For any indoor. Outdoor, large or small no matter the size projects. Tools to go has anything and everything you need or are looking for. I'll be back for anything I need. Fantastic and amazing shop.

We called to get some help and they were super rude and dismissive. Life is too short and there are too many awesome people in the world to deal with yahoos.

Someone in a Tools To Go van almost ran me over coming south on Overland. You can rent tools from them, but in my opinion, they don't care much for your safety or well-being. Do yourself a favor, and find a place that won't risk the lives on cyclists and pedestrians to get their work done.

Always the best service and selection of tools and fasteners. Senco, Hitachi, Makita, Milwaukee, Grex, Bosch, and PorterCable.
We have been dealing with the them for almost 30 years.

I usually never put up reviews but I'd like everyone to just save your time and money because this is the worst place to go to if you want equipment and good service. They don't care about the customers time and money. They just try to have you give them a huge deposit first then NOT do the service. Also, I have never experienced such a rude person in my life. DONT waste you time on them. You might as well go to Home Depot.
