We board our girls here when we go on vacation. They girls always seem tired when we pick them up, which is hard as they are Belgian Malinios. We would use them again.

Looks like a sweet place and the people seem to care about the dogs in their care. I picked up my granddog and they forgot to give me her food, so meh on service.Better service the 2nd time around...and they offer late pickup, which made this weekend of dogsitting super easy.

Disappointing. Poor communication. Was told I would receive pics and videos of my doggy’s stay - they didn’t send. No update was provided. Gave it a try 3x. Never again.

Read all reviews first. All I did was schedule an interview for the kennel position, only to show up and be told there's Noone there to do the interview. They had my number. Told to come back next day. I see now why they might be shortstaffed. Between the awful reviews, and my experience, too many red flags already. The dogs are the ones I worry about. Good luck on your journey rover. I'm a great employee, too bad guys.

I adopted my dog Uma from the rescue group operated by an owner of Rover Kennels. My dog is very cute. You would love her too. I'm at work in a parking lot right now and I already miss that dog. Even if she does tear up all my sleeves.

When I ask my dog if he wants to go to Rover, he becomes overwhelmed with excitement. What better review is that!

They are great. My dogs jump right out to greet staff when dropped off. They were also very helpful with finding fostering resources when we were unable to keep our dogs due to family illness.

Best daycare in LA! Two locations - Santa Monica and culver city make this super convenient for westsiders and the staff is warm, true dog lovers and make me, and my fur baby (120 lb bernese mtn dog) feel safe, cared for and genuinely appreciated. They have great hours and after hour pickup (for a addl fee) which is so great as many just automatically make you board your dog if you can’t get there by closing…what if you go to a concert or movie or dinner after work?! Rover gives you options! They have a good size indoor play area and while I wish they had a doggy cam or report card, the proof is how my pup reacts when we get there-she bounds out of the car and can’t wait to get in and play with the staff and her friends. Special shout out to Billy, Alex and Bennet for being so great with her!

best dog kennel on the west side of Los angeles. this is not a giant, multi-facility business. the people here actually care about your dogs.

The only thing that really matters- my dog is excited when we show up here to drop him off, and he comes home tired and happy. It's not the fanciest boarding place, but the people there truly love dogs, and it's obvious they take good care of them.

This is a beautiful, awesome place for doggies. Staff is knowledgeable and patient. Their method for care is very sound and thoughtful.

I'm not really the type to leave reviews and I did receive a full refund for my dogs stay due to the issues I encountered, however I also felt I needed to document my concerns, in the best interest of anyone considering or making boarding reservations at this location. I recently went out of town on a 2 night trip, and booked my 16 year old dog to stay in the Presidential Suite. (*Note, she is very active & mobile, not your typical senior dog). Prior to the trip I took her to a temperament interview and tour of the facility which was hosted by the business owner (Jeff). The conversation impressed me as he assured me of their processes and policies and I felt super positive about my dogs upcoming stay. During the temperament test, I also filled out a multipage document detailing my dogs needs, medications, personality etc. At drop off I met with the attendant and again shared all of my dogs details. He took notes and assured me that she would be well taken care of. Due to her medication she pees a lot, and I gave them a stack of pee pads and asked them to place in the room as she is trained to pee on them instead of having an accident in her room. I also pre-prepared all of her food, and included the exact amount of pills - with a label noting the dosage. I also - JUST TO BE SURE - sent a detailed email to Rover, noting all this info again. I also called twice during the weekend, and they assured me over the phone that she was eating and taking her meds. On return to LA, I picked her up and was shocked at her condition after a 2 night stay. She had been groomed 3 days prior, but was now covered in dried urine, especially on her legs and tail. The attendant who helped at checkout, did not know where any of her belongings were (her bed and a bag I had packed her belongings in) and it was a long process to find them. This concerned me as I had booked her in the only Presidential suite, so all of her belongings should have been contained there. When I got home and unpacked her bag, I realized that her pee pads had not been used (probably the reason she was covered in urine), nor had her medications been given. I then received 2 alerts from my credit card, that I had been charged twice for her stay. I contacted Rover and voiced my concerns about her wellbeing, the medications, and the extra credit card charge. The gentleman I spoke to told me the owner would call me back the next day. After 3 days, I hadn't received a call, and when I called back the person on duty said, "yes there is a note here with your concern, we were busy, it was a mistake and we are looking into it, and we will refund your money". However, still no contact from the owner, and honestly it didn't seem like they cared much about my concerns. I appreciate they refunded the money, however this is serious medication - and I literally communicated via 4 different methods the instructions for her care. How was this missed, especially when booking the "Presidential Suite". I'm disappointed in the owner, it seems all talk and no follow through when there is a problem. Safe to say I will not be booking or recommending this facility again - too much of a risk and clearly has organizational/management issues...

Customer service (answering questions via email) is horrible! Another thing they're terrible with is transparency. Last time I will ever use them. The last two times, my dog has injuries without reasonable explanations.

I wish I would've seen the reviews before I booked here. Looking through them now, the other 1 star reviews resonate very similarly to my experience. I brought my dog here for the first time and will never be bringing him back. When I called to make the reservation, they told me since he would be in a private room he wouldn't have to do the daycare evaluation (since he wouldn't be with other dogs), and that they could do a temperament evaluation with the staff the day I brought him in (not scheduled on a different day in advance). I made a reservation and arranged to drop him off before their front desk hours started (which they said was perfectly fine and normal, I just had to let them know in advance). I called the day before to confirm, because I had heard nothing from them. They couldn't find my reservation, then said I needed to do an evaluation first. I told them I had been told otherwise, and since it was late in the day, the day before the reservation, I couldn't get in for an evaluation. They said they would make an exception since I had been told otherwise. I also asked them about needing my dog's vaccination info, and they said "they'll get it when you bring him in." So I go to drop him off (which I had arranged ahead of time to drop him before 9 am), and no one is answering the door. I had to pound on the door for 15 minutes before someone finally came to let us in. I mentioned to the girl that my dog had not pooped yet that morning, and she just said "ok". I go to pick him up 12 hours later, and they just hand me my dog and say nothing. Nothing about how he did, nothing about feeding him, etc. I take my dog outside and he immediately pees for an abnormally long amount of time. I go back in and said I had a few questions since it had been his first time. When I asked when he had last been taken out to potty, the girl at the front told me that he hadn't. She said because he was in a private room, he was just left there all day. I was horrified and asked again, "so he wasn't taken out to potty at ALL?" She said no, if you want that it costs extra. I said I would NEVER have left my dog there for 12 hours if I had known he wouldn't be taken out. She then said "that's why we tell you to have an evaluation first because they go over all that information". To which I responded "I was told I didn't need one!" She also said that they normally just wait for the dog to go potty/poop IN THE PRIVATE ROOM, and then they clean it up. The entire time during this conversation, the girl at the desk was SMIRKING at me. Like she thought it was funny that I was upset about them leaving my dog without a bathroom break for 12 hours. I was so upset I wanted to cry. Over the course of multiple phone calls with at least 4 different people before the reservation, one phone call during the reservation (to check on him), and speaking face to face with two different people upon drop off, NO ONE mentioned that my dog would not be getting any potty breaks unless I request it and pay extra. Not one person. What kind of place FOR dogs treats dogs this way?? I have been working in pet care for the past five years, so I know what *should* be going on in facilities like this. Which is why I'm so disgusted with the way they treated my dog, and me. I was never shown any paperwork regarding policies and procedures. They never asked for or received his vaccinations, either. I am appalled at the unorganization, extreme unprofessionalism, and general apathy for the welfare of a living animal in their care.
