I come to this PetSmart all the time with my Aunt who has a pet but I don't. I just help her lift the heavy litter for her cat. So we were in there this past Sunday and were very pleasantly satisfied with the outstanding customer service given from Staff Associate/Dog Trainer Lucas. It was so surprising to go into a store nowadays and actually have an employee sincerely make you feel like they want to help you. I thought at 1st he was going to get annoyed when we ask for help like most stores you go to but No Lucas was so patient and kind and believe me my aunt is extremely hard to please. Lucas shared with us examples of how he deals with his own pets to give us of a clear example on how to work with my aunts. He was genuinely a nice guy. He should be running the place. No offense to whoever is Manager. Thanks Team Jefferson PetSmart they are all nice also the young lady who handles the cats in the back is a true gem. Keep up the good work you guys really make your customers feel like you appreciate our business.

We had an appointment today @ 10 AM with Kelly R for grooming services for our puppy. We had booked a full cut & bath for our 4 month old dog, to which she informed us that they don't do full cuts on dogs until 6 months because it may effect their hair regrowth (weird that it even let us book this then/had it as an option?) so that they would only cut his face, paws & sanitary area. During this initial interaction, she was so dismissive and rude that I turned to my fiancé & asked if we should just take him home & wash him ourselves - but we really wanted his face trimmed so we decided to just let it go, & pay for the grooming service.When booking the grooming, I received an email confirmation that says grooming takes about 2-3 hours. *I have two other doodles of the same size that have been groomed for over 8 years, every other week, full shaves at a different PetSmart - it almost always takes 2.5 hours total for both dogs*. With this in mind, and knowing he was receiving not even close to a full shave, I figured he would be done relatively quickly. ESPECIALLY since he's a puppy - and has never been groomed before.2 hours and 15 minutes goes by. We decided to go get lunch in the same shopping center as the PetSmart, assuming he would be done in the next hour. Before going to lunch, I walked into the grooming salon just to check to see how long they thought he would be, as it would affect our lunch plans.I asked a different team member how long he would be. She then informed me that it would be a few more HOURS before our 4 month old dog (there for a bath and puppy cut), would be ready. I asked why it was taking so long, for them to tell me that it always took 4-5 hours to groom dogs. I was extremely confused & taken aback, & ended up just saying ok & leaving.I called my parents (who have the two labradoodles), & they said they have never had their dogs take that long, getting full shaves! My mother in law also works at a dog shelter, & she informed us that you should never have that young of a dog being groomed for that long, as it will traumatize the dog.I started to walk back to the Petsmart, (I was just going to tell them to give him back). I then received a call from Kelly (at this point I was standing right outside the door to the Petsmart). She told me that he had pooped/peed & she had to rewash him and thats why it had taken so long. I told her that on their email it says 2-3 hours, and explained the experiences that I had with my parents dogs. Regardless of if she had to wash him twice, he wasn't getting a full cut (or even close to that) & it had been 2.5 hours. She ARGUED with me, saying she didn't know why it says 2-3 hours on THEIR EMAIL because it always takes 4-5 hours, & that she does "6-10 dogs a day". I told her that we dropped him off at 10AM, & she told me she already had 5-6 dogs for the day at that time. Not sure why they are allowing their groomers to take so many dogs if they cant do their scheduled appointments. She then told me that she had been blow drying him & he didn't like his face done "so he was in the crate to give him a break". I asked her "So the only thing thats been done is his bath, and he's dry except for his face?" & she responded "yes", to which I informed her that I would be picking him up then (again, I'm right outside the door to Petsmart).We walked in to get him, right behind someone who had dropped off their dog at the same time. This person was there for their dog getting a full shave, & was picking up their completed animal.He was so traumatized he didn't even hardly notice we were there. His head she told me was not dry, magically dried in the 30 secs it took me to walk in after our phone call. She told us she had done "everything except his paw pads and nails".When we got home I checked him - his sanitary areas were not done, his ears were not plucked, his face hadn't been cut. I have been a PetSmart Grooming customer for approx. 25 years. The Culver City location is very disappointing. Lately, the groomers listen to nothing the customer is asking them not to do. They groom my dog as they see fit, uneven and too short where I specifically told them that I prefer to let it grow out. It's almost as if some of their groomers need to return to training! Very disappointed and unfortunately time to look for another grooming salon.

I am really happy with their grooming. They did a fabulous job with my senior dog. They were very gentle with him because he suffers from arthritis and sprained ACL. I won't take him anywhere else!

Customer service is far less than adequate. I asked 3 people to point to the turtles and none of them were any help. One person told me he was off. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to show someone where the damn turtles are located.

It was alright, but there just were not many pet carrier types, which is what I needed at the time. Also they only seem to have no catnip so if you want that try elsewhere.

Every time I get service by Miss D she never disappoints me. My little Chrissy is always pretty when she comes out from the groomer. Although it took a few services before I reached my final decision. Please know that this is not to discredit others work everyone does a great job my preference choice was Miss D.. she professional friendly she listens and communicates and she does a amazing job with poodle’s..Award goes to Miss D… keep up the good work thanks luck to have found you appreciate your service.!!!!
