Don't come here. Worst place ever. Worst customer service. This guy Pedro is the worst. Over priced us for a used tire and then asked for cash up front while insulting me. Then when I said that his price was ridiculous he told me that if I didn't move my car he would ram it with his trailer. I don't know who employes someone like this but omg please fire him. He was rude and discriminated against my husband. Absolute worst shop.

These people are thieves. The owner will overprice, pretend there are other mechanical issues with your vehicle, if any, and intentionally prolong fixing your vehicle to charge you for items that didn't even need repair in the first place. This place is located right by the freeway, their customers are mostly desperate if they find themselves on the freeway when something needs to be repaired. Pedro and his side kick take advantage of that and they'll take advantage of you and your credit card. With complete dishonesty is how they run this business. They should be jail.

Had a bumper fender bender on a Sunday when all of the body shops were closed, we came here for a quick fix up and the man working was incredibly nice and helpful! Secured the bumper protector in under an hour and sent us on our way. Would recommend to anyone!

Had a defective front tire. They wanted $25 put the spare and an extra $10 to put it on the back instead of the front. It seem outrageous so I was just going to change it my self and they told me I couldn't do it there. It was going g to take 5min tops but they didn't care. I get it it's their business but they could have been nicer. I am glad I didnt give them any thing. I expected too much from them

I got a flat tire today and this was the first station off the freeway for me to pull into. Pedro and Ray showed me where my tire was damaged as well as my wheel (I had hit a pothole). Then they quoted me a price, put the spare on, and off to work I went. They were kind enough to fix my wheel quickly so I wouldn't have to drive the 20 miles home late tonight on the spare. I feel lucky that this was the station I happened to come upon.

There are not enough kind words to describe my gratitude for Ray and Pedro! Not once, but twice they have repaired a tire for me. Both times they were super friendly and went above and beyond to serve me. They are very honest and reasonably priced too, which is hard to find these days with mechanics :( I give them 10 stars!!

This place deserves no stars. I was disgusted by their customer service and the way they tried ripping me off. I recommend no one to come to this shop to get any type of auto service from them, please spend your money somewhere else with people who are more decent than these scammers. I got a flat on the freeway and was taken there by a tow truck since it was the closest tire shop to my job. I left my car there because I had to go work. The owner of the shop told me he'd call me to give me an estimate. He tried charging me $70 for a used tire and his service or $22.50 to put my spare tire on. I thought it was insanely expensive considering I've only ever payed $35 at most for every used tire I've ever gotten in my Life. I told him my friend was going to go pick up my car and change it himself because he was charging me too much. He insisted on he changing it himself and made every excuse to do so. He gave me another call but I couldn't answer because I was at work. My friend got there and a worker there refused to give him my car key because he said the owner had taken it with him. I called the owner and he said since I didn't answer my phone he went ahead to take my key to Santa Monica with him. My friend thought it was okay to change my tire there since the owner had taken my key without my consent. The worker there kept pushing my friend and threatened to mess up the rest of my tires if he tried changing my tire at their shop. (My car wouldn't have been at their shop if the owner had not taken my key!) I didn't want to get my friend in trouble because I know he wouldve probably knocked him out after getting pushed by this man, so I told him to leave, I was going to take care of it on my lunch break. I called the owner to see if he was there with my key and he said yes, I told him i was going to pick up my car and refused to get any type of service from them. They yelled at me over the phone, and said they weren't going to give me my key until I payed $22.50 for them to put on my spare on, or Pay a parking fee. At that point I was ready to call the police. I've never been so repulsed by the trouble these men caused in order to earn $22.50. They didn't get or will never get any money from me, my family or friends because I will warn everyone about their horrible service, and how money hungry they are. I've worked in customer service for years and I will never treat anyone the way they treated us. I believe in karma and bad things will happen to you when you try to take advantage of other people. So for the sake of “paredes auto repair†change the way you deal with customers!

BEWARE - Major con artist / scammer / cheater / liar! Do NOT take your car here! I brought my car into Paredes Auto around 12/12/15 and was told the block was cracked / needed to be replaced on my 2007 Honda civic. Pedro, the owner, first quoted me $4000 for this work but then later said he spoke to Honda and they would do the block replacement for $1500 (I should have realized something was wrong right here). Pedro ended up taking my car into the Honda dealership directly and Honda replaced the block and did the full assembly. Once the work was done (12/19), Pedro said Honda charged him $1500 + sales tax for this block assembly work and he was charging me an additional $548 for the water pump replacement he did plus misc fees (fluid change, storage fee, etc). I paid Pedro for this service plus work for the water pump replacement for a grand total of $2180 on 12/24/15. I found out shortly after that all 2006 - 2009 Honda Civic's have an extended warranty on their engines blocks if cracked and that my car is covered under this extended warranty. I then decided to call Honda directly and Honda themselves confirmed that my car was brought in to them, Honda completed the block assembly work AS WELL AS replaced the water pump, and they did NOT charge Pedro / Paredes or me for this service what so ever. Honda provided me with an invoice detailing all work completed by them on the block / water pump replacement and that there was no charge. I am happy to provide anyone with this invoice as well as my receipts from Paredes to show I was wrongfully charged for this work. Consumer report notice about the extended warranty bulletin # 10-048 When I contacted Pedro for my money back he argued that Honda DID do the work but since I "approved the cost, tough luck". I approved a cost he TOLD me Honda was charging for the block assembly and work he SAID he did on the water pump himself (which he didn't even do) and trusted he was telling me the truth. He refused to provide me proof of invoice from Honda that they charged for this work or proof of receipt that he paid for it on my behalf. Again though, Honda said as a consumer I wasn't and shouldn't have been charged for the work at all as it was completely covered under the extended warranty. In Summary: I'm being defrauded by this independent car mechanic in that he hoped I wouldn't become aware of the extended warranty information and he charged me for work that he DID NOT complete that Honda themselves confirmed they completed and didn't charge for. I've spent hours on the phone with Honda and my CC company, driving all over LA for invoices and arguing with this guy. I have started a case / claim with Honda as well as a billing dispute with my credit card company. I'm reporting this to the BBB and ripoff report as well as considering suing them just for the principle of the thing. Merry xmas, you liars! Thanks for making my holiday a stressful one. Again I have copies of my receipt and detailed invoice from Paredes and the detailed invoice from Honda of work they completed that shows no charge. If the independent mechanic himself had completed this work, normally I'd file a reimbursement claim with Honda. But since Honda completed the work and didn't charge, I shouldn't have had to pay Paredes for work he didn't do. He's basically charging me $2180 for driving my car to Honda and back! DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They WILL defraud you!
