Ginger's soul and craft are a necessary enlightenment for anyone's life! ? ? ? ? ? ? I am the 3rd generation to be blessed with the Ajello Family illumination. My Grandmother began the tradition of purchasing Ginger's breathtaking art for every holiday for everyone in the family, even her signature birthday and anniversary candles! Ginger and her candles became members of our family and this tradition continued on with my Mother and I now carry it forward.?????????????No other candle brings the healing love and light into your life that Ginger's candles do. You have to experience her candles for yourself AND do visit her store in Culver City to meet Ginger. You will understand then.I felt how special Ginger was in my heart long before I met her. When I finally did meet her for the first time with my Mother yesterday, it was a joy! My family has been ordering custom birthday candles for friends and family for several decades. Each one is unique and is a treasured gift. Ginger is an amazing talent. Service is excellent. Highly recommend.

I went to House of Candles today. Ginger, the owner, and candle craftsperson is extraordinary! She uses a wax recipe from over 100 years ago handed down from her grandfather. There is so much love and thought in what she creates, from wonderful personalized pieces for special occasions to simply beautiful tapers. I was taken by the history and care that goes into each candle. Ginger continues a tradition of integrity, pride in one's work, and honor for the ones who brought her to this trade. A real treasure!

Another hidden gem discovered right here in LA! Last year I was so frustrated at not finding the right size candles for my centerpiece as I entertained for the holidays. Definitely wasted too much time and money ordering online. Don't know how I didn't come across House of Candles before. This place is just beyond words. When I first walked I wasn't so sure about this place since my taste leans to fairly modern and clean. At first glance, I didn't think they would have what I was looking, most of the candles on display seemed very traditional. Well I was totally wrong! I brought in the pieces for which I was looking to get candles and what happened next took me by surprise since I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. Ginger has a huge selection of candles. So much so, that they are not all on display. I described what I was looking for and they would bring out the exact shape that I wanted. In addition, since I wanted red candles for Christmas, they not only dyed white candles for me, their red was exactly what I had been dreaming of last year. A wonderful, deep true red. Not that orange/red I got from the internet. Ginger and her staff are really just phenomenal and genuine. Just walk in, start talking to them and guarantee they will have it. Note: they are a cash only store.

This has been my go to for gorgeous candles and gifts of candles for over 60 years. Ginger made the candles for my wedding and for those of my daughters and now granddaughters. They are one of a kind artistic wonders that grace my home and that are touching for friends and colleagues to receive - they can't find them any other place. And don't miss the Christmas, Easter, Hanuka and other candles that are hand carved and exquisitely celebrate Holidays and family events.

House of Candles looks like an abandoned little shop in the middle of nowhere. So naturally, it caught my boyfriend's eye as we drove by and we just had to stop in. I looked it up first to confirm that it's even open, and I found the website. It looks like since 1981, they've supplied all the double wick candles for the entertainment industry, and they also do custom candles, so given that there were no reviews, I was even more intrigued. We walked in to discover a small room full of all the different kinds of candles you can imagine. Long, short, thick, thin, colored, solid, religious, for special events, everything. The candles are works of art. Most are unscented, but they have a small scented candles collection. The lady was very friendly too and didn't push anything on us. If you're looking for custom candles or just want to decorate your home with special candles, this is the place.

A Diamond in the Potpourri... Over the top artistic candles! The House of Candles makes the best candles I own. I hate to burn them because they are one of a kind, center pieces, birthday gifts, flower candle arrangements, and very special christmas candle gifts. The craftsmanship and care really shines through and if you must burn them they last long. I have owned a St Patrick's day and 4th of july candle for over 15 year. They are the candles that others ask "Where did you get those candles!"... House of Candles is a gem!
